Meeting with official management in the degree. Quite chaotic because most people do not agree with Byan's decision, especially parties that are pro with contractors. They argued with each other and gathered assumptions from each other until the management meeting formed two opposing camps.
“I disagree! how could you possibly make a decision like this? Your decision will embarrass contractor Byan. They could have cut off cooperation with us and in the end all projects will fail.” Edwin was most strongly opposed.
“True sir, we have been cooperating with this company for more than twenty years. How can we even drop our colleagues just because of one person's mistake?” someone commented and Maureen recorded every name on Edwin's side.
“DIAM!!” Byan began to get inflamed, making Maureen stunned.
The entire room was silent for a moment after hearing Byan's voice.
“As long as we discuss, you continue to discuss the problem of humiliating the contractor but no one has any problem with the condition of the victim's family. What exactly do you see in this matter? Do you think this is the victim's fault?” Byan spoke out loud. His sharp gaze swept across all the gazes fixed on him until those people were bowed in shame.
Except for Edwin, he just turned his face away. He strongly believes that Byan's ability is not as high as his ability to solve this problem.
“In this case, you continue to talk about the problem of project employees' carelessness. Do you know the cause of this accident? Have you also seen the floor plan of the house built?” Byan showed the plan of the construction of the house including a cross section of water and electricity that should be made.
All pairs of focused eyes stared at the screen that displayed the floor plan of the house that became the scene.
“Note that I circled. Here it is clear that, electricity on the first and second floors should not be connected like this.” Byan also shows a picture of the electrical connection that is the origin of the short circuit.
“But for efficiency reasons, the contractor ordered all floors one and two to use an installation like this.”
“For example, contractor employees are exposed to high voltage current when the panel is turned on. But have you ever thought, what if the result of this kind of homelessness even makes all the units of this house burn?"
"Maybe not only one life was lost but many lives. Who will be blamed? What is this man who has become a corpse? No no?!” byan's sentence was harsh enough to slap the management board against his decision. They were all silent not daring to interrupt and comment.
“The same incident happened nine years ago. Where someone died from the same incident. There are no reports as to what the issue continues. Don't you see that the contractor is ignoring this kind of problem? Who should be ashamed of letting such a big deal go. Who?!” Byan to break the table made Maureen stunned.
His heart was pounding as Byan forced him to recall all those events. Maureen's eyes to tear up when she saw the anger of Byan that seemed to represent her feelings. Unknowingly, the man had touched the deepest recesses of his heart. Maureen was devastated by Byan's efforts against all members of management who initially discouraged his efforts.
“Apardon is not difficult. Just admit that they've made a mistake and we don't defend him with any alibis. This incident has already happened twice which means, they have no improvement.”
“Apardon will not make us look low in the presence of others but will make us feel calmer.”
“I don't care if because of our request, the contractor wants to break the cooperation with us. Our loss will be nothing compared to the moral burden we have to bear on the families of the victims."
"They demand nothing but an apology and recognition for the wrongdoing the company where their family makes a living.”
“What's hard, huh? They were not even willing to step foot into the grieving house. Where are your conscience? Don't you imagine if you were in their position?”
Byan's voice began to weaken, he was indeed being carried away by his feelings. Meanwhile Edwin began to fidget. And one person opted out of this meeting room, Maureen.
He couldn't be in a room with people he didn't think of. So he decided to leave. Let Byan finish what he was supposed to finish. Maureen herself needed some time to calm herself down.

After the meeting ended, Melda got a call from Maureen. The senior invited Melda to drink coffee at one of the cafes.
“Kak, sorry long wait.” Melda came with her cheerful smile. It's so rushed.
He pulled out a chair and sat down in front of Maureen.
“I also not too long ago, pesen aja first.” Maureen answered casually.
“Okeeyy!” Melda is so excited. He raised his hand and a servant approached him.
His favorite coffee is also ordered along with other snacks.
“I haven't had lunch, so nyemilnya much,” I Melda after ordering some menu.
“No problem. Our work sometimes makes us not to take care of ourselves.”
“Iyaa, really brother. Moreover, Mr. Edwin is a plug, it's difficult for me to follow him.” The door has been opened.
Maureen gave a small smile hearing this innocent cursing of Melda.
“Where is it right so PA dirut, there is no difficulty?”
“Ya canuun kak, I'm very stressed. Crazy about his work. I got confused. I feel that I have forgotten all the info from brother, but still someone is missing. I got a nagging keep.”
“Just different from Mr. Edwin. As long as he wants to be taken care of, it's safe. His work is not much either. So I can relax, hehehe..”.
“But don't tell the general director yes brother, later my salary is cut again because many eat blind salary.” Melda whispered softly.
“No, I understand too. The work rhythm of each boss is different. Depends on how he manages his work. Scheming work is art, can not be generalized let alone with a different position.” Maureen commented wisely.
Not long after the waiter came to bring Melda food. His eyes were instantly round, all green.
“Yes, eat first. You can dry it cold because you are hungry.” Maureen brought tissue closer to Melda.
“Hehehe, yes Kak.” Melda smiled wryly. He started eating his food while occasionally checking his phone.
Some chatter was received from Edwin but he ignored it for a while. Meanwhile, Maureen was busy with her tablet. He doesn't like to talk when he eats. He wanted to appreciate Melda's time with his food so that the food was delicious.
“So what's wrong Maureen Sister met?” after eating Melda just spoke.
“Udah done eating?” Maureen put the tablet in the bag.
“Ya, already. Totally satisfied though. Thank you Maureen Brother for buying me.” Melda wiped her lips that were up to the straws.
“Sama-sama."
"By the way, you're not busy Mel?” suddenly Maureen asked seriously.
“Ngak is Brother. I'm relaxed now. All work is done too. This wa from the boss just ask for buyin cake for the big lady. Amaaann, can I buy it later in the afternoon. Make this malem really,” Melda explained.
Maureen nodded in understanding.
“I want to ask for help with you, can?”
“Bby dong, Brother want help what?” Melda was so excited.
Maureen smiled slightly and sent a photo to Melda.
“What button is this kak?” Melda scrunched her forehead not understanding.
“Tie or suit buttons like that. I'd like to ask you to check if the buttons are Mas Edwin's or not. Can?” Maureen stared fixedly at Melda.
Melda was silent for a moment, her face turned tense.
“I have to go into his room?” this time he looked scared.
Maureen nodded confidently.
“I can't.” Melda answered quickly.
Maureen looks calm. He sipped his tea elegantly and touched Melda's clenched hands.
“Mel, I know you have good ears and can listen to a lot of things from that workspace. Why don't you use your hands, your eyes, your feet and everything else on your body?”
Maureen's question was so profound it made Melda wary. It seems Melda is aware that Maureen knows a lot about her. About him who likes to eavesdrop on every conversation Edwin had with anyone.
“Sir Maureen threatened me?” the question is really full of questions.
“Ngak. Why do I threaten you. I'm asking for your help. I look threatening again huh?” Maureen asked back.
Melda did not answer, preferring to gulp her coffee to relieve her throat and relieve her shock.
“What do I get if I help Maureen?” melda asked.
Maureen took her hand off Melda and smiled faintly.
“Your freedom,” Maureen replied as she pulled Melda's collar to cover the reddish file around her neck.
Maureen believes Melda's sweat was not because this woman came in a hurry or because she was starving. It must be for a more terrible reason than that. Moreover, he had seen Edwin who harassed Melda by rubbing the woman's buttocks, or rubbing Melda's back senzual. One more reality Maureen had seen was, they had once walked into a hotel and booked a room. Just then Maureen clearly saw the face of Melda who was so frightened and nervous.
“You want me to free or you want to survive because you start enjoying it?” Maureen asked again.
Quickly Melda held Maureen's hand tightly and her head shook slowly. From his eyes he asked for a lot of help.
“Let me by phone, do not pass the message,” Maureen said in the end while wiping Melda's head with affection.
The woman simply nodded while trying to hold back her cries. Unknowingly, Maureen notices him and now wants to help him from all of Edwin's bullying. What harm would it do if then he helped Maureen to this one little thing, he thought.
Without Melda knowing, the button thing is not a small thing for a Maureen.
