Stepmom Cold Bed

Stepmom Cold Bed
Discernment

In his room, Maureen was still cleaning his body. His body felt so sticky because all day he worked outside. There is no AC but only strong winds from hot air.

The more days, the air in Jakarta is getting hotter. Using AC all day is not comfortable but even makes the body uncomfortable. Today, there was an unexpected incident. Sweat that comes out not only because of body heat due to air but because of the tension that occurs throughout the day.

After stripping off all her clothes, Maureen stood in front of the glass, noticing the shadow of her not wearing a single thread. He slightly sidestepped his body to look at his shoulder that had been hit by the rubble of material.

There was a bruise under his right armpit. The wound was due to the edge of the door that collapsed and hit his arm. Luckily, Byan pulled his hand, protecting Maureen with his body. Because otherwise, it could be that the wound on Maureen's arm is worse than this.

Hah, remembering the events throughout this day made Maureen's feelings erratic. Starting from the awkwardness between him and Byan, a sense of awe because Byan learned quickly, guilt for causing Byan hurt and currently worry because of the condition of Byan is not okay.

Until this afternoon Maureen's thoughts were filled about Byan. The rancid boy had already filled eighty percent of the memory in his brain. There were only about twenty percent he thought of other things including thinking of his actual self also being injured.

“This time relented Maureen, your condition is much better than your stepson.” Maureen muttered to comfort herself.

Okay, this time alone he thought of Byan more than he thought of himself. But not tomorrow and beyond. There are more important things he has to do than just take care of Byan. Do not let his guilt make Maureen stuck and ignore the important things he had to do

Aware of that, Maureen immediately took a bath, she flushed her body from head to toe. Every curve of his body he cleansed without anyone being missed. He did not manu leave the slightest sweat residue on his body.

After the shower, he got dressed. He wears a closed incandescent because he still has to check on his stepson. One brown colored pijama stel he wore and looks contrasted with his fresh white skin.

His wet hair he dry with a hair dryer then he combed neatly. Not completely dry because he wants his hair to dry naturally.

Maureen looked at the clock on the wall of her room. Only about twenty minutes he took care of himself and had to go back to Byan's room to check on his son's condition.

Byan's room door opened slightly and Maureen peeked at him before entering. Apparently there was a waiter who brought him a glass of water. Yes, Maureen forgot to provide drinking water near Byan.

“Bring a bottle of drinking water for young master, so that you do not need to go back and forth.” Maureen said as she opened the door wider.

“Good mistress.” The servant's word.

Byan looked at Maureen. “You've eaten?” ask Byan.

This day Maureen continued to take care of her, it was certain that this woman would ignore herself.

“Udah too late for dinner.” Maureen. He replied to the nod of the servant who was about to come out of Byan's room.

“You're not hungry?” Byan's curious.

“Later I got off. There are many fruits that I keep in the refrigerator.”

“What is the condition of your feet?” Maureen noticed Byan's legs still on the mantal.

“Starting to hurt. Maybe because the anesthetic effect has been reduced. Can I take pain medication?” Byan grimaced a little, the pain was not a wreath.

“Bby, but you have to eat first. Pain relief medications usually have side effects to the stomach, so make sure you fill your stomach first.”

“Good. Anyway I'm hungry.” I'm Byan with a small smile.

Without waiting for long, Maureen called one of the servants. “Bring dinner to young master and peel one apple for me.” Order Maureen in one short sentence.

Byan looked at the woman with great admiration. Every sentence Maureen said was always effective, nothing was excessive or lacking.

“Sit.” Pinta Byan when she saw Maureen who looked awkward.

“Are you not hurt in the least? I think the door hit your back, too.” Byan looked at Maureen worriedly.

“No, I'm not hurt. My body is fine.” Kill Maureen. Of course he was fine because he had already applied anti-bruise medication pain reliever ointment on his bruise.

“Good, it's better.” Byan breathed a sigh of relief. He was very worried that Maureen was hurt.

The silence of Byan, made the awkwardness reappear. I don't know what to talk about now.

About work? Both are fed up.

Then about personal? Akh Maureen was avoiding him.

Byan turns on the television and only the ball shows appear, which Maureen might like. Everything is so awkward now. But there was indeed one thing that Byan had to talk to his stepmother.

“I'm sorry about yesterday.” Said Byan suddenly. He looked at Maureen seriously.

“Apologies for what?” Maureen pretended not to understand. He did not want to guess the purpose of Byan which resulted in the more awkward their relationship.

“About what I said I like you.” Byan quickly.

Maureen's brain was like a blue screen for a while, unable to think. Is Byan going to talk about their feelings again?

“You're right, I do have to like you as my stepmother as well as my co-worker. Sorry if yesterday my words of origin and made us awkward.”

This Byan sentence made Maureen look at him clueless.

“I mean, I used my words to say that I like you as a woman. Apparently yesterday I was stupid because I was not aware of our position and I feel you recognize too many things in me well.”

“After I thought, you were right to recognize me and treat me well because it is your duty. I failed to understand what your personal mission was and what your professional mission was. I misunderstood my own thoughts and feelings. I'm sorry.” Byan made his words clear.

Maureen smiled slightly. “So that's what you think now?” Maureen had a little relief in her chest.

Byan nodded with certainty.

“Ya, great. Apparently I don't need to remind you that I treat you like a king, not because I'm a woman who tries to be kind and captivate men. But I treat you as king, because your current position is indeed king in Anggoro corp.”

“Yes I understand that. I'm sorry that I've been bouncing all day yesterday. I made our circumstances awkward when it should be our best condition to make us open to each other about the point of view of work.”

“Good if you understand.” Resolute Maureen with a smile expanded.

Byan smiled as it seemed he had managed to shake off his awkwardness with Maureen. Even without Maureen knowing, there are different feelings that Byan felt in his stepmother. Let's just say a Maureen has dazzled his eyesight. But he needs more than that to believe his own feelings. At the very least, he had to know Maureen personally more than he now knew.

“I want to thank you for today. Thank you for saving me. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't protected me. Sorry I hurt you.” Maureen said regretfully. Byan could see the guilt in Maureen's eyes.

“Cause. You said I was king of the Anggoro corp, so I should have protected my people. Aye right?” byan said convincingly.

“Iya,” Maureen smiled in relief, apparently Byan's thoughts began to be enlightened.

Where is this waiter, why so long?
