Chapter 12

Alex looked at him for a moment at Kanaya's refusal. All this time he could have any woman he wanted, no one had ever turned him down. Kanaya. 

Alex immediately went into the bathroom, to flutter his body that had been hot cold made by the woman who did not want to take responsibility.

Kanaya is sitting on the bed, when Alex comes out of the bathroom, she feels guilty for what happened. He shouldn't have acted like that, he helped himself. He must apologize and explain to her that he was afraid of her feelings if he did so earlier. 

He did not want to suffer a broken heart a second time.

"Alex," call Kanaya. 

Kanaya looked at Alex who was now wearing her clothes. 

"I need to talk to you" Kanaya said again as Alex remained unresponsive to her call.

"Alex, please listen to me. I'm sorry, okay?" kanaya Pinta.

"You don't need to apologize," Alex replied coldly as he picked up the car keys and left the room.

Kanaya paced around with a feeling of uneasiness, why didn't she listen to him? Anyway when he comes back, his anger must have lessened and he has to listen to her explanation.

The next day, Kanaya was at the dinner table to fill her stomach which she had not filled since yesterday afternoon. As he was busy enjoying his meal, his in-laws suddenly came in and sat down to join in. 

Kanaya glances at him, but he doesn't say anything to her because Alex hasn't been back since last night. He was also confused where he went.

"Have you seen the magazine this morning?" Lady Mary asked.

"I have no interest in reading newspapers or magazines" Kanaya replied briefly.

"Oh, I think you must be interested" said Madam Maria. 

Mistress Maria all put the magazine that just came out yesterday on the table. Definitely by showing Alex with Zuna kissing.

Kanaya who saw the picture of her husband was kissing a woman who did not show her female face. Other images showed Alex hugging and the hand of the woman wearing the same outfit clad around her husband's neck.

Instantly his chest felt very tight. He was confused as to why he was a little disappointed.

"He who?" lirih Kanaya was unconscious.

"She was Alex's first love, they were also engaged before. It seems they have improved again" said the Lady Mary happily explaining it to Kanaya. He smiled triumphantly too. 

Kanaya, who could no longer bear to hear the explanation from her mother-in-law, stood up and went to her room. He is also confused by his current heart, he is in love with Alex or maybe he is just sad because he remembers the betrayal of Doni and his best friend.

Alex was distracted by the sound of his phone vibration. He rushed to get up, but his head was throbbing violently. Maybe the effect of a night of drinking too much.

"Yes, Jake, what's wrong?" ask Alex.

"Mr Alex, I want to tell you, ", Jake said stammeringly.

Alex frowned and thought what his papa's right hand would say. He quickly leaned on his bed.

"Speak Jake, what's wrong?" the impatient Pinta Alex will hear what it is.

"Master, have you seen the magazine or news this morning?" said Jake.

Alex frowned, he just woke up. Obviously, he had not read the news.

"No Jake, what's going on?" 

"Master, I think you need to take a look at it, I think it might affect your appointment with the Big Master's business associate" Jake said.

Alex quickly hung up his phone. He rushes to search in his smart device to see the latest news.

"Old Love is back." Alex read it by paying attention to the picture that is clearly displayed on the front page. Now that his hands were clenched, he felt that someone was trapping him.

 "It's because the news is all going to be off, don't joke" Alex said.

"But Mr. Alex, they're asking you to postpone this meeting" Jake replied.

Alex took a deep breath and spoke, "I'm not canceling, if you want to keep working with me."

After talking Alex hang up the phone, his meeting will not be canceled for any reason, let alone for the cheap gossip news. 

He rushes to get ready to go to the meeting place that had been scheduled yesterday, hoping that what Jake says is not true.  

In a different place, Kanaya was pacing around in the room, perhaps this was why she never spent the night at home.

Kanaya who was feeling tired, she rubbed her eyes slightly damp from crying. Now he is tired of always being in the room, he needs to do something. As he stood up, he heard someone knocking on his door.

"Sary, yo come in!" take Kanaya to feel very. "Sary, is there anything I can help you with, I'm bored here?" Kanaya.

Sary's eyes widened, "You're the young master's wife, you can't do anything. What do you want to do, I'll do it for you?"

Kanaya shook her head.

"No, Sary, I feel so bored, I just want to get busy, to keep my mind off some events," Kanaya said, lowering her face down.

Sary looked at Kanaya, she felt sympathy for her master's wife.

 "I know what you're thinking. You take it easy, it's not true" Sary said.

Kanaya looked at him, "What do you mean?" 

"I mean, that woman hurt the young master in the past, I'm sure the young man will also be loyal to you. You are a beautiful and kind wife, different from her, who is cunning and evil" Sary explained.

Kanaya smiled faintly, "I know you spoke like this just now to comfort me so as not to be sad. But that picture can't lie, can it?" 

"There must be a misunderstanding" said Sary. "Then I say goodbye to doing my job again, I don't want grandma to get angry again" he added, and Kanaya nodded.

"Your young master is free to do what he wants, he doesn't owe me any explanation" Kanaya said, trying to convince herself with those words while looking at Sary's missing back behind her door.

To relieve her boredom, she went out of her room to take a walk around the luxurious mansion of her husband's family.

As he was walking along the corridor, he accidentally heard a moaning coming from inside the room. He finally followed the sound and entered the room. 

He knocked on the door repeatedly, but there was no response. He finally came in, and both of his neutrals led to a man lying in bed and a nurse trying to feed him.

"This must be Alex's papa," inward Kanaya. He approached to get to know his father-in-law who he would consider his own father later.

"How are you?" ask Kanaya.

The shocked nurse almost dropped the plate containing the food from seeing Kanaya in the room.

"The news ..." His words were cut off by Mistress Mary who suddenly entered.

"Why do you dare to go into my room," hardened Mistress Mary who did not like anyone to enter her room without her permission.

 "Ak ... I just ...," Canaya's unfinished speech was also cut off by Mistress Mary.

 "Save your explanation for another day, please leave," exiled Mistress Maria.

"But …." Kanaya.

 "I said go!" shouted Madam Maria.

Kanaya is only able to turn around and come out, she must remember that she is a newcomer.

"Don't forget to close the door! Once again you must know your limits here," said Mrs Maria.

Kanaya ran out of the house, why was Mistress Maria so angry. Though he went inside just wanted to see how Mr. Damar was doing.
