"Later you'll know" Stefan replied.
Kanaya nodded.
Stefan got down, walked to his side and opened Kanaya's door. The two of them walk to the hospital, though, Kanaya has no idea why Stefan brought her here.
They walked into a room and a weak-looking woman looked up as the door smiled as she looked at Stefan.
"Stefan, is that you?" the woman's voice trembled as she tried to sit down and she coughed.
Stefan walked up to her and immediately replied, "Yes, ma'am, please lie down."
Stefan held onto his shoulder to stop him from sitting back down.
The old woman glanced at Kanaya and asked, "Have you brought your girlfriend? She's beautiful."
Kanaya blushed at the words of her mother Stefan's praise.
Stefan quickly corrected his mother's words so as not to misunderstand.
"No mom, not a girlfriend but she's a friend and she's married" Stefan explained.
"It's a pity that he's married, you two look perfect" Stefan's mom said.
"I brought her here so that she could see other faces besides mine" Stefan chuckled.
Kanaya sat by his bedside and glanced at Stefan, "What's wrong with him?"
His face looked sad as he replied, "Cancer." Stefan took a deep breath before adding his words, "Last stage."
Kanaya fell silent, she felt sympathy for Stefan.
Kanaya could not hold back her tears, she continued to look at him with a worried look.
"Don't worry about him okay, Stefan's a good person, he's a lot of friends around him," Kanaya who saw that, she tried to calm him down and convince him. "Surely, I will recover soon" Kanaya said.
They talked long enough, and eventually Stefan's mother fell asleep. Kanaya and Stefan immediately left the room.
"Thank you for coming with me" said Stefan, standing facing Kanaya in his hand.
Realizing that Kanaya was making him feel uncomfortable, he quickly pulled her hand from Kanaya's.
"I'm glad you feel better, please take me back," asked Kanaya who did not want to make her husband angry again.
Stefan got into the car and he got in next to him.
"I'm sorry, don't be upset by what happened today, yeah," Stefan said.
Kanaya. He thought about what he would explain to Alex after he got home.
"I got carried away, I saw my mother smiling today, ever since she got sick! Hardly seeing a smile on his face," Stefan obviously looked at Kanaya and smiled sadly.
"Thank you and sorry for dragging you all the way here, I just want her to feel happy for the rest of her life, I'm gonna have to take you home soon" Stefan said.
"This should be the last time we met, I promised my husband I'd stay away from you, I did what I had to do because I owed you, now we're even," obviously Kanaya who has thought about this word maturely.
Stefan smiled sadly, “It's okay, I understand. Your husband doesn't like me and a wife has to obey and please her husband doesn't she?"
Kanaya did not respond.
Stefan who drove her home saw her enter into a cold smile on Stefan's face, her job was done. He pulled out his device
