"Please Alex, I want to talk to you" Kanaya said, staring at Alex. His gaze begged Alex to listen to him, but Alex just passed him by.
"I have important business."
"Please Alex, wait a minute!" pinta Kanaya runs after Alex.
Alex who saw Kanaya chasing him turned around, "I don't have time even if it's just for a moment."
"I beg you, Alex," asked Kanaya.
After silence.
"I'll have time but …." Alex paused his words and looked towards Kanaya who now seemed to be beaming happily listening to his words. “After you sign our divorce papers," Alex continued.
Kanaya felt as if she had been lifted high and thrown to the ground. He staggered, losing his balance. He looked at Alex and asked, hoping that what he had just heard was wrong, "what?"
"I'll send you a divorce papers quickly, and sign them immediately" Alex said. "Maybe after that I have some free time" Alex said.
"I'm not signing divorce papers." Kanaya whispered right in Alex's ear. Then he walked back and paused for a moment, he thought he was going to approach her but he said nothing as he walked out the door.
Kanaya was sitting in her room in the servant's room rather. He was depressed, Alex wanted to divorce him, he couldn't seem to think about anything else. He won't sign the divorce papers, he won't go, so, he has to do something to prove his innocence.
A knock was heard at the door and he saw Sari coming in.
Sari looked at Kanaya with sympathy. He walked over and he sat on the bed near Kanaya, "You haven't eaten since, you have to fill your stomach."
"But you have to eat something, Mr. Alex is just angry with you, tomorrow is not anymore either" Sary assured Kanaya.
Kanaya sneered at his words, "It's not that easy. He was angry and wanted us to get a divorce, and when I didn't, I was accused and slandered" Kanaya said. He needed someone to believe him now. "Do you think I'm doing something like that?" ask Kanaya.
Sary's gaze was indistinct while shrugging both of her shoulders. He had only known Kanaya, so he did not know for sure how the woman who was now in front of him.
"It doesn't matter whether it's right or wrong, you can't blame master for being angry at you, he saw you and the man in bed. The news is everywhere in the paper, I'm sure it will affect his business as well" Sary explained.
Kanaya felt pain in her heart, the last thing she wanted was for Alex to have a hard time because of her, she shook her head, "I know she was angry considering she warned me to stay away from Stefan, but trust me. I, I don't know how late I got in bed with him."
Sary touched her hand sympathetically, "Give time, everything will be revealed. You have to eat and take care of your health to find evidence that you're innocent."
"But she wants a divorce soon." Kanaya whispered now tears were flowing down her cheeks.
Sary quickly hugged him.
"Don't think about it" Sary said. He took off his embrace and wiped Kanaya's tears with his palm. "I'm going to the kitchen to get something to eat," continued Sary standing up quickly to go to the kitchen.
Kanaya was still thinking about what to do when she heard the screams, her head jolted. He quickly stood up and followed the commotion into the kitchen, Mariana cursing at Sary, a plate of food thrown to the floor.
"So, you think you're still a mistress so you have the guts to send servants to serve you," said Mariana, turning on Kanaya, who now stands a short distance away. "I remind you that you are now nothing more than a slave in this house?"
