As soon as they started entering the dungeon, the atmosphere of life of the previous few moments began to vanish. 

As they went down the stairs, the cold pierced their necks. All the disciples were filled with trembling and curiosity seeing how impressive the long staircase that was facing down below was only darkness.

When they got to the bottom, they saw a light that formed a blackhole-like ring. It turned out to be a portal that connected the floor with the other floors in the labyrinth.

The twelve disciples lined up at the back, looking to the left right while holding their weapons, following Leader Karlstahl like a chick trailing its mother.

The more they went deeper into it, the more suffocating the atmosphere felt than before. The air feels damp and feels cold.

After several hours had passed, they had passed the 1st floor and 10th floor without any attacks by monsters.

Please note, the purpose of Karlstahl invites students to explore this dungeon is to mentally train the students to be ready to fight at any time, then increase their level by killing as many monsters as possible.

However, so far no monsters had attacked them. This made the disciples feel better, they thought that the dungeon was nothing.

After passing through the portal. They're on the 15th floor. The floor where all the adventurers could rest in peace from the monster attack.

"We'll rest here."

"Eh? But.." Amanogawa was worried, and so were the other students. Perhaps the reason for that was because he felt the atmosphere around him was uncomfortable to rest there.

"Right now, monsters would never appear. By and large, monsters had sense, so they would not attack humans just like that. They will coordinate and carry out attacks in large groups. 

The floor that separates the talented, skilled adventurers from the amateur adventurers.

Then, as Leader Karlstahl stopped turning his body 180 degrees and spoke while looking at the disciple, their previous calmness suddenly dissipated.

Unconsciously these disciples gulped their own saliva upon hearing those words. 

Though invisible, it seems that Karlstahl made a mistake that he was not even aware of. He told the children to rest, but he did not allow his mouth not to talk which made the children feel anxious and worried. 

However, perhaps Karlstahl spoke like that for some reason. 

Then Amanogawa volunteered to be in the front row and thought about protecting his friends. In fact, people had no idea what he was planning for a day like this.

"Then, leader Karlstahl, let me be at the forefront. Please, the others back off, you're assigned to protect us, right? So let me fight."

Karlsathl stared intensely at Amanogawa through his eyes. He might have been able to trust Amanogawa for this, but, still, this was their first experience exploring the dungeon. Their opponents were monsters more terrifying than humans, or perhaps the other way around.

Then Karlstahl nodded in agreement.

"All right, I trust you."

However, Rin, biting her lips and lowered her shoulders and said in a subtle voice, then shouted. Showing that Rin rejected all of that.

"I. refuse. I can't let Jun be in the front row! Did you intentionally let Jun die!?"

Nene who was next to him was shocked and confused.

"Rin, calm down…"

A silent atmosphere was created when Rin was out of breath to speak. No one can dispute his words, it is true. Besides this being their first experience exploring the dungeon, they were also guests from another world. They don't know anything about the world of Axiys yet.

Then, without realizing it himself, Shin opened his mouth to speak at length.

"I agree with him," said Shin. "Although, Amanogawa-kun has strong strength, he can't possibly fight alone. I would never let him fight alone, everyone would think so, right? So, even though I know it is useless in battle, at least I want to fight in my own way."

Amanogawa turned around with her eyes wide open. However, there were only people who tried to deny Shin's words.

"—Hah!? What are you saying, the useless one?!" It seems that the one who denies Shin's words is Orihara. "If it's Amanogawa's decision, there's nothing to worry about! Don't you think.. guys?"

This time, Shin played a big role for his friends because he carried quite a heavy load on his back, it was a large bag of food supplies as well as water. So, calling Shin useless might be a big mistake.

Ryunosuke. 

"Kiriga is right. I can't let the class president fight alone either."

"Pulse. This time, I agree with him." Nazuna continued, the only girl who excelled at using Magic Art or Sorcery Art.

"Everything.." Amanogawa nodded. "It's my fault, I'm sorry for deciding something selfish. This time, I will follow your words. Actually, I'm not sure I can fight on my own either. So, let's fight together." Amanogawa smiled, fake.

"Kiriga." call Leader Karlstahl. "Just put down all the food and water supplies."

Kiriga looked surprised.

"Ah, that. I forgot to say it." Karlstahl folded both his hands. "Do you remember our main purpose for exploring this labyrinth?"

"Yes...if it's not wrong, practice is possible?"

"You're right. Today's practice will end as soon as we clear the twentieth floor, so I want you to fill up and rest more. Because.next we can't dodge the battle."

Shin nodded.

"I understand."

Until then, Shin did little to do anything, spending his time walking behind carrying supplies. It was indeed sad, instead he felt very relieved after taking off that burden.

While resting for a moment, when Shin was sipping water, he unintentionally glanced and his eyes met with Nene. He smiled gently at her and waved his hand. 

Suddenly Shin misbehaved and spouted all the water in his mouth out and coughed because his nose was blocked by the water.

W-what did you just do Shirasaki-san!

Then Shin threw his face away, feeling embarrassed that he realized that Nene had been watching him the whole time. Nene pouted slightly as she watched Shin turn away from her.

Rin had a small chuckle when he saw the exchange of views from the corner of his eyes between his best friend and the person he hated the most. However, Rin actually strongly supports Nene in this and speaks quietly.

"Nens, why do you keep staring at Shin like that? I wonder why he followed along as well." said Rin in a teasing tone. Naturally, it made Nene blush, and silenced Rin's mouth angrily.

"Ish.. Come on, Rin! Can you please don't tease me like that again! I just want to know if Kiriga-kun is okay!"

Nens can't be honest with himself, huh... Whereas, back then you left me from the room and you tried to take her that night, didn't you?

However, Rin does not want to make her best friend more troubled and sulking, she decides to keep quiet. Even so, Rin could not hide the look of excitement on her face.

As Nene looked at Rin's expression by puffing her cheeks pout.

"Duh. geez."

The two laughed as if forgetting their fears a moment ago.

Shin had observed what they were doing. The sight made her comfortable around him. 

On a different side, Shin felt a person's gaze on him and straightened his body reflexively. He had gotten used to it, getting such hateful gazes from his classmates, but this was as in different matters or perhaps his level of hatred was the same thing but different. 

Because Shin was among the most ostracized typical people in the class, so he knew very well how kind of hatred he had been feeling all along. At first, this gaze did indeed come from Orihara who often intimidated her at all times, yet this was a different person…

...…but, if not Orihara, who else?...

It was not the first time he had felt this look. He had sensed it several times since before he was summoned to this world, but every time he tried to find out who did it, all of it seemed to vanish. Shin was getting bored of it.

What the hell is going on…? Did I do something to someone? Orihara... No, then what is this? If it's not wrong, all I've done is try my best regardless of my incompetence? Or something from it…

As Shin thought about it it was enough to make him feel goosebumps. 

"Haaah.." Shin sighed deeply. He began to think there might be some who noticed him when he exchanged glances with Shirasaki. More like a warning.

A little while after that, Amanogawa approached him and asked him about his situation. 

"Kiriga-kun, what's wrong?"

"Ah, Amanogawa-kun, it's just that I felt that there were some things bothering me from earlier, but I'm fine."

"Good, "Amanogawa at first glance is like grinning.  

"By the way, Kiriga-kun has something I want to talk to you about."

Shin glanced at Amanogawa.

"Whatis that? Just say it."

Amanogawa walked over with a serious face and sat down beside Shin, clasping his hands.

"Have you ever thought about going back?"

"Y-well, honestly if I can hope, I want to get back to the world we came from."

"So, yeah, everyone thinks that way, but I think the opposite. As the class leader, I should be able to make a decision. In any case, I will definitely bring you to our home world. Although..must be criminals, at least I'll send you back without me."

"Don't carry it all alone, Amanogawa-kun. We're all on your side, no matter what happens, we'll all be back. So, trust me."
