The sound of water dripping into his ears. A cold wind blew past his cheeks, and his entire body shivered in the water. Shin groaned softly as he opened his eyes.

The upper part of his body was lying on top of a large rock that jutted out from the river bank.

"Guk!"

Shin coughed as his nose was blocked by the water.

He steadied his head with one hand, then tried to recall how he ended up in that position.

The surroundings were relatively dark, but thanks to the scattered blue crystals, the color was not pitch-black but rather sparkling. He looked back and saw a five-meter-high lake, and realized that he was still half submerged. 

A stroke of luck had saved him from his death falling towards a Tera lake.

Then, Shin tried to rise to the surface of the lake and lift Rin's body, then put it on the ground in a downcast manner.

After saying that. Rin looked straight at Shin with sharp eyes.

The monster growled as if it had seen its two immobile prey.
