On the other hand, Ayuzawa was dueling a real sword with Captain Karlstahl.

Both of their swords banged violently producing a clattering sound every second. An ordinary person would probably not be able to see how Ayuzawa attacked so quickly with her katana.

Although Captain Karlstahl's movements were slower than Ayuzawa's, Karlstahl was able to survive without being scratched. Every movement of Ayuzawa seems almost read by Karlstahl.

Karlstahl commented while resisting Ayuzawa's attack.

"Your movement is fast, but it's easy to read." His comments. "A brutal attack without such a strategy will never win against the enemy!" Karlstahl.

Recalling that Leader Karlstahl was a leader of the Nycto Military Forces. That meant that he was not an indiscriminate person that anyone in the kingdom could underestimate.

He's very strong. Even the people in the kingdom no one could touch him when dueling swords. Because he had a nickname in his youth as a 'Sky Knight'.

The sword he used was different from the others. That masculine face as well as his large, muscular body was probably enough to depict his sword, which was called the Time-Penetrating Sword.

The Time Penetrating Sword was a slightly blackened dark gray-colored greatsword that had been meticulously polished, although there were some boundless, faint scratch marks left throughout its length, glitters in the illumination. It showed that his sword was already experienced in battle.

"Then, I will exert all the strength I have!" Ayuzawa.

Ayuzawa thrust her silver katana forward. And Ayuzawa silently measured the distance of five meters between them as they faced each other.

A fierce flash of lightning underlined that their battle had begun.

"Hhhh!!"

The resulting slash was so fast that it could not be seen by an ordinary human eye, and split the air within 0.4 seconds.

With an abnormal speed, Ayuzawa had increased the distance to create a situation for their two sword eyes to rub against each other.

He withholds.

"It's amazing" said Karlstahl. He let out a word of admiration like a natural.

His blue eyes were on Ayuzawa. An instant! They just stared at each other.

“Allow me to show the true sword ability.” said Karlstahl, with that, he restored the starting position. This is the distance of his choice.

            "Prepare yourself."

At the same time, Ayuzawa stepped forward and suddenly stopped.

"Thanks?!" Ayuzawa screamed in confusion.

For some reason, Karlstahl seemed farther away than ever.

Did he misjudge the distance between them?

It was his first thought but he knew he didn't. Still, it seemed like the distance between them was getting wider.

Whatever the cause of the confusion then it must have stopped him. He's trying to start over. He rearranged his emotions then readied his sword and performed a simple trick.

"A—what?!"

Ayuzawa swallowed her saliva deeply, once again she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

He leaned back as if avoiding something and then jumped back.

He saw the sword. He saw his sword. Karlstahl cut his neck. However, Karlstahl's real sword did not move an inch from his position and of course, his neck was still stuck to his shoulder.

“Why?”

As he advanced, he saw his sword and the power hiding within it cut off both of his hands.

He thought he would read it like a book and he would see his own defeat! No, death. However, Karlstahl still stands on

sana. The sword is not even ready. It was as if it was all an illusion.

He could not understand what had just happened.
