"How's it?" Catalina asked after more than half an hour of waiting for Nick in the car. Bored, all the time, he saw Russian economic news. And yes, he found something quite interesting about some of the big companies there.
Nick hooked his seatbelt. "Everything went well. And in three days, the cast and crew will gather for an introduction" he replied. "You should come too, Catalina. You're the second female lead. Although not the female lead, your role is very important in this series." The series that Catalina will play tells the story of the destruction of a family carried out by the second female actor for revenge. The second female lead's parents died because of the male lead's mother. And yes, Catalina played that role. She must be a normal teenage girl, but has a terrible personality that no one else knows about.
It was indeed in keeping with Catalina's true character. Cruel and heartless. No wonder the girl was able to convince the producer, the director, as well as her old friend who was the scriptwriter. It turned out to be his daily meal.
Catalina nodded. "Alright," he said. "Give me information about the cast and crew. I need information about them." Who knew that among the cast or crew, someone recognized him? If he doesn't know anything about them, they can suspect he's not Tatiana.
"I'll give it to you tomorrow" Nick said. "Remember, you have to change your attitude a little so as not to be hostile to anyone." The entertainment industry, a complicated and sometimes terrible place. A lot of things happen and some people are devastated by offending people who should not be offended.
It's not that Nick can't solve that little thing. He was just too lazy to do it. That's why he doesn't want Catalina to throw tantrums because he's reluctant to take care of it.
"I know." Catalina started the engine of her car and drove it slowly. After converging with the flow of cars on the highway, it uses medium speed. "After all, when am I not keeping my attitude? I'm quite self-conscious. I'm just a little actress, how dare I offend people?" Dealing with Sehan alone has made him dizzy. It is impossible to offend people anymore and add to the enemy. Perhaps, she failed to become an actress and must be a slave Sehan for life.
Imagining life under Sehan's feet in his shackles, to hell with a super big salary, who would want to work for such a person? If it was him, he would prefer to return to Valdes and live out his days in trouble.
"Whatever you say," Nick refused to speak again. Catalina is the most shameless girl he has ever known. In addition to never admitting the mistakes he did, by not knowing the shame he blamed others to justify himself.
It was silent for a while until Catalina's voice broke the silence. "Nick," call him.
"mm?"
"Male lead, not someone I know, right?" The one Catalina was afraid of, it was Lexus. He hated dealing with people from the Geffrey family. Given how Sehan threatened her to stay away from Lexus, her intentions were clear. He should not play a role with the Geffrey family man.
I don't know what the reason is.
Either because Tatiana is a drug addict or because Sehan doesn't want Lexus to hook up with his own fiancee, I don't know. Things like that, only Sehan knows.
Nick shut up for a second. "It should be, no" he answered.
Catalina tilted her head slightly. "You sound unsure?"
"I'm not unsure. I just don't know who he is" he explained.
Catalina was a little confused. "Say, why don't you know?"
"Because the male lead is still a secret."
"Oh." Catalina forms the letter O with her lips.
"It's said he's a great famous actor" Nick added.
Catalina. "Great famous actor?" Whoever he is, as long as he's not a guy from the Geffrey family, that's okay. He doesn't mind even if he's as thick as Nick.
"Yes." Yeah." Nick nodded. "You have to prepare yourself well, " he said. "I mean if the male lead is that great and famous, you can learn a lot from him."
The situation is back in silence.
Catalina's busy with her drive. As the car stopped at a red light, something important suddenly flashed through his mind. "Nick's." He called Nick again.
"Md. What else?"
"Em.. does Tatiana use illegal drugs of her own volition? Or.. Has anyone else forced her?" If Tatiana wears it of her own free will, fine then. It's not allowing. Using such drugs is clearly prohibited, no matter what the reason. He just thought, at least he did not have to bother looking for who did it.
But if Tatiana uses it because of someone else's insistence, if Nick suspects Sehan of Tatiana's accident, Nick should also suspect others for his addiction to drugs.
People like Sehan, Catalina believes Sehan can do more than just cram drugs into Tatiana. However, on one hand, he was not sure the man was doing such a thing. Rather than using dirty ways, usually people like Sehan prefer sneaky ways.
And by finishing him off, everything was sorted out with just one touch. There is no need to bother using ineffective ways that will only give long-term effects especially if it is up to years.
After all for a businessman, such things are less efficient because they take a lot of time. They like something instant. So rather than giving him drugs, it was better to directly finish him off.
The point is, it wasn't Sehan. There must have been someone else who did it if Tatiana took the drugs due to the insistence of others. But, if not Sehan, then who? Could it be Tatiana's adoptive parents?
Nick jerks. He remained silent for a while before finally answering. "Eitherway. I'm not sure. He just said he had to use it. He didn't say any reason. And it started about two years ago, when he was eighteen." Nick remembered it well at that time he knew it from the results of Tatiana's blood test. The results proved that the girl was positive for using illegal drugs.
After suppressing it for a long time, Tatiana admitted that she used it. When he asked what the reason was, he simply replied that he should use it. And when he asked who told him to use it, he said he did it of his own free will, no one asked for it or forced it.
Catalina rolled her eyeballs. Two years is a long time. There were about seven hundred and thirty days. And all that time, what did Nick do? Why did he do nothing to stop it?
Knowing what Catalina was thinking, Nick hurriedly explained. "Don't ask me why I didn't stop him" he said. "I've done it. But since the desire to stop didn't come from himself, I couldn't do anything. I can only help her cover that secret." Not that he wasn't trying. He has made several attempts at healing. Like inviting a doctor and some people who are experts in rehabilitation. But apparently, that's still not enough. The end of the story, guessed. Tatiana failed. Failed total.
Catalina took a long breath. Such drugs are opium, making users difficult to stop because of the desire to consume constantly. If a person has no desire to stop, unless the police come to pick him up, he will never stop. It's so hard to get away from things like that. No wonder Nick failed to get Tatiana back on the right track. Because it's that hard.
Although Catalina had never dealt with such things, she read about them in several articles. Especially since knowing his twin sister became a user, he more and more often find out. And it really has no benefit at all, which there is only a disadvantage. In addition to its high price, its use is also prohibited. That's why he prefers cigarettes over things that break the law.
Moments later, Catalina deflects her car to the hospital and stops it at its usual spot in a hidden corner. After wearing a mask, sunglasses, hat, and jacket, he and Nick immediately got out of the car and went to the room where Tatiana was in care.
As usual, the girl lay helplessly on the bed. Only loyal medical equipment accompanied around him for twenty-four hours nonstop.
His calm face showed how well he slept. It was as if anything could not wake him from his long sleep.
I don't know what he's dreaming. Whether it's something beautiful or something bad. But seeing how he expressed himself, maybe the dream was so beautiful that the girl had no desire to wake up.
Catalina smiled slightly as she looked at her face. Then he rubbed it slowly and whispered in his ear. "Tatiana, how are you today? I know you're fine" he chanted in a low voice. "You know, giving up is easy. But, it's not worth it to you. You're the one who never gives up. I believe you can get through this. I believe you can do it." He ended his words and planted a small kiss on his forehead. "I love you, Tatiana. Hugely. So, get up and hug me."
Finished saying a few words, Catalina sat for a while on the sofa and stared at the beautiful figure who was still faithfully closing her eyes. Keeping an eye on Tatiana from a very close distance, was the best way to charge whenever she was exhausted. Just by looking at it and letting some emotions accumulate, he could go through his days vigorously without the slightest bit of complaint.
