The Dark Secret of the Actress

The Dark Secret of the Actress
Chapter 89 RGSA - The Doer Behind It

The sky turned dark.

The bright remains were snatched away completely by night.

Catalina walked towards the window with a glass in her hand. He opened his window wide and saw the beautiful night sky. Not forgetting he took a sip of water in his glass and started thinking about something.

The news of the accident that happened to him is unknown to anyone. Even the crew and cast who starred in the same series, no one knew.

They only knew a car was falling into a ravine while the driver and one passenger were fine. They don't know that the driver is Stacey and the passenger is her.

Whether it was Nick or Sehan, Catalina did not know and she was also reluctant to think about it. It's good if they don't know. At least, the incident would not cause an uproar. Besides, he's fine. He's not dead, nor is he in a coma like Tatiana. He is still alive and yes, he has many opportunities in the future to find out the truth.

Although he had honestly thought of the one most likely possibility that could happen, yet it was only in his mind. The perpetrator of the accident, the unlucky fellow who had already targeted him, ah shit, how dare he have any thoughts of eliminating it? Did he not know he had nine lives?

Absorbed into her mind, Catalina failed to notice someone's arrival.

"Hi, what are you doing there?" Nick, who has full access to the condo, walks in without pressing the bell. He walked over to Catalina and raised his eyebrows when he saw the wine glass in her hand filled with water. "Did you lose your sanity in that accident? No. gabe. I mean, you're not crazy, are you?"

Catalina jerks. He looked up and saw Nick standing to his right. That man, he hasn't seen him for long. But yes, the man is still the same. Still sucks.

"I've been crazy for a long time" Catalina replied.

"Then?"

Catalina showed her wine glass proudly. "To look cool" he answered.

Nick rolled his eyeballs. "Is that important? You're home and alone. No one's looking at you." Without holding a glass, it is okay. That won't make it uncool because no one will see it.

"You don't know how the movie portrays the power of alcohol? They are so cool just by holding the glass. Who cares about the contents? Who cares if anyone sees it or not? The glass is enough to give chemistry." And Catalina is obsessed with looking cool no matter if she is alone or not. If not alone, with whom? He has no one but a few annoying guys who just make the mood worse.

"But you can't use real wine because of the drugs?"

Catalina snapped her finger. "Frightly so."

Nick lost all his words. To hell with water or wine. The girl's getting crazy. "I didn't know I should call you stupid or retarded" he said later, replacing the words 'crazy' with 'stupid' and 'backward'.

Catalina shrugged her shoulders. "You can call me both if you want." He doesn't mind being called stupid or retarded. Just a name, to him it doesn't really matter.

The situation became silent for a while until Catalina's voice broke the silence. "So?" And his voice entered serious mode. Really serious. His expression was just as serious.

Knowing what Catalina meant, Nick replied, "As it has been, they are unreliable." 'They' by which Nick is referring are the officers in charge of reviewing and deepening the accident case.

But just because there are frequent accidents in the area, they consider the case that happened to Catalina as the same case.

Catalina was not surprised by Nick's reply. As you might expect, this won't be easy. But Catalina is not the name if you give up just like that. He will catch the culprit and punish him in his own way.

"Then what did they say?" ask Catalina then.

"Delivery, negligence."

"What about Stacey?"

"I've sent Stacey overseas to do other work. You don't have to worry." Because it was too risky for him to stay here, Nick sent Stacey abroad to do another mission, as well as to heal the broken in his hand.

"Goodoo. At least he won't get in trouble." Stacey's just a guy who happened to pass by. I mean, the girl had nothing to do with him. The target is it. If the girl gets into trouble just for replacing Nick as her manager, it's outrageous.

"Yes. I think so too."

"Faulty brakes, smashed cars, Stacey's fingerprints, your fingerprints, and other than that they didn't find anything" Nick replied.

Catalina frowned. "That's all?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"You're serious?"

Nick nodded. "Totally serious."

Catalina chuckles. "What is true? Are they kidding?"

"Everything they say, right. At least they think so." It's not once or twice that this kind of thing happens. When his sister died, despite numerous injuries all over his body, they settled and closed the case as a case of accident. Then next up is Tatiana and now Catalina. All those cases, somehow motive, they're going to close it as the same case. That's why he never expected more from the authorities. Because he doesn't trust them and they can't be trusted.

"Damn," Catalina swore. He knows that anywhere, in any country, there are dishonest people. But it feels very painful when he needs justice, but the party who has received bribes gives different results. Far from what was expected.

Recalling something, Catalina asked, "What about the surveillance cameras?" The brakes that were suddenly broken when they came were all fine, wasn't that too strange? Did they not think of such a thing? At least if there's surveillance footage, they have something to defend.

"There's no such thing on the mountain." Even on the highway, surveillance cameras are only placed at certain points. Especially on the mountain? Don't expect that kind of luxury.

"You're right. Even if there was evidence, someone would've gotten rid of him." Those who are trained to commit crimes cannot leave a trace even if they are fingerprints. They did everything very cleanly, full of plans, cunning and cruel.

Nick touched his chin. "obvious. However, it was likely done by a different person."

Catalina jerks. "You mean?"

"The accident that befell Tatiana, and the accident that befell you, was probably done by the same person but covered by a different person."

Catalina. She looked at Nick and really wanted to ask him what he meant. The accident that befell her and the accident that befell Tatiana, was done by the same person but was covered by a different person?

'Done by the same person', more or less he knows who Nick means. The same culprit behind the traffic accident that hit him and hit Tatiana. Yet 'covered by different people', he still did not understand. Really don't understand.

Nick shook his hand. "Forget over! Don't think about it yet." That kind of thing, about being 'covered by different people' will be discussed after Tatiana wakes up. Before the girl wakes up, she will let everything stay like this. Letting Catalina choose her own steps. "Now, tell me, do you have a picture or suspect someone who is most likely to be the perpetrator?"

Catalina nodded. "Yes, I have it."

Nick raised his eyebrows. "Is what's on your mind the same as what's on my mind?"

Catalina shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe." But he was pretty sure they were thinking the same thing.

Knowing that the 'doer' Catalina had in mind was the same as the 'doer' she had in mind, Nick chuckled. "I thought you were, you're so smart." Sometimes things are much easier to understand without words. So, without Catalina saying it, she could already figure it out.

"Thank you for the compliment" Catalina replied. He knows who the suspect is. No. gabe. He was very sure that person was the culprit. Only, he still did not understand what his motive was.

The hatred that person displayed was blatant, the fierce gaze, as well as the aura of wanting to kill, why did he hate Tatiana so much and want to get rid of her again and again?

Should he ask Nick what motive he has? Does Nick know? Will Nick answer that?

I don't know.

He's not sure about that.

He's not sure Nick knows more than he does.
