"Sir." Kenny walked into Sehan's study in a hurry. He barged in until he didn't knock on the door.
Sehan who saw this frowned. "It's still half an hour away. You don't have to run around like that" he said without taking his eyes off the documents in his hands.
Kenny halted his steps in front of Sehan's desk then bowed a little. "Sorry, sir, this isn't about meetings. It's about Miss Catalina."
Hearing the name Catalina, Sehan's movement stopped. He raised his face, looking at Kenny. "What's wrong? Say it!" Seeing how Kenny was expressionless, something bad must have happened. His gut said that. Although of course he hoped his premonition was not right.
"The car that took Miss Catalina off the set, had an accident" Kenny hastily explained. "I've booked a plane ticket for you. The driver is waiting for you downstairs. I'll take care of your work here." Upon receiving a call from his people in the city, Kenny instantly prepared everything. So when he went into Sehan's study, he was ready to say the words to the man.
Sehan. Catalina accident? How come? No. gabe. This must be wrong. The girl's fine. More than okay.
Knowing what Sehan was thinking, Kenny reopened his voice, "I know you have a hard time believing it, but I hope Miss is fine. If you want to go, you can go now." Kenny repeated his words.
Sehan got up from his chair in a daze.
He still doesn't believe.
How could he believe something bad was happening to his girl? Five days ago, the girl was fine. Knowing she would finish filming today and catch a night flight, she who was supposed to visit him, did not.
Seeing Sehan seeming confused, as a professional assistant, Kenny moved quickly to pick up his suit and help him put it on and grab his phone and put it in his pants pocket. The movement was very fast and it only took a few seconds until Sehan was ready to leave.
"Master, now!" kenny said again.
Sehan nodded. He got out of his room and rushed to the airport.
When she arrived in Newcastle upon Tyne after cancelling two important meetings, Catalina was already transferred to the inpatient room.
As soon as he saw the girl lying on top of the hospital bed with the infusion attached to the back of his hand, Sehan let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God." he muttered. Despite being unconscious, at least he did not suffer any serious injuries. Only external wounds, no internal injuries. That's what the doctor said.
Sehan walked over to the girl with lethargic steps.
Seeing his tired face sound asleep, he could not help but touch it. Her beautiful face, a face that usually shows a happy expression when looking at it, now there are scratches and bruises that are quite severe. Not only that, the bandages were also coiled on his head and hands.
He doesn't know what's going on. But seeing how the wounds scattered on the girl's body, he could not imagine how scared she was when the car he was riding in slid into the ravine.
Sehan sat himself in the chair beside the bed and his hand held Catalina's hand tightly. He lowered his head, confused.
A while later he raised his face and looked at Catalina with a complicated look. "How's this? What am I supposed to do, Catalina?" He paused for a moment his sentence. "I don't know anymore. Really don't know."
***
Darkness enveloped before slowly turning into a bright light.
Catalina opened her eyes and was immediately blinded by the blinding light.
Is this a dream?
Catalina wondered as her gaze caught a little girl playing in the courtyard. From her face, Catalina could recognize him with just a single look.
"Tatiana," he murmured. Is correct. The little girl is Tatiana. But strangely, why does not his body shrink. He is the self now. As for Tatiana, why did the Tatiana he saw turn small?
Tatiana turned her head when she heard her name on the call. "Sister, did you call me?" He ran over to Catalina with a sweet smile on his lips and stopped his steps right in front of Catalina.
"Of course, it's me" Tatiana replied. "Have you forgotten me?"
Catalina. Tears welled up in his eyes and he was unable to utter a word to answer Tatiana's question.
Tatiana's face, how could she forget about it?
It was that face that kept haunting him for as long as he lived. To haunt him was like a nightmare every time he closed his eyes. Distracting and constantly bothering him from time to time.
When he suddenly saw the little face of Tatiana, as well as the orphanage they used to live in, he suspected this was another form of torture that Tatiana gave him.
So, is this the torture that takes place in the afterlife? Is this the afterlife that many people often talk about? Is he dead? Is he really dead?
"Sister, why are you here?" ask Tatiana. He looked at Catalina in confusion.
Tatiana's question jolts Catalina's daydream. Catalina commented a small smile. "Why am I here? I don't know. I don't know either. Maybe because I miss you. Miss you so much." He pulled Tatiana's small body and hugged her tightly.
When was the last time he hugged Tatiana like this?
That's been a long time.
But he never forgot the taste. His warmth, he never forgot it.
"Why don't you come back?" ask Tatiana again.
Catalina. He loosened his embrace. "Where to go back?"
"Back to where you're supposed to live."
Catalina was stunned once again. "I can't go back" he murmured. "After all, I'm coming for you. I'm not coming back without you." He grabbed Tatiana's hand and grabbed it. "Trust me, this time I won't leave you. Really won't." Catalina has sworn in her heart, in the future, wherever she is, she will always be with Tatiana. No matter what, they can't be separated anymore.
Now, after meeting the girl in a waking state, he was unlikely to let go. Even if Tatiana's body became small and returned to being a child, there was no problem with that. He can always accept it.
"But, brother, I can't go with you. This is my place, not yours. You should leave without me. I'll catch up with you later. After everything's done." Tatiana said gloomily. He pushed Catalina and ran away from her.
"Tatiana," Catalina called out her name but the girl kept running away leaving her. "Tatiana, don't leave me. Let's go together. Back to where I came from, where we came from." Silent though. There's no sound.
In an instant, the light slowly dissipated, leaving behind a long darkness before Catalina opened her eyes and felt almost blinded by the soft dim light.
It took a while before his eyes flickered habitually.
Where'sisthis?
Confused, he looked around the room.
When his gaze caught the figure of a man sitting on the sofa, looking busy with his laptop, next to his eyebrows raised. So, it was all just a dream? His meeting with Tatiana? Talk to Tatiana?
Deserve Tatiana's body shrink, it turns out all that is just a dream.
Catalina tried to organize her thoughts, and when she remembered something important, she was shocked and her eyes were rounded. Stacey's? He remembers having a car accident with the girl.
But when she doesn't see Stacey anywhere, Catalina forces her body to wake up. The pain in his body even he ignored. He looked at Sehan with a complicated look before saying in a loud voice. "Stacey, where's Stacey?"
