Raphael's stunned. Want to get him to play chess?
Raphael looked at his son in disbelief. Is this a dream? A Sehan, asking to play chess? This must not be true. How could a person like him remember to visit his father and even invite him to play chess?
"You don't want to?" Sehan re-opens the sound.
Raphael awakens from his daydream and realizes that this is not a dream. "Take the chess!" said later. When did Sehan invite him to play? There is a good chance, he will not miss it.
Sehan took his chessboard in the closet and sat himself in the chair. He began to arrange chess pieces on the board. White for her father and black for her.
Sitting before him was a very serious looking Raphael. Raphael only watched as his son arranged the chess pieces. Not intending to help him.
"Dadd, you first!" said Sehan after finishing arranging.
Raphael started his first step and said, "Is there a problem?" His indifferent and infrequent son came, when it became friendly and suddenly came, he felt that something was happening. Maybe this is called parental instinct. Be sensitive to the problems of their children.
"You're not coming down? Isn't there an Addams family downstairs?" Ignoring his father's question, Sehan asked another question while starting his first step.
"They are your mother's guests" replied Raphael. Although he does not hate the Addams family, but that does not mean he likes it. He just doesn't hate it.
"That means they're your guests, too" Sehan chimed in. "You forgot, she's engaged to Lexus?" 'He' What Sehan meant was Pamela. The daughter-in-law that her mother wanted.
However, seeing how his father reacted, the man did not seem to like him very much. Which means, other than her mother, no one likes her. Except Lexus. Since Lexus was willing to make the girl his fiancee, maybe Lexus liked her.
Raphael smiled slightly. "I'm just following what your mother wants" he said. "You know, he could kill himself if I replaced the daughter-in-law. I mean, Lexus' future wife. No matter whether I like it or not, your mother is the most important. And I respect his choice." Raphael is a good man. A good husband and father. Regardless of how he did not meet the Addams family, but deep down, all he wanted was the happiness of his family. Especially wife.
Sehan chuckled. Hearing his father's answer, he hesitated to say what he really wanted to say. His mother's mental health was very poor and yes, it was something he feared. If he reveals the truth, he fears losing his mother forever.
"Why are you laughing? Is that funny?" ask Raphael.
"No." Sehan shook his head. "I just thought, you love her so much anyway." Very amusing. He also loves Catalina. Loved her. But he still doesn't know what to do. Between her depressed mother or Catalina being abused, she is afraid to destroy the harmony that has now improved.
"You think I don't?" Raphael laughing. "If I didn't love her, you wouldn't be in this world."
"You're right."
Seeing his son acting so strangely, Raphael grew suspicious. "Don't talk about them. Tell me about yourself." He suspected Sehan was at odds with Catalina. It was just his conjecture. But from his movements, it seems so.
"What to tell me about myself?"
"Anything." Raphael touched the chin. "Em.. What about your love life? Is everything okay?"
"Md. Everything's going well." At least so far everything is fine. No problem is meaningful. There was no problem he failed to address.
"Goodoo. I was worried you weren't treating him well" Raphael said.
"On what basis did you conclude such a thing?"
"Because you're not a romantic person."
"That's because you don't know."
Sehan nodded. "M."
Busy talking, suddenly the door opened from the outside. But neither Raphael nor Sehan, no one looked over. Both of them remained busy with their games as they already knew who was entering without knocking on the door.
"You guys really ignored the Addams?" sarah asked as she walked towards Raphael. He asked two men who were busy playing chess.
Raphael and Sehan looked at each other.
"I told you, I don't hate them, but don't force me to like them." Raphael responded to Sarah.
"Me too" Sehan said. He did not take the initiative to give an answer instead chose to imitate Raphael's answer.
Raphael looked at Sehan and slightly sneered. But he felt right because Sehan agreed with the answer. Each has its own principles. They have what they like and don't. He doesn't like the Addams, nothing can change that.
He still remembers how arrogant the family was after his daughter managed to become Lexus' fiancee. By reason of a dead baby, they use Lexus to fulfill their wishes. Compared to the Atkinsons, they looked a little better. But if you look more carefully, they are not much different.
"Well, I won't say anything anymore" Sarah said. "But you have to remember, she gave birth to your granddaughter. Lexus' son is our grandson." Not forgetting she warned her husband not to forget the existence of the baby.
"Birth my grandson? Which grandson? I don't feel like I have a grandchild." Raphael said casually. His voice was flat and calm. But the implied meaning is quite deep and immeasurable. After all, the fetus has been buried and now there is no more. He does not understand why things that have long passed must be revealed again.
"Although the baby is dead, the baby still has the blood of our family, Raph."
Raphael sighed furiously. Rather than prolong the problem, he decided to keep quiet. This discussion, it's always sickening. He was tired of hearing these words every time the Addams family came to visit. I don't know what they told his wife. But maybe it's not a good thing.
Seeing Raphael silent, Sarah intended to say something when Sehan's voice caught her hearing.
"Mom." Seeing this little debate, Sehan opened his voice. Not to stop the debate, but he wanted to know how his mother's reaction to one thing was quite important.
Sarah swallowed all her words back. Instead, he turned his head, looking at Sehan. "Yes, honey?"
"What do you think if he doesn't become your son-in-law and they don't become your boss?" Sehan asked carefully. As he said before, his mother's mental health was not very good. He was afraid that this question would affect him.
Sarah was stunned for a moment before walking towards Sehan and whispering in his ear. "Then you'll see my death." That way, he walked towards the door and exited without saying anything more.
Sehan took a long breath. He expected an answer like this that he would get if he asked his mother. But even though he knew the results would be no different, he still asked. How foolish he was to expect a different outcome when it was impossible.
"Don't take heart what your mother says. He is like that" Raphael said as he watched his son appear distressed. "You remember when your grandparents died?"
Sehan nodded. "You've told me that."
"That's when Sylvie came and comforted him. From then on, your mother took him like her own sister." It happened years ago when her sister was surrounded by her husband.
Unable to endure the pain of being betrayed, Sarah's younger sister committed suicide. Since then, the condition of the whole family is not very good. Sarah's father and mother were grieved and died in turn. Sarah is alone.
At the time, Sarah was not married to him.
Although Sarah managed to avenge her sister and her entire family, but it did not change anything. The dead will never return.
