Dee followed the lead from Mr. Marvel. Both of them walked to the cafe that was being built. Dee was enthusiastic. Even the woman smiling widely showed her admiration.
"Hopefully things will go well, Miss Dee. It seems you are much more excited than we are." Mr. Marvel smiled. He was really friendly in guiding Dee to look around the new cafe.
"You're too complimentary. I'm happy that this partnership will be successful." Dee no longer continued his words. His smile disappeared on his lips.
At the other end a man in an expensive suit walked into the cafe. Right towards Dee who was standing. Hurriedly Dee threw his face the other way to keep Kane from seeing him. Dee didn't think Kane was in this place.
"Why is he even here? Waita minute. Something is strange. Why would Mr. Marvel be so polite to Kane?" Dee sat up while thinking hard. His chest thumped violently when he realized that there was only 1 possibility.
"Don't Kane own this cafe?" Dee asked inwardly.
His eyes blinked repeatedly a sign he was still confused and still trying to understand what was happening. Dee also put on a sharp ear. There were many questions in his heart. However, Dee is getting dead fleas when he sees Marvel actually brings Kane closer to Dee.
"Miss Dee, I'd like to introduce you to the office owners who are here." Marvel excitedly approached Dee. So inevitably Dee turned her body and looked at Marvel and Kane.
"Mr Kane, this is the woman I told you about. He is the owner of our new cafe. Miss Dee is a nice person." Marvel is excited to introduce two people who actually miss each other.
Marvel's introduction left Kane and Dee with no other choice. Both of them should shake hands in honor of Marvel. Clumsy and stiff, the two shook hands.
"Kane."
"Dee."
The two men were like they were electrocuted. Suddenly their chests pounded uncontrollably when the hands of Kane and Dee clashed. Kane's sharp eyes looked at the two eyes of Dee who also looked at him softly. Deheman's voice from Marvel made both Dee and Kane's hands slip away.
"Yes God. Do I have to be stuck in this situation continuously? Why do we have to meet in this way? I didn't expect that this brash man was precisely the boss in this place? Good Lord! There are so many men in this world then why should I meet him?" Dee felt uncomfortable in a situation like this.
"Em, Mr. Marvel. Sorry, I've been busy lately. So, I have to go. Call me later if there's a problem." After saying that, Kane turned away.
Kane's instantaneous departure made Dee breathe a sigh of relief. From the look of his face, he looks like he just slipped from the heavy burden that must be borne. Without Dee knowing because he was happy because Kane had left, Marvel watched him sharply.
"Ah, it's nothing, Mr. Marvel. Ah, how is that. Anu, look. About an accountability. Can I cancel the partnership at the cafe?" Dee really can't think straight. In his head it only crossed that he should immediately derail this cooperation. Before Kane goes any further.
"Why do you want to cancel this partnership? Aren't you the most excited today? Then why suddenly want to cancel the cooperation contract? I don't think this is april mop." Marvel eyes squeaking.
Marvel's eyebrows swooped sharply investigating every facial mimic that was on Dee's face. What Marvel did made Dee take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
"Sir Marvel, you can still look for people who are even much smarter than me. Certainly more professional in making fruit drinks besides me. Moreover, the profit offer here feels different. Although I couldn't find anything that made a difference. Just a matter of salary, is it true that usually people work here with a decent salary even though they just work?" Dee vented all the things that pissed him off today.
"Sorry, Miss Dee. It's not my authority to talk about salary. You might be able to ask him from the financial side or Mr. Kane himself that you want to cancel the contract." This time, Marvel's eyes look different. He observed the figure of the woman in front of him with an expression that was difficult to interpret.
Dee fell silent. He couldn't have said he wanted to get away from Kane's life. Considering Marvel itself is very assertive even though the man likes to talk casually. Dee smiled awkwardly. But the look in Marvel's eyes couldn't lie that the man in front of him was watching Dee's movements.
"But, Mr. Marvel. We just signed it, didn't we? It still hasn't been a day." Dee smiled. He's still trying to be friendly to Mr. Marvel.
"I'm sorry, Miss Dee. That's how it is. The reason a written contract is required exists to avoid things like this. I can't do anything either. Because all the decisions are in the hands of Mr. Kane" said Marvel.
"Yes God! Why does it have to be like this? This is a bad thing for me. How can I not know if this is Kane's business? I'm so stupid for not finding out." Dee spoke inwardly.
Dee started to remember everything. Yes, there was someone who bought drinks from him by paying a lot of money.
The Great Bird Uncle, yes Jason called him that. Suddenly Dee also remembers his friendship with Kane first and his. Akh don't tell me if Uncle Big Bird is Kane. Dee's head feels so dizzy now. He wanted to be a loud scream.
'Jason, you have to explain this to your mama!'
"Sir Marvel, I would like to cancel that contract" Dee said.
Marvel looked towards Dee but was not too surprised. He expected it. More precisely his master had already expected this to happen.
