The Destiny of a Substitute Mother

The Destiny of a Substitute Mother
Chapters. 8 Is in Vain

Mr. Jhon ran small towards the car because he could not find Dee. Men's breaths sounded irregular, worried if Kane scolded him. Pak Jhon's step began to stop when he knew Kane's car was in front of him at this time. He opened the door very carefully because Kane was resting inside.

However, still the master cleared his throat as soon as he realized the arrival of Mr. Jhon and immediately made the man swallow his saliva violently. “P—. Sorry, Miss Dee has escaped,” said Mr. Jhon.

Kane instantly widened his eyes. “Stupid!” objurgation. Then, he picked up the phone and ordered some of his men to search for Honey Dee.

Seeing the look of the face of the flat and cold Kane alone, managed to make Pak Jhon frightened. He feels very guilty for not being able to bring Dee back to his boss. Mr. Jhon was still staring outside the car while waiting for his boss to finish calling.

“We go to the villa now,” orders Kane in a flat, but terrible voice.

“Good, Sir,” replied Mr. Jhon.

He drives his car at a moderate speed. Mr. Jhon's breathing still feels heavy because of an abnormal heartbeat. Luckily, Kane didn't hit him right away.

Along the way to Villa, Kane kept calling his men who were splitting up looking for Dee. I hope there is good news that he hears soon.

“Job!” said the man of stout stature while throwing his phone.

Mr. Jhon's body immediately shuddered to see Kane who was enveloped in anger. He ventured to ask, “What's up, Mister?”

“Dee not found,” he replied, while throwing a glance out the car glass.

Meanwhile, Dee who managed to escape from Pak Jhon rushed to find a taxi. Sometimes he looks back to make sure there are no Kane men who follow him.

“Pak, please anterin me to the terminal, yes,” Dee said when finding a taxi parked by the roadside.

Some of the people who were there looked astonished to see it coming. Dee's breathing was very fast, even sweat soaked his forehead as well as his body.

A middle-aged man immediately nodded in agreement. “Udah ready, Mbak?” ask the driver kindly.

“Udah, Sir,” says Dee.

The taxi driver drove to the terminal. Fast speed according to Honey Dee's request. Although he felt saved, but still he had to be vigilant, while staring around and making sure he was safe from the pursuit of Kane.

“Still yes, Sir.” Dee gave money to the taxi driver.

“Sama-sama, Ma'am,” reply that man.

Dee ran back into the terminal. In such a hurry, he collided with someone. The extremely crowded place did not give him enough space to rush to the ticket purchase place. In fact, several times Dee had to be patient to be able to continue his steps among hundreds of people.

For a moment, he took a deep breath. A thin smile was created at the corner of the woman's lips when she saw the ticket purchase place was in sight. This time Dee took a leisurely step there.

“Mbak?” A guard lady turned her head when she heard the call.

“Yes? Can I help you?” ask the woman.

“I want to buy a ticket.” Dee blurted, touching her jeans pocket. Suddenly Dee's eyeballs rounded. “Where is my wallet?” his inner.

“Where is your destination? How many tickets?” ask the woman in front of Dee.

“E-ee ... briefly, yes,” Dee said with a wry smile.

“Is there an obstacle, Ma'am?” ask the guard.

“Sorry, later I come back again,” Dee said with a pale face.

He stepped limp away from the ticket purchase place while continuing to remember, if—where the wallet fell. An idea came to his mind. However, Dee was not too bold to do that.

He wanted to report to the officer if he lost his wallet, but it felt impossible, because Kane would later find out where he was there.

Dee, who did not know what to do, was silent on the front page of the terminal. Then, she intends to go to her friend's house for help. His legs stepped towards the taxi again.

It didn't take long to get there. Little smiling Dee looked at the simple house in front of her. He hopes to find a solution if he meets his friend later.

“Pak, wait here, yes. I take the money first,” said Dee pasa taxi driver.

“Iya, Mbak,” says.

Geck! Geck!

Geck! Geck! Geck!

Several times he knocked on the door of the house, also peeking from the window until he felt tired. Most likely, his friend is not at home. Once again—Dee is desperate with the current reality.

Although afraid of being scolded, he still met the taxi driver who was still waiting for him. Dee said, “Pak, sorry, I can't pay because ... my friend is not home.” His lips felt stiff when he spoke.

“Where the hell? If ‘not able to pay don't get booed by taxi dong!” hardik the man with a sharp look.

“Sorry, Sir,” Ooze Dee again.

“Sorry, sorry. I'm also chasing deposits. Even passengers who want it for free like this.” The driver left immediately after cursing Honey Dee.

Once again, he was completely confused and devastated. Where should I go after this? To kosan? Not likely. Kane would've found it if he went there. The sky started to cloud over, Dee left the terminal with her shaky steps without any direction.

Unfortunately, the rain just fell without caring about Honey Dee who was confused looking for a place to go home. Let alone go home, to shelter he did not know where to be. The area was suddenly deserted by people.

The rain water is getting heavier. Dee was unlikely to hit him continuously, so ran to the nearest stop for shelter. Unexpectedly there was a car that approached him. Dee sat at the stop, rubbing her hands to make her feel warmer.

How surprised he saw Kane who got off the car, carrying a black umbrella and ready to pick up his wife. Before he was caught, Dee ran away. He ran as fast as he could, without direction.

Kane also did not remain silent. She threw her umbrella out of distress. The man's observant eyes continued to monitor where Dee had gone. The two of them were running around under the rain.

“Dee, beware!” kane shouted as he looked at a car from the opposite direction.

Dee ignored her husband's screams, instead continuing to run despite her safety being threatened. When the car almost hit Dee, Kane was just in time to help him.

They both fell to the side of the road. Dee still could not believe that his efforts all day were in vain. Kane found it.

“Do not run away again.” Kane said softly right in Dee's ear.

Dee's energy is up, not eating, raining, cold, Kane then carrying Dee to his car.
