CH. 12 – News for Shen Shen

“You are not coming?” Zhou Fu, who was well-dressed, came to Shen Shen and told him about his luck a while ago, and invited Shen Shen to rest and eat in his room. Instead of being pleased, Shen Shen showed a sullen expression when he heard the good news from Zhou Fu. He only gave a small nod while his head turned to the left and his two hands were folded in front of his chest. Shen Shen seemed to feel annoyed and embarrassed about having to accept the help of the person he had ridiculed some time ago.

“I'll calculate how much help you're going to cost. Once I get to Caihong, I will pay him double! Remember that!” Shen Shen who did not want his pride to fall, immediately boasted that Zhou Fu's help was a debt.

“Whatever you say, there's obviously something I want to ask you, but eat and rest first,” Zhou Fu shook his head to see the behavior of old women who should be able to act more mature than him.

Zhou Fu said honestly about the important thing he wanted to say to Shen Shen. However, he decided to ask Shen Shen to eat and rest first because he was worried that what he wanted to ask would make Shen Shen lose his appetite.

Inside the inn, Shen Shen seemed to be so greedily eating various dishes that he did not realize that Zhou Fu was watching him seriously. Zhou Fu was thinking about how to begin with the question that plagued his mind back then. As the curiosity in his heart grew increasingly untreatable, Zhou Fu asked the question without excuse.

“Shen Shen, do you know someone nicknamed Tuang Zhengyi from Caihong?”

Shen Shen stopped eating, he put down the chopsticks then gulped down a glass of water. Shen Shen frowned and asked, “as I remember, I have never told you a word about my father.”

“So right, Mr Zhengyi is your father?” Zhou Fu whispered.

“Ya, everyone Caihong knows…

Zhou Fu jumped up from his seat and immediately shut Shen Shen's mouth. Shen Shen rebelled but Zhou Fu gestured for him to hear Zhou Fu's explanation first.

“Ehm, look.. A few moments ago when I was about to get out of the inn and meet you, I passed by some people who also happened to stay here, one of them said your name. But something was strange, so I eavesdropped for a while. You know, they said…

Zhou Fu brought his lips closer to Shen Shen's ears,”they said that Shen Shen the daughter of Mr. Zhengyi had already died on the way to the student meeting.”

Shen Shen gulped many times, he did not expect that people would regard his disappearance as a death. But his shock was not finished because Zhou Fu's facial features still held something that had not been revealed.

“Continue your information,” Shen Shen affirms your heart to hear anything else Zhou Fu might say.

“Do you know Yang Zi?” Zhou Fu asked without a sound.

Shen Shen Shen's feathers stood up, he had not expected that name to be uttered by Zhou Fu. He did not want to hear anything more from Zhou Fu but part of his heart actually said the opposite.

“Forward your information, I guess I don't need to answer.”

Zhou Fu gulped a few times. He tried to choose the best words among the bad. But his vocabulary does not indicate a good choice of words to preach bad news.

“Yang Zi, she disappeared.”

Shen Shen covered his mouth with both hands. His eyes were teary, his head was shaking left and right.

“Unfortunately, the news spread is not so!” Zhou Fu continued.

“Then? What happened to my sister Yang Zi?” Shen Shen shook Zhou Fu's body hoping that the teenager would soon give him reassurance.

“Yang Zi disappeared by leaving the messy room. No one knows if your house is entered by a stranger. They only knew, in the morning, a few drops of blood were left in Yang Zi's room and she disappeared. But don't worry, we'll both find it.”

Shen Shen shed his tears. He did not understand how a second-rate noble would experience such a disaster. The government had to pay a heavy price for a fatal disaster for the people living inside the giant wall. But, it was not the government's compensation that Shen Shen wanted. No matter how much compensation will be given, Shen Shen will choose the safety of Yang Zi, his sister.

Later that night, Zhou Fu invited Shen Shen over for a discussion. Zhou Fu first asked Shen Shen to remove his silvery hairband, as it was a marker that he was a family of second-rate nobles in Caihong. If there were any other attributes that could be a marker that one was a noble family, Zhou Fu also asked Shen Shen to take them off.

Shen Shen has died. Then they also have to use a new identity as someone else who just wanders.

“I don't want to change my name! I think there are quite a number of girls who have the same name. Enough attributes of my nobility that I took off. For the rest, I am the new Shen Shen!” Shen Shen refused when Zhou Fu asked him to make a new name.

Of course it was too weak to be the reason the other party wanted to eliminate his existence.

And about Yang Zi???

Shen Shen could not think clearly. Zhou Fu who saw Shen Shen Shen's confusion then reminded him to just rest. Trouble won't be solved with just someone getting confused. At least resting will make things worse.

“Thank you,” Shen Shen said softly to Zhou Fu who turned out to be quite mature once in a while.

I also want to be crazy up lhooo. Nulis gini is sometimes spontaneity, sometimes it is also planned. Sometimes make a chapter, then suddenly remove the total because it feels bad groove. Then rewrite it, and bewildered myself because the groove in the head was contaminated the same previously deleted chapter (honestly there was one chapter that I removed because it showed the innocence of Zhou Fu hehe, hehe said, afraid to comment, I deleted it).
