CH. 33 – Entering a Drowning Civilization

The identity of the man wrapped in white cloth is still a mystery. Why he sank the ship of the Shamo people, why he had no interest in attacking Zhou Fu and Shen Shen Shen, all are still big question marks. Regardless of who the person really was, Zhou Fu was confident that the person possessed abilities far superior to him.

“It's a good thing he's not chasing us,” said Shen Shen who also saw the departure of the man in white clothes leaving the shipwrecked Shamo.

“It seems, Shamo people are indeed at odds with many parties! That guy was one of them!” zhou Fu responded to Shen Shen's words, but Shen Shen's eyes could not yet turn away from the slowly sinking Shamo.

“What shipwreck is bothering you?” Zhou Fu asked curiously.

“No. I don't think about the ship. But, about the case that had happened to several noble families in Caihong,” Shen Shen shook his head, he recalled a case that had shocked the Caihong noble family several months ago.

Shen Shen then told Zhou Fu if there was an extraordinary incident in the Caihong noble settlement where five families consisting of 23 people died with the same complaint of stomach leakage. Unfortunately, not a single healer managed to find the cause of the stomach leak.

“Do you consider any involvement of Shamo people in the incident?” Zhou Fu furrowed his brows, it seemed to make sense as well if it was connected to Shamo's citizens.

“Don't know, I myself just found out if Feng Yaoshan has Shamo's blood. I guess, the first-class noble title was only given to the Caihong natives? Something seems wrong with that.”

“Quiet, we will get the answer later, after we meet your father!” Zhou Fu patted Shen Shen on the shoulder and then led him into the ship. Before they entered the ship, Zhou Fu asked a crew to take care of the bodies of the Shamo people on his ship.

After the encounter with Shamo's ship, Zhou Fu and Shen Shen's journey to the shallow sea did not experience a single significant obstacle. Their ship sailed very smoothly towards the southeast to find shallow waters, a location commonly inhabited by coral reef habitats.

It only took three days and three nights, Zhou Fu's ship had arrived in a shallow sea. It was a water that had water clarity equivalent to glass. The fish with the appearance of color passed like playing hide and seek with herd. Coral reefs and various sea plants waving with a gurgle like grass that blushed by the seduction of the breeze.

Shen Shen and Zhou Fu dropped out of the ship simultaneously.  As Shen Shen enjoyed his amazement at the marine biota he had hardly encountered, Zhou Fu combed the shallow seas to find purplish blue montipores. A type of coral reef that looks like a large winding and porous tube with a rod and tip that has a different color.

Montipora used to live at a depth of 300 feet, and it made Zhou Fu dive deeper leaving Shen Shen busy observing the lionfish. A unique fish with a striped mane blooms in several parts of his body. Those pretty manes seemed to have made Shen Shen ignore the danger that threatened him.

A moment passed, Zhou Fu was busy collecting montipora into his robe. Zhou Fu's eyes then caught a female body that was slowly sucked into the sea. None other than that, it was Shen Shen's body. Zhou Fu swam quickly to grab Shen Shen's body and bring it to the surface.

“Stupid basis! Baby monkey alone understands if lionfish fins contain poison!”  hardik Zhou Fu when Shen Shen's body was laid out in the ship. Shen Shen naturally did not know that the lionfish had 18 poisonous spots scattered in every mane on its body. The mane-shaped fin will inject dangerous toxins when they feel they are in a dangerous state.

Despite hearing the rebuke from Zhou Fu, Shen Shen remained silent, his body temperature rising while his body felt shivering with cold. He was still shocked when the beautiful fish he admired actually harmed him without permission.

“Faced with such a small fish your safety is threatened, ah what kind of man are you!” zhou Fu's eyebrows fused together as he continued his chatter.

“I won't die this time. Get rid of that anger. The most important thing is that we get montipora, right?” sahut Shen Shen with his mouth cracking with shivering.

“We?!! You don't even know where the montipora is! Never mind, next time try a little to save your own life!” zhou Fu said as he turned around and left Shen Shen cold. Shen Shen only threw a small smile as Zhou Fu's back slowly vanished from sight.

“To enter the Sinking Civilization, we must find three whirlpools around these waters,” Shen Shen raised his head as he and Zhou Fu were at the end of the ship.

“Sea as calm as this has a whirlpool?” Zhou Fu asked curiously, his two eyebrows raised and his head also looked up to follow Shen Shen who was combing the ocean.

“See, to the southwest! Definitely it is the entrance to the Sinking Civilization!” shen Shen's index finger pointed at the three black dots that were in the southwest direction.

Zhou Fu's eyes followed Shen Shen Shen's hands, nodding at the three points swirling on the surface of the ocean.

“Wait what else, let's prepare!” Zhou Fu took a stick of montipora from his robe, and crushed the reef in his grasp.

“This is for you!” zhou Fu said, handing over montipora crumbs to Shen Shen. Shen Shen accepted it and immediately opened his mouth to devour the montipora crumb.

“Damn it! Who told you to eat it?!” zhou Fu's left hand deftly covered Shen Shen's gaping mouth, Shen Shen furrowed an eyebrow of astonishment. His left hand put away Zhou Fu's palm that covered his lips.

“Then? How to use this montipora? You never told me before, remember that!” shen Shen grumbled with his mouth forward.

“Put those crumbs into your nostrils. Inhale as hard as you can to make sure the crumb gets into your respiratory tract. Oh yeah, it might feel a little unpleasant!” Zhou Fu explained at length and made Shen Shen shudder slightly in horror.

“Do you want to kill me? What if this montipora crumb injures my respiratory tract?” shen Shen's sergeant was exhausted but not responded by Zhou Fu. Instead of answering Shen Shen's doubts, Zhou Fu practiced directly inhaling the crumbs of montipora into his nose.

First of all, Zhou Fu was seen coughing with two reddened eyes and shedding tears.

“Hhhhh.. Already, after this, we can survive not breathing in water. Remember, keep your mouth shut while we're in the sea!” Zhou Fu let out a long sigh after inserting the crumbs of the coral reefs into his respiratory tract.

Shen Shen gulped many times, he was still reluctant to put the crumbs of montipora into his nose. Seeing this, Zhou Fu pushed Shen Shen's palm to his nose and with a blink of an eye grabbed the woman's waist to be invited to plunge into the sea.

“Damn it!” Shen Shen cursed and hurriedly sucked the montipora crumb into his nose before it was too late.

Zhou Fu chose to approach the three whirlpools by running on the water. It would make its way to the Sinking Civilization even faster.

“Ancient heirlooms, we came to pick you up!!!” While Zhou Fu was excited, his body was only ten meters away from the three whirlpools.
