The Eastern Continent Swordsman
CH. 41 – Book of the Seven Heavenly Knights

“The Book of the Seven Heavenly Knights has been taken from where it belongs. It is a book that was destroyed from history for a particular purpose. In the end, Luzon was drowned in the name of good for mankind. People today only know Luzon as a silent sea that separates the land of Caihong and Shamo. More than that, the land of Luzon is deliberately thrown out of history. Now that the book is gone from hiding, chaos may ensue. In the name of kindness, find the Book of the Seven Heavenly Knights and bury it deeply from life.”

Those were the inscription stanzas that were on the scroll that Shen Shen was reading. At the end of the message, it says the year it was made about two years earlier, and it is also mentioned if the message was written by the representative of the seven forces. An army that he said had the task of guarding the ancient book from warriors who had evil intentions. The headquarters of the seven forces were on the Bingdao mainland, and were currently investigating the disappearance of the book of the Seven Heavenly Knights.

“Fu’er, do you think the message in this scroll is a truth?” Shen Shen put down the scroll in his hand and turned to look towards Zhou Fu who was seen thinking of something.

“I guess I need to ask Li Xian's grandfather. He told me about Haku's verse, which may have been the same content we found in the second pavilion that day. That meant, of course Li Xian's grandfather had knowledge of the book of the Seven Heavenly Knights. And, I suppose, too, the verse is not related to Haku, but is related to his book!” Zhou Fu said.

“Fine, we save this problem first and start thinking about it again next time,” said Zhou Fu added that the cause of civilization sinking and the lost book of legend seems to be a problem that is not trivial.

***

Guichuan's ship had almost entered the waters of Caihong that afternoon. It was the ninth-country day of Zhou Fu's return to Guichuan's ship after hunting ancient relics in Luzon's underwater labyrinth. During those nine days, Zhou Fu and Shen Shen were busy studying the use of some heirlooms that had been found in the Luzon sea.

One of the heirlooms that Shen Shen had been aiming for was finally found by Zhou Fu, the heirloom was the Silver Dragon Diadem. An heirloom that is said to have once been owned by a noble princess. Mentioned in the fairy tale, if the diadem is a gift from the father of the noble who wants the death of the princess.

It was a diadem or crown that could make the wearer sleep and could not possibly wake up again. Fortunately, the noble princess actually managed to become a great swordsman after wearing the silver dragon diadem.

Used to have a stretcher, the diadem can bring the wearer to enter and be trapped into the dream dimension. The dream dimension that the silver dragon diadem created had a time difference with the real world dimension, where one night in the real world was equal to one month in the dream dimension.

If a person does not awaken himself from the dream dimension, he will be trapped in that dimension without ever being able to return to the real world. Lucky the princess has experience controlling dreams or what is commonly referred to modern society as lucid dream. A state that makes a person realize if he is in the dream realm and has the ability to awaken himself from the dream realm.

The knowledge of dream control is then used by noble daughters to learn and practice martial arts in dreams. One night in the real world was the equivalent of one month in the dream dimension, the noble princess finally managed to master some martial arts in just a short amount of time.

“After I have mastered the basics of martial arts, I will sleep and wear a silver dragon diadem, then I will make sure the next day when I wake up, my abilities have developed!” shen Shen spoke while demonstrating some of the basic martial arts moves Zhou Fu taught him.

“Are you really sure that the heirloom is still usable?” zhou Fu asked while confirming some of Shen Shen Shen's less precise hand movements. With Shen Shen's such ability, Zhou Fu was actually doubtful whether Shen Shen could have martial arts or not. However, he did not want to damage Shen Shen Shen's explosive spirit.

“We'll see tonight, and I'll prove it tomorrow morning after I wake up!” shen Shen replied briefly, he seemed to be looking forward to trying out the abilities of the silver dragon diadem Zhou Fu obtained from Luzon.

“Of course. I have learned the ways, and have practiced them. Are you doubting me?” Shen Shen asked back.

“Slightly. Alright, as your martial master, I order you not to wear that diadem tonight. I'm assigning you to sleep as usual and then waking yourself up in exactly one-third of the night. I didn't sleep tonight to see if you could actually do it!” Zhou Fu gave the order.

“Pending again? This is the ninth day you told me to postpone it again!” Shen Shen stopped making any movements and showed a displeased expression at his teenage teacher.

“That yesterday-yesterday, your movement is still totally wrong! What happens if you learn the wrong moves for weeks? It's the same you're aggravating your own abilities! Basic!” tukas Zhou Fu reminded.

“Alright... Baiklaah!” Shen Shen was seen snorting in annoyance but then he agreed to Zhou Fu's orders.

The night came and Shen Shen was already preparing to sleep as usual while Zhou Fu waited in a corner of the room. While waiting for the coming of a third of the night, Zhou Fu did some deep energy to improve his abilities.

“Remember, if I manage to wake up in the third of the night after falling asleep, you must promise to allow me to use the silver dragon diadem tomorrow!” Shen Shen reminded Zhou Fu again, after he had briefly closed his eyes.

Zhou Fu, who was meditating, was forced to glare for a moment to warn Shen Shen not to disturb him from practicing deep-energy training. Zhou Fu finally closed back and did some energy after feeling calm.

“Does Li Xian's grandfather have any involvement with civilization in the Luzon sea? Was Li Xian's grandfather a descendant of the drowned Luzon society?”

Zhou Fu's concentration was suddenly piqued by the preconceptions that had appeared in his head. There were several conjectures that had sprung up in Zhou Fu's head regarding why his grandfather had always been hiding from the outside life.

“But, didn't Li Xian's grandfather ever tell you that he lived in Caihong? Does that mean he became an intruder in the land of Caihong and after being revealed his true identity, Li Xian's grandfather came out of Caihong and hid?” zhou Fu's mind began to get busy guessing.
