CH. 7 – Something on Youhi Island

It had become normal when one first set foot onto a small island, the first to be heard was the rumbling of various jungle beasts. Not so with the forest of Youhi. The view of Youhi forest did seem normal as the islands in general, but Li Xian's feeling said that something was wrong with the island.

“Fu’er, you rest first here, grandfather wants to make sure something!”

“Good. If there is any danger, Grandfather do not hesitate to ask for my help.” Zhou Fu made a suggestion with a serious expression, it seemed like he had indeed felt like a hero ever since he managed to conquer the enemy the other day with just a single blow.

Li Xian walked carefully, wondering what made the forest so quiet. Li Xian's steps came to a halt when he found a large rock that seemed to be deliberately placed in the forest aunt and quite close to the beach location. The stone is at least 15 times the size of an adult. All sides of the stone have the same shape that is perforated and like eroded something.

“Welcome to Youhi island. Leave the island immediately if you still want to breathe!”

Li Xian read the carvings on the giant stone, although some of the writing seemed to be cut because of the condition of the stone porous, Li Xian was quite sure if the contents of the writing were so. Usually, a good traveler is willing to give a sign if they happen to stop at special places that are dangerous.

“Cucuku! Come here!”

Li Xian called Zhou Fu to ask him something. Before long, Zhou Fu approached. It was seen by Li Xian that Zhou Fu's eyes had blackened pockets, his lips blue and his skin was browner. However, the look in his eyes remained brilliant, it seemed that he was indeed very happy because he could walk out of the island of Konglong.

“Fu’er my grandson, what if we sail again looking for another island? From the note on the stone, grandfather thought there was something dangerous on the island. What say?”

“Danger? Does that mean challenging? All right, let's cake see what's dangerous, if there's something inside, let's kick it together!”

Without waiting for the grandfather's approval, Zhou Fu stepped into the forest with his head up, like he wanted to introduce how great he was to the island of Youhi. Li Xian shook his head to see his little grandson who likes to challenge everything named ‘danger’.

More than three miles away, Li Xian and Zhou Fu did not find a single hunted beast. Zhou Fu repeatedly asked Li Xian why they were alone in the forest. Li Xian could not answer because he had not found a single clue. Until some time later, there was a rumbling sound that came out of nowhere. Li Xian clutched Zhou Fu's shoulder to warn him to be on guard.

Zhou Fu looked in all directions, he hoped that the rumbling sound was the sound of a savage beast they could eat his flesh. Zhou Fu also hoped that the wild beast would be a little harder to conquer because while on the island of Konglong he felt very bored with the ferocious beasts that were easily defeated.

Before long, the rumbling sound grew louder and louder even making the ears almost deaf so loud. Li Xian knew the voice, he shouted at Zhou Fu before it was too late. But in fact he was late, Li Xian's voice sank. Drowning in the true sense.

Li Xian wanted to yell at Zhou Fu to hold on tight to a tree or climb onto a tall tree. But before the sentence reached Zhou Fu's ears, Youhi Island was hit by a massive earthquake and accompanied by a tsunami whose water waves were higher than even the tallest trees on the island.

Li Xian was able to survive quite well in the sweep of the tsunami storm, many times his body hit the trees and rocks but it did not injure him in the slightest. He was able to not breathe for some time when the island of Youhi was sunk by the tsunami waves.

Li Xian goosebumps imagining how Zhou Fu's small body was swept away by the giant waves. Where did Zhou Fu drift? How is he doing right now? Does he understand what to do?

Li Xian swam at maximum speed and went around in various directions to find his grandson's body. Beyond Li Xian's expectations, the island of Youhi sank in more than half an hour. It was a duration too long for a wave of water to be able to sink an entire island in a single blow.

The question of why there were no animals in the forest, at least now has been answered. Of course, not a single animal managed to survive the violent natural disaster. But, it no longer bothered Li Xian's mind. His head was only filled to where Zhou Fu was drifting, how was Zhou Fu.

The atmosphere of Youhi island was already a little more normal after the earthquake, Li Xian continued his search but the search had not yielded any results even though the days had changed. Yes, Zhou Fu has been missing for more than 24 hours. If Zhou Fu was still on the island, Li Xian believed he had found him because he had traveled to each corner of the small island.

Still, Zhou Fu's nasal shaft didn't appear in the slightest.

Days had changed again, Li Xian's search had yet to find a bright spot. Desperate Li Xian chose to sit on the lips of the island, right on the beach where he and his grandson first arrived on Youhi island. Li Xian hoped, somehow, there would be a miracle from the Gods so that little Zhou Fu could survive the tsunami rampage the other day.

And it seemed, God did grant Li Xian hope. Seeming far away from the middle of the ocean, his eyes found a point that moved increasingly closer. The little dot mengelasurkan sound arising and sinking, the,

“Grandpa!!! Grandpa!!! We can finally eat meat! I found this big fish in the ocean!”

Yes, it was Zhou Fu. Li Xian was almost moved to hear the voice of his granddaughter who was very excited. Li Xian seemed to regret his confusion and sadness those two days, in fact, the person he was worried about even seemed to have nothing to worry about.

Zhou Fu reached the shore panting, dragging a large, lifeless whale. His body was soaked with sweat mixed with sea water.

“Sykurlah! Thank God, you saved my grandson!” Li Xian said as he stroked Zhou Fu's wet head.

Zhou Fu looked up and asked,

“Who's God? I don't get help from anyone! I caught this fish alone you know?!!”
