CH. 53 – Hell's Gorge
Kuma's footsteps and the noisy sounds of the night beasts still accompanied Zhou Fu's journey towards the Juda river. As far as Kuma went, only the narrow path Zhou Fu and Kuma walked along. Zhou Fu did travel the closest distance to the Juda river through a steep cliff slope that is quite rarely traversed by humans. With the route he was on now, he could save at least half the travel time than if he were to pass the normal route.
That night, even though the moon only contributed a little light, Kuma was quite nimble to step in the darkness. This proves that what the waiter of the Songgho Guard Bureau said was indeed true, Kuma was a fairly well-trained horse. The waiter of the Songgho Guards Bureau enthusiastically pointed out their best horse as well as the fastest route to Judah after he received a reward of several pieces of silver.
The fastest route to Judah is often referred to as the Hell's Gorge. In addition to the degree of slope of the road is quite steep, some bird news say if the Gorge of Hell has mystical powers that can make someone experience accidents and misfortune. In fact, not a few horses that strike when passing through areas that are quite dangerous. Kuma is one of the few selected horses that have been tested to have courage in conquering the Gorge of Hell.
Even reportedly, Kuma is a horse that can still survive the disaster that had occurred on the cliff of the Hell's Gorge several years before. While someone was riding Kuma, it is not known with certainty how his fate. Clearly, Kuma chose to go home alone to the Songho Guards Bureau without taking anyone along.
Hiiiiii…. Hiiiiikkkk!!!
Kuma neighed loudly as he raised his two front legs, Zhou Fu frowned when he found Kuma suddenly forcing him to stop. Zhou Fu looked around, sharpening his eyes to see if something was bothering Kuma.
“Is there any danger ahead there?” Zhou Fu asked Kuma after realizing it seemed like Kuma had a pretty good understanding of human language. Kuma replied with a slight sigh. But he still did not want to move his legs even though Zhou Fu asked him to walk slowly.
Finally, Zhou Fu was forced to descend from Kuma and try to observe the path that lay before them. The road was quiet and quiet. Quite strange because the previous streets the atmosphere of the cliff slope that Zhou Fu passed was filled with the noise of insects and night animals. Meanwhile, right at the point Kuma stopped the noisy sounds of night beasts like being swallowed by darkness. Just leaving a fairly odd silence.
Zhou Fu began to put a multiplying vigilance, trying to figure out what danger was lurking before his eyes. His footsteps sounded so loud in his ears, he began to feel his vision a little blurred. There seemed to be a thick fog from the opposite direction and the mist was moving towards Zhou Fu.
“Retreat! Get back in here! Quick!!!!” Someone who tied Zhou Fu to Kuma's back suddenly woke up and screamed to warn Zhou Fu. He screamed without ever stopping, as if there was a great danger lurking around Zhou Fu.
Hearing the scream, Zhou Fu looked back and immediately his body seemed to be pulled by something invisible, having no shape and no voice. Something like a strong wave. Zhou Fu's gaze grew increasingly blurred and he felt his mind become confused. At the same time, his ears heard the woman on Kuma's back screaming nonstop to ask him to come back. Kuma neighed repeatedly, apparently also asking that Zhou Fu not continue his footsteps.
Zhou Fu's vision became completely dark, the waves that were pulling his body in the opposite direction were also growing stronger. He fought very hard to turn his body around, then stepped his legs to return to Kuma. His feet were numb, his eyes saw nothing but his ears still heard warning cries.

Hiiihii!!! Hiiiiihiik!!!
Kuma neighs quite hard. He tried to wake Zhou Fu who had lost consciousness ten minutes ago. And for ten minutes Kuma also neighed without stopping as his legs stomped the ground. Hoping that Zhou Fu would soon be able to open his eyes again.
Kuma neighed in excitement as Zhou Fu showed signs of waking up from fainting. Zhou Fu felt a dizzy feeling fill his head, he tried to gather consciousness and finally succeeded. He was lying in front of Kuma, but strangely, his eyes caught someone on Kuma's back who was still unconscious.
“So, who is screaming to warn if the girl on Kuma's back is still unconscious?”
Zhou Fu gulped a few times. It seemed very clear if the woman was still quite quiet. It was the first time he had encountered such an inexplicable distress with his own common sense. He also believes that the danger in front of him does not come from human behavior. The wave that attracted him a moment ago was a wave that seemed to come from somewhere that stored quite strong energy. For a moment, Zhou Fu took the wisest step of resting and trying to calm his agitated mind without cause.
Kuma seemed to rub his head against Zhou Fu's chest that had just risen to his feet. The horse seemed to have an inner closeness with humans, as if it was calming Zhou Fu who still did not understand the situation. Unlike the confused Zhou Fu, Kuma had already seen something more terrifying than the loss of Zhou Fu's consciousness.
“Good horse, thank you,” replied Zhou Fu as he rubbed his hand against Kuma's neck.
Actually, the lurking danger was still within a thirty meter radius of the place. Kuma himself initially hoped that Zhou Fu would turn around as soon as he felt a strange air start emanating from the place. But, the thing that Kuma did not think about before was, something that turned out to be quite interested in harming Zhou Fu even from a considerable distance.
It even killed hundreds of lives in a single attack. Zhou Fu was lucky enough to escape one of the greatest dangers on the path of the Hell's Abyss.
