The Eastern Continent Swordsman

The Eastern Continent Swordsman
CH. 2 – Empty Hand Exercises

Zhou Fu's grandfather was Li Xian. Physically, Li Xian had no resemblance to Zhou Fu at all, Li Xian had a short, small-boned stature while Zhou Fu, though still six years old, was a very short-boned figure, one could see that Zhou Fu was a descendant of a burly old man. Li Xian was not really Zhou Fu's grandfather, but he always considered Zhou Fu to be his own grandson.

As in that night, Li Xian cradled the sleeping body of Zhou Fu curled up in the cave on the cold ground. Li Xian occasionally stroked the boy's head as if Zhou Fu was a baby. When Zhou Fu fell asleep, Li Xian always saw the face of a tired child. Zhou Fu's body was filled with scratches, beast bite wounds, impact wounds, and various other injuries that were actually quite terrible for a child of Zhou Fu's age to experience.

When Li Xian always harbored pity on his little grandson, Zhou Fu grew into a numb little boy. That is, he does not know what people call compassion, he does not know sadness, does not know happiness. All he felt was, uneasy and worried if he failed to carry out the duties of the grandfather, excited when he managed to fulfill the mission of his grandfather. If one day Zhou Fu suffered a wound that was either mild or serious, he never cried because he did not seem to know the function and how to cry. What he does when in pain is, feel uncomfortable and want to immediately escape the pain he is experiencing.

The night was getting late when Li Xian saw that his grandson was already well enough asleep. At such a time, Li Xian used to heal the wounds on Zhou Fu's body. Li Xian sat cross-legged facing Zhou Fu's sleeping back curled up. His eyes closed while chanting some incantations that he might have intended to give healing to his grandson. His two palms moved as if sweeping through the air that was all over Zhou Fu's body. He always did so that Zhou Fu would wake up fit in the morning, of course, without ever telling Zhou Fu so that the child would not rely too much on instant healing whenever injured.

After Li Xian felt that the healing he was doing was over, Li Xian got up to observe Zhou Fu's already headless hunting elephant. He smiled at the traps Zhou Fu had set in order to get the elephant trapped. There is a large stalactite measuring approximately five meters long that stuck firmly into the elephant's back to make the elephant lose its life.

Suddenly, Li Xian frowned for a while. He saw a strange mark on the right side of Zhou Fu's hunted elephant belly. There, there is a red fist-shaped mark that turns out the sign is also on the side of the elephant's abdomen, but in a different shape. If on the right side of the abdomen there appears to be a hand blow from the outside, on the left side of the elephant's stomach it indicates if the part has been hit from the inside.

                “What does that mean..”.

Li Xian observed more details of the red mark. His observation lasted for approximately ten minutes before he finally showed a very happy expression mixed with pride. It was a shadow punching technique, a technique whose level of complexity often made some warriors give up on learning it. Shadow punch is a move that can injure the body of several opponents at once because the movement has a long wavelength of damage.

Actually, there were already some moves that Zhou Fu managed to master very well at his young age. But Li Xian was quite surprised and amazed because his little grandson had managed to master a complicated style of mastery. Li Xian cut the elephant's body with the elephant's tusks. Sure enough, there was a blue tinge stretching from the beginning to the end of the punch Zhou Fu gave. Li Xian did not care if the blow was used by Zhou Fu to kill his prey, or if only a prank was hit as a result of growling he did not immediately come to his aid.

“Whatever the reason, you've quite succeeded my grandson,” Li Xian's smile flashed as his hands churned through the elephant's internal organs to observe how strongly the blow injured his target.

Zhou Fu woke up when he felt the ground that was sitting to curl up suddenly felt a great tremble. His eyes widened when he saw the large stalactites hanging over the cave suddenly one after another collapsing downwards. He who is not fully aware is forced to force his body to standby in a state.

“Damn it! Grandpa didn't even give me time to wake up!” Zhou Fu got up and ran out of the cave while occasionally dispelling the giant stalactites that were about to hit his body. Zhou Fu believed his grandfather was acting on the cave, issuing certain moves to make his life threatened. This was not done twice by Li Xian. When Zhou Fu was five years old, Li Xian even dared to throw his grandson into a pack of prey-hungry wolves.

“Ha ha ha... Let's wake up lazy boy! You lazy bastard, I only slept as a child no more than two hours a night! You lazy boy!” There was a sound of laughter from above the cave, from the sound of it, from the voice, Zhou Fu was sure that his grandfather was enjoying his busy life fighting against drowsiness while dispelling spiky chunks of stone that could crumble his body at any time.

From the top of the cave, Li Xian half ran through the air and walked over to Zhou Fu who seemed to harbor anger. As soon as he arrived right in front of Zhou Fu, he found Zhou Fu instantly rewarding him with a punch, from his movements, Li Xian knew that Zhou Fu was about to reward him with a shadow punching style. Li Xian smiled and let his stomach be hit by a heavy blow from Zhou Fu. With Li Xian's undoubted quality, he was certain that his grandson's punch would only be like a mosquito bite.

                “Blows a thousand shadows!”

Youuug!!!

As soon as the punch landed on his stomach, he felt a fairly painful shockwave. His spine was like being hit by a piece of steel.

Duaaar!!!

There was a stone on the front side of the cave that was also split when Zhou Fu launched his attack.

Shit*an, I didn't think the hit would be this hard!

Li Xian made up, but it was precisely another sentence that came out of his mouth,

“What kind of punch it is, even baby deer will only feel itchy if hit like that!”
