30. Second Party Interference

The fourth technique of enchantment magic, Illusion. If previously Xie Ran used Illusion to create a beautiful dream that would make the target feel the desired life so as not to want to return, it was only a part of the Illusion technique.

In addition to being able to create an illusion that is not real, Xie Ran can create his own Illusory World that only he can control.

Huli Dong'er is trapped inside. Like a dimension where everything has mirrors from all directions so that the woman has a lot of mirroring. Huli Dong'er who had been trapped could not get out easily despite using teleportation.

But it was not enough to destroy all the mirrors. He increased the diffused energy so that the air thinned and centered on the mirrors that confused him.

Its shape is like a meteor that fell to the ground causing cracks in the earth accompanied by dark energy. The black fog spread rapidly like waves causing the glass shards to sound loud.

However, it could not completely damage the Illusory World. This was the Illusory World, all before him was not reality. It was precisely with this that he caused a lot of damage to the protection array that Xie Ran had created outside that Xie Ran had to retreat a few meters. This demon is indeed worthy of being called the Demon King's accomplice.

Several soldiers began to surround the arena. Huli Dong'er was still trapped in the illusion so did not notice it. He simply floated in the air with the protection of dark energy so that no one could take a chance.

He gripped the chain tightly and pulled it hard until it broke. Jumping quickly dodged the magic that appeared then searched for the whereabouts of the human girl. His figure flashed swiftly from one place to another. 

When he saw the red figure present launching an attack towards him, he immediately took another direction and shot out at a higher speed. His hand managed to grab Xie Ran's neck, this illusion would end after killing this little girl.

But something shocking happened. Xie Ran's form became a collection of threads that suddenly tied his entire body into a cocoon. His expression became complicated, he was angry to have been played again. He tried hard to get out of the bundle of yarn that was getting smaller and made a fist on the gap of the bundle of yarn.

The thread made a hole along with the exit of Huli Dong'er, but she still could not escape the illusion. His body suddenly slammed and twisted in the air. The red figure he was targeting had slammed him brutally and stabbed his chest with a sharp dagger.

Huli Dong'er groaned in pain. He gripped Xie Ran's shoulder then lifted her up into the air and landed her hard. He jumped to his feet and aimed his sharp claws, Xie Ran could dodge as smoothly as well as other attacks. Huli Dong'er felt that his speed was already terrifying, how could he be defeated by such an amateur girl!

Huli Dong'er gathered all her mental strength while launching a fist at Xie Ran. The illusory attack used quite a lot of mental strength, it could also be defeated by mental strength in addition to defeating the owner directly.

As if knowing the Devil's plan, Xie Ran made his illusion even more extreme attacking Huli Dong'er to thwart him and kill quickly. Huli Dong'er's body was filled with wounds from the illusion of sharp knives that overwhelmed him. But he did not stop the gathering of power.

Dark energy slowly gathered. Xie Ran's illusion grew weaker as he ran out of mental strength so that Huli Dong'er's mental strength was strengthened and cracked the illusionary world in a single strike. 

Huli Dong'er's mental strength was much stronger. It pierced through the illusionary world and made a counterattack on Xie Ran until the girl had no chance of dodging and injuring her soul.

Blood came out from Xie Ran's mouth while his body was blown away. Huli Dong'er had a worse fate. He spewed out a mouthful of black blood on the ground while his body was covered in wounds as well as his clothes were tattered. Just like Xie Ran, he lost so much mental strength that he was unable to fight anymore.

Xie Ran wiped the blood on his lips and stood up with a sharp look. His red eyes had already turned black again accompanied by a chilling aura. His gaze still had killing intent and was bloodthirsty.

Xie Ran crouched down near the Devil who had almost lost consciousness. "Aren't you the Devil King's accomplice? How can you lose to a human?"

"You!" Huli Dong'er wanted to fight again, but when she moved her body, she felt an excruciating pain.

"How can I meet your king?"

Huli Dong'er grunts. "You think I'll tell you? Even if you kill me, I won't say it."

"really?" Xie Ran took out his dagger and rubbed Huli Dong'er's pretty face with the sharp object. "Do you think your colleagues still think of you as a partner? After destroying everything that's yours, let's see if they still put you in the same position."

"You! Lowly man!" Huli Dong'er was furious. This girl wants to kill him slowly? In dreams! "My master will help me. He's gonna save me!"

Xie Ran smirked. "I don't think it's like that."

Huli Dong'er hesitated for a moment. Then his gaze shifted on the hidden figure among the soldiers. His eyes showed shock, his body trembling yet also pleased like looking at the figure he was waiting for. It made Xie Ran confused and thought that this Devil had gone mad.

He was just about to say something, suddenly his gaze saw something thin flashed by, next he saw a red spot appear on the neck forming a smooth incision accompanied by the devil's smile which slowly faded away replaced disappointment. At first no one noticed it, but the red patches were increasingly pouring down his neck making Xie Ran startled.

The next second, his head was perfectly separated from the body.

Everyone was surprised by the sight and Xie Ran was no exception. Xie Ran had yet to make his next move, even his knife was still clean. Who did it that smoothly without being noticed?

The second party had cleared everything that easily, but who?

Xie Ran tightened his fists feeling his plan had been made a failure. However, unfinished he thought of a way to search for that invisible figure, Xie Ran was made wary of the existence of a powerful figure around him.

He looked to the side where he felt that power. Just about to step up, a mist appeared in the air precisely targeting towards him.  Xie Ran flinched, he prepared for the next fight even though his mental strength was exhausted.

However when it sensed an extremely powerful force and was able to kill it with a single strike, Xie Ran immediately thought of a way to escape from here. He did not care about the members of the empire, which was important for him to live.

Xie Ran dodged the energy blades that appeared suddenly. That power was exactly pressing all the soldiers to collapse, but not with Xie Ran trying to stay awake. He darted about to leave, but another energy blade appeared blocking his path so Xie Ran had to return to where he was.

Xie Ran felt his strength run out and was unable to fight back anymore. Although the attack was directed at him, it had no killing intent making Xie Ran not feel much danger. Instead, this person seemed to be testing it.

But still the so-called attack would hurt him!

The magic appeared again at lightning speed. Xie Ran could see the figure behind the magic, but Xie Ran could not think much. He would use the rest of his power to receive magic. He cannot be weak!

But when he saw the magic gliding right before his eyes, Xie Ran could not hold it any more and closed his eyes. The pressure was too strong to give him a headache. Even the two Zhong brothers were not strong enough to hold him back any longer despite already coming out of the battle area.

The magic was getting closer by several meters from Xie Ran. It feels like a bomb that will explode once it hits the target. And right, the powerful explosion along with the huge energy fluctuations occurred making the energy blades spread out to tear down many people even the two Zhong brothers were no exception.

When Xie Ran thought himself dead without pain, he opened his eyes and was stunned for a moment. After digesting what had happened, he realized that the figure in front of him was blocking the attack with a dazzling silver protector.

Xie Ran's eyes puffed up to see the presence of a handsome man in front of him. His dazzling silver rays were directly facing off with rays that looked like whirlwinds. However Xie Ran only noticed the white-clothed man.

"Qu Xuanzi?" Unknowingly Xie Ran called it in a mutter but it could be heard by the man.

Qu Xuanzi turned his head slightly and returned to his magic. He immediately exerted his might towards the man who had attacked Xei Ran just now. The man retreated a few steps before finally the black robe covering his handsome face opened.

Xie Ran walked up to Qu Xuanzi and thanked him in a gesture. Then it was directed at the cloaked man. His handsome face made Xie Ran stunned. He doesn't feel foreign, but he's hard to remember. Features handsome face and dream that makes women fascinated. Xie Ran could confirm his good looks were slightly below Qu Xuanzi's.

"Honor Your Majesty, may you live for thousands of years!"

The soldiers who had fallen before immediately knelt down as did Zhong Wenyue and Zhong Xiaorong. They showed respect and did not dare to look at the man he considered 'Her Majesty'.

Qu Xuanzi glanced at Xie Ran and saw the woman seemed to know the man everyone was glorifying. Even though he himself who lived longer did not know who the man was.

Xie Ran looked at the man intensely as he folded his hands together. In the end he remembered who the man in his memories was.

"Zhong Guofeng, how did you get here? Why are you attacking!" Xie Ran looked at him in annoyance. His eyes were full of accusation while the one who was stared at just silently looked at him.

"Please! How dare you mention His Majesty's name. Get down on your knees!" Suddenly an old eunuch came nagging Xie Ran who was being struck by emotion.

"Who are you!" Xie Ran did not want to lose. Why should he kneel? Isn't his name that?

"Your Majesty—" The eunuch wanted to try to calm his lord because he felt that the man had been angry because of Xie Ran's actions so as to attack him. But the man immediately looked at him sharply making Si Kasim speechless a thousand words.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding. Please Miss don't take it in heart." Suddenly the man was being polite making Xie Ran speechless. He thought the debate would get longer but who would have thought the man apologized.

Xie Ran felt suddenly the atmosphere became strange. He looked at everyone who was also speechless as if he could not believe what the man had just said. The old eunuch was the same.

"A sudden attack when I just finished the fight and lost a lot of energy. What's your real purpose?" Xie Ran did not want to extend that 'sorry' word that sounded strange in people's ears.

"I made a mistake before. I just came after sensing the demonic power, coincidentally seeing Miss who had just been engulfed in a strange power. I thought too short thinking Miss is the Devil."

"Here it is, I don't want to extend it anymore." Xie Ran better give up and leave. He only wanted to receive 200 gold coins from Lady Hu and leave here to look for traces of the vandals.

"Since Miss has helped us kill the Devils, what if staying in the Palace briefly discusses something?" Zhong Guofeng offered Xie Ran a move Xie Ran stopped and turned his head back.

But unfortunately the next remark from Zhong Guofeng made Xie Ran's move stop.

Zhong Guofeng glanced at Qu Xuanzi who had a grim face with a provocation look as if he had won. While Qu Xuanzi did not respond to him anymore.

This human wants to take Ranran away from him through the help of the school? He wanted to see how far the little Emperor had crawled.
