Ch. 2 — The Helper

Everything went well in the beginning. This is in accordance with the plans of the witches and also Wave.

That pitch-black flame that came from the Underworld was slowly being suppressed by the power from the Sky Storm Magic Diagram.

The water and wind coming from the magic diagram kept suppressing the black flames like a wave rolling down the shore.

Until an unexpected event happens …

A very powerful explosion again occurred in the pitch black flames and made the fire even more blazing until almost touching further.

A very stinging heat immediately attacked the entire section and made the air temperature in this place rise many times.

“What really happened?”

“I don't know either. It is possible that the power of the wind element that is in the magic diagram that we use has made the flame even stronger.”

“That kind of thing feels impossible. The human world and the Underworld had different Mana characteristics. So there is no way our magic can fuse with magic that comes from the Underworld.”

“Then what if the flames were not actually fire element magic from the Underworld. But a creature that comes from the Underworld.”

The witches were arguing with each other because a strange phenomenon like this had only first occurred in the entire Four Seasons Continent. However, they all did not find a definite answer regarding the events that were before them.

Until the end …

That pitch-black flame then turned into a gigantic Dragon figure that was extremely frightening.

The giant dragon was pitch-black with a length of about twenty meters. It also had a pair of horns that were also enveloped with black-colored flames. Highlight his sharp, bloodthirsty eyes like a starving beast that longs for its prey for thousands of years.

This giant dragon also had a pair of wings made from hellfire. The air temperature around this place instantly rose up to many times since the appearance of this dragon.

“Roar ...”

The roar of a dragon boomed all over Spring City as this gigantic dragon opened its mouth for the first time. His very distinctive voice caused a certain fear in everyone who heard this voice, as if their lives were about to end.

“Ma-What creature is it? Is he a demon who comes from the Underworld,” said a witch with a voice trembling in surprise.

“I don't know either. But, that creature must be very dangerous. Because, something that comes from the Underworld is not something good,” replied the leader of the group of witches thought hard but he also did not manage to find an answer.

The jet-black dragon then flew into the sky and surrounded the place where the witches were tasked with fighting the fire.

The color of the sky suddenly turned pitch-black like a starless night due to the aura emitted by this Black Dragon. Besides being powerful, the aura from this Black Dragon also contained an extremely pure darkness energy.

The skin of these witches became tingling due to feeling an overwhelming sensation of discomfort. This aura of darkness energy was like thousands of needles piercing the surface of the skin.

...“Golden Dome Magic Formation.”...

Suddenly a voice came from the back where the witches were standing and a golden-coloured protective formation instantly appeared around them. This protective formation was able to dispel the aura of dark energy that was attacking towards them.

All the witches immediately looked back and felt very grateful because the helper they had been waiting for finally came.

Yep! The figure who had just come and made a protective format for the witches was Wave.

“Destroyed Dragon!! How dare you show up in my hometown and wreak havoc here. You want to go back to where you came from and bring all these hellfire back to the Underworld, or I will exterminate you.”

Of course the anger of Wave instantly exploded upon seeing the Dragon from this Underworld and was anxious to kill him because his hometown had been ravaged to this extent.

However, he could not act brutally because to extinguish the black flames emanating from the Underworld was no easy matter. So Wave must choose the best way to reduce the impact of damage and casualties.

The giant dragon looked down at Wave trivially as the nature of a dragon was both Proud and Arrogant. They all felt that they were the strongest and greatest beings in the entire universe.

“I didn't come to this place to trade with you, humans!! So there's no point in bargaining with me. My goal in coming to this place is to rule this planet. And what should have given you a choice was me. Because I am stronger than all of you. You choose to submit and become my slaves or die!”

The sound of this dragon made the bodies of everyone around this place shudder in fear except Wave and the witches. This threat sounded like the voice of the Death God ready to take the life of anyone who did not obey his words.

Wave was completely indifferent to this threat of the Black Dragon. He was not afraid in the slightest because he believed that his magic ability would be able to kill this Black Dragon despite having to go through quite a fierce fight first.

Wave then took out his wand and began to cast magic spells with a language that sounded very ancient. Even the witches around him did not recognize every single word spoken from Wave's mouth.

With all his strength, Wave began to move his magic wand into the sky. And a gigantic magic diagram was instantly imprinted in the sky. The area of this magic diagram was almost equivalent to the area of Spring City.

The witches who were near the Wave were instantly shocked because the magic used by this Wave should have been lost thousands of years ago.

In the library of the magic academy there are indeed several books that show the shape of this magic diagram, but there is not a single book that writes about magic spells to activate this magic diagram. Because, this magic is one of the forbidden magic that has the power to destroy the World.

“You should have the courage to go against my words. Turns out you have a little bit of ability.” The giant dragon stared coldly at Wave. His desire to kill the Wave became even greater because the Wave was a barrier for him to take control of the Planet.
