Ch. 56 — Angry Phoenix Thunder.

Xing Wang looked at the skeleton of the Thunder Phoenix that was about ten meters in size with a gaze full of admiration.

Previously he did not feel any sensation when he first entered the main chamber of this tomb. However, now everything was different after he was right before the skeleton of the Thunder Phoenix within a very close distance of roughly only two meters away.

Such a powerful lightning energy pressure as if it wanted to barge into his body through all the meridian points scattered in his body. However, Xing Wang had not dared to accept that lightning energy for fear of going against the phoenix fire energy.

“Finally you arrived at this place too. I've been waiting for you a long time.”

The soul remnants of the Thunder Phoenix that only measured no more than half a meter in size suddenly appeared before Xing Wang as if it was welcoming his arrival.

Xing Wang had already gotten used to events like this and was not at all surprised as he had also experienced the same events when obtaining the inheritance of the Fire Phoenix.

He asked casually. “Are you as soul left behind by the Thunder Phoenix in this place to choose who deserves the legacy of its power?”

Xing Wang tried to touch the figure before him. However, his hand failed to do that and directly pierced through the figure as if it was touching a shadow.

“I am indeed a soul left behind by the Thunder Phoenix to select and guide the one who managed to obtain the legacy of its power. From my attitude of not being surprised at the slightest while looking at me it seems that you have met a soul left behind by another Phoenix. Is my guess right?” the Thunder Phoenix replied then asked back.

Xing Wang tried to calm himself down before answering a question from the Thunder Phoenix soul. Because, he felt that the question was not simple and had a hidden intent related to the inheritance of the Thunder Phoenix.

“I did indeed meet a figure that was almost similar to you when I obtained the legacy of strength left behind by the Fire Phoenix,” Xing Wang replied in a firm voice without the slightest hesitation in his eyes.

The Thunder Phoenix chuckled. “Hehe .. It turns out that the Fire Phoenix has preceded me. It seems that this skeleton I left behind will be of no use anymore.”

Xing Wang frowned as he was unable to understand the meaning of the Thunder Phoenix's words. He finally dared to ask. “Why is the skeleton useless? Don't you have to fuse that skeleton with my body if you want to pass down the power you have on me? Or maybe you don't want to pass down the power you have on me.”

That Xing Wang question certainly made the Thunder Phoenix become offended. Because, the meaning of the question seemed to accuse if the Thunder Phoenix had absolutely no intention to pass down the power he had. If such a thing were to happen then the Thunder Phoenix had broken the deal he made with the other Phoenixes in the past.

The Thunder Phoenix stared intently at Xing Wang. “Better you think again before asking me a question or I will destroy your body without remaining.”

Incredibly fierce lightning began to rumble on the ceiling of this Goa as a sign that the Thunder Phoenix was enraged.

An extremely powerful lightning energy pressure instantly struck Xing Wang and locked onto his movements. Xing Wang could not do much because the lightning energy was as if it had locked all the meridian points scattered in his body so that all the nerves present within his body could not work properly.

“What do you want to do! If you don't want to give me your inheritance then I'll leave this place. You don't have to attack me like this,” Xing Wang's protest began to grow furious.
