Ch. 8 — Tomb Phoenix Fire

A path made of ice instantly formed under where Shen Yin Ye was flying.

Every time Shen Yin Ye passed through a place, then the path she went through would instantly freeze and turn into ice as a result of the cold power possessed by the shadow of the Snow Phoenix.

There was absolutely no Beast that dared to head off Shen Yin Ye's current journey. Don't come any closer, no one will dare for fear of being frozen by this pure force of cold.

Shen Yin Ye finally reached the foot of the mountain that the shadow of the Fire Phoenix Bird showed after she followed the traces of flames left behind by the bird while heading to this place.

It seemed like the shadow of the Fire Phoenix Bird had power equivalent to the shadow of the Snow Phoenix Bird that Shen Yin Ye had because these two creatures were both from the Phoenix Race which was one of the Holy Animals. So it was only natural that every time he flew through an area, he would, it would then leave a trail of fire in the path he was on just like what the Snow Phoenix had done that froze every path he walked.

Shen Yin Ye was getting excited because the place she was looking for had finally succeeded in finding. Moreover, he felt the courting of an extremely pure and powerful aura from within this Goa. The courting of this aura was almost similar to the aura possessed by the Snow Phoenix just that its different type of energy was the fire element.

Shen Yin Ye saw that there was a Goa at the foot of the mountain. The cave looks a little dangerous because the inside of Goa is red burning like embers. It is seen that the air temperature inside Goa is very hot.

Without lowering his guard, Shen Yin Ye then went down and stopped in front of the entrance of Goa to observe the area around the entrance of Goa. Because, Goa that holds a relic from one of the sacred animals usually has a very strong guard around the entrance to protect the object so as not to fall into the wrong hands.

“It looks like there are no traps or protective formations around this Goa entrance. It was possible that the temperature of the air inside this Goa was a natural protector created by the Fire Phoenix Bird. If my estimation is correct, this air temperature should have come from the last strength of the Fire Phoenix Bird before it fell in this deep place of Goa,” Shen Yin Ye muttered while thinking about how to break through into that extremely hot Goa.

The shadow of the Snow Phoenix that was behind Shen Yin Ye's body suddenly spouted a chill from her mouth with a very distinctive voice.

The coldness of the ice Phoenix and the heat of the Fire Phoenix clashed against each other. The two powers turned out to be balanced, until Shen Yin Ye used the power to help the Snow Phoenix.

The combined cold of Shen Yin Ye's power and the Snow Phoenix directly split the fire inside the Goa and created a path that resembled an ice passage in the middle of Goa.

This hallway made of ice is able to withstand the heat around it.

Shen Yin Ye regained her strength and the shadow of the Snow Phoenix disappeared. Because, the size of the Snow Phoenix shadow was too big to enter this narrow passageway.

This time he walked slowly down this ice aisle while tapping the Wave. He could no longer use the formation of the energy ball within this narrow passageway, which had been designed to be passable by only two people. However, he still used his pure energy to envelop the area around the heart of the Wave.

Shen Yin Ye could see thousands of stalactites and stalagmites adorning Goa's walls. All the stalactites and stalagmites were red like lava pillars that had been frozen into crystal forms. Perhaps this stalactite and stalagmite were the true manifestations of the remnants of the Fire Phoenix's power.

If only he had not been under the protection of the ice aisle made by the Snow Phoenix, he would have died roasted inside this Goa due to a heat attack that could be like hell.

The hot air in Goa is hotter up to many times than the air temperature in the Kahyangan Fire Continent which is the place with the highest air temperature in all corners of the Planet Arizone.

After walking for about twenty meters, Shen Yin Ye finally arrived at a very spacious room.

The air temperature in this room is also much lower than the air temperature at the entrance because there are no stalactites or stalagmites in this room, this room is the main part of Goa.

At the end of this room, Shen Yin Ye could see a twenty meter tall giant Phoenix Bird skeleton that was still intact. Not a single part of the skeleton was missing.

“That must be the skeleton of the Fire Phoenix Bird. This place is the Tomb of the Fire Phoenix Bird, just like the one in the note written by ancestor.”

Shen Yin Ye then placed Wave's body on a large stone in front of him and carefully observed every part of the Fire Phoenix Bird's skeleton.

He seemed to have absolutely no interest in this Fire Phoenix Bird skeleton even though the skeleton of a saint beast like this definitely had many benefits.

I don't know what he was actually looking for, but something he was looking for was definitely more valuable and useful than the Fire Phoenix Bird skeleton he had neglected.

Shen Yin Ye suddenly smiled as both of her eyes looked at a red colored jewel ball the size of an adult head.

The jewel ball was inside the hidden space that was behind the skeletal head of the Fire Phoenix Bird.

“That's him. It turns out that it really is in this place.”

Shen Yin Ye immediately flew over to pick up the jewel ball. However, an extremely strong heat suddenly appeared and protected the jewel ball.

Shen Yin Ye had no other way but to step back for a moment and rethink the way to be able to take the jewel ball safely. He was unable to attack that protective formation for fear that the power of his attack would instead destroy the jewel ball.
