Ch. 46 — Gate.

After passing through the thousand steps leading to the basement, Xing Wang and Shen Yin Ye saw a gigantic gate made of wood.

Xing Wang and Shen Yin Ye felt that there was something at the sight of the gate. Usually, a gate as grand as this will be made as beautiful as possible and the materials used will also definitely be quite luxurious. Because, this lower chamber is still in the territory of the Royal palace. However, they both can guess there must be a special reason why the gate must be made from a very simple material, namely wood.

Emperor Jie looked at the expressions of the two of them with a smile then walked over to the gate. “Behind this gate is the tomb of the Thunder Phoenix. The two of you should be able to imagine what sort of power the lightning energy that the Thunder Phoenix possessed. And, the wood that comes from the world tree that has been thousands of years old alone can dampen the energy of lightning.”

World Tree is a very step tree and has a very extraordinary strength because the tree is able to purify natural energy that is unstable and seems destructive.

Xing Wang who was curious about Emperor Jie's explanation, finally came forward and touched the gate empty-handed and without the slightest protection.

And …

An extremely violent force pressure suddenly emitted from the gate and charged into Xing Wang's dantian. The pressure of that power was as if shackling the legacy power of the Fire Phoenix that was within him.

Xing Wang of course put up a fight and put in a lot of effort to bring out the energy pressure from that tree of life. Because, the inheritance power left behind by the Fire Phoenix was the only power that could help him take revenge on the Demon Dragon.

The energy from the world tree that tried to break through Xing Wang's dantian, could finally be forcibly expended in the not too distant future. He then immediately walked away from the gate after he managed to escape.

“You should be even more careful in the future! Never let yourself get caught up in such great curiosity because such a thing would only accelerate the path to the afterlife,” rebuked Shen Yin Ye while helping to cast a cold glance towards Xing Wang.

“I understand.” Xing Wang who was still breathing heavily, tried to stabilize his aura again. He was very grateful for being able to escape quickly before his dantian was destroyed by the powerful force.

“Are you okay?” Emperor Jie also directly approached Xing Wang with a slightly worried look on his face. Because, the Thunder Phoenix Spirit that was behind that gate would definitely go berserk if it knew the inheritance owner of the power of the Fire Phoenix had been destroyed by this gate.

“I'm fine. Emperor Jie had nothing to worry about,” Xing Wang replied after successfully stabilizing his aura.

“This gate has a special way to open it and requires absolutely no touch. Because, anyone who dares to touch this gate will die from running out of Qi,” explained Emperor Jie gave a hint.

Xing Wang could only curse inwardly after hearing the explanation from Emperor Jie. He's really upset right now. Because, if Emperor Jie told himself from the beginning if this gate should not be touched directly then something like this could not happen.
