Ch. 24 — First Attack

Boom . . . .

The sound of a bang that was so loud that it resembled the sound of a bomb explosion, was heard from the direction of the border of the second layer and the third layer, then followed by the sound of cracks that occurred repeatedly.

“Dia comes ..”

The Snake Prince looked extremely anxious even though he was currently near Xing Wang. Because, the cultivation level that Xing Wang had now was still very low, let alone this was the first time they had met.

The Snake Prince felt that all of this was happening because of him, so how could he possibly bear to let Xing Wang fight alone. After all he still had an heirloom artifact given his father in his body.

The artifact was an assault-type heirloom weapon that possessed strength equivalent to the attack of an Emperor-level Beast. This artifact would activate by itself when his life was in danger that almost took his life.

The Sky Lightning Snake originated was a very special Race among the Beasts. That said, the Sky Lightning Snake Race was one of the descendants of the Sacred Beasts, so this Race had a chance to overtake the strength that their ancestors possessed. It did not even rule out the possibility of them being able to ascend to the God Realm.

Because of this, the Sky Lightning Snake Race was highly respected and the lives of every descendant of this Race were so important that it had to be protected by an extremely powerful artifact.

However, as the saying goes 'An outward and special power is like a double-edged sword.'

In addition to making the other Beasts pay their respects like a God, the specialty possessed by the Sky Lightning Snake Race also invited feelings of envy and gave birth to hostility in the hearts of Beasts that belonged to the lower Race.

Meanwhile, Xing Wang who was running with all his might finally reached the border region between the second layer and the third layer.

Behind that already nearly collapsed formation wall, Xing Wang looked at the sizeable figure of the Shadow Tiger. The Tiger Shadow was about three meters tall with all its fur as black as night and a pair of eyes that shone like the moon at night.

The Shadow Tiger continued to attack the barrier formation created by Shen Yin Ye with the help of the power of the Snow Phoenix.

The nails on the two claws of the Shadow Tiger looked stronger than steel. Perhaps it was an heirloom weapon mentioned by the previous Snake Prince.

Each time the claw touched the barrier formation, it would leave a mark that was deep and long enough. The heirloom weapon was also capable of disrupting the recovery system that was inside the barrier formation. And, the Shadow Tiger had apparently made excellent use of the power of the heirloom weapon.

It wasn't easy to destroy this barrier formation, but any thing that could be made, would definitely be destroyed. It is the most fundamental principle of natural law.

Xing Wang simply stared at what the Shadow Tiger was doing from this place he was standing at this moment. He was not at all trying to prevent the actions of the Shadow Tiger. Because, preventing the process of destroying a formation that has been severely damaged and almost collapsed, is tantamount to accelerating the process of destruction of the formation.

Two loud explosions were heard as the two fireballs struck the Shadow Tiger's body and sent it bouncing back into the third layer.

Xing Wang's fireball attack had scorched some of the feathers present on the two front legs of the Shadow Tiger before it finally extinguished.

The Shadow Tiger looked somewhat dazed as it gazed at its two front legs which turned smooth after it got a sudden attack from Xing Wang. He was very surprised how there could be a living creature in the second layer that was able to injure him.

After his consciousness recovered, the Shadow Tiger looked to find out who dared to attack him. The gaze of his extremely sharp eyes finally stopped on Xing Wang who was currently also looking at him with a look of disdain.

“Have you attacked me?” The Shadow Tiger asked in a hateful tone.

“Did you see anyone else around here?” Xing Wang replied back by asking then continued to mock before the Shadow Tiger had time to reply. “If you don't find anyone else around here , then obviously I was the one who attacked you just now. Then what are you asking for? Except, you're a tiger that I ... ”
