Ch. 23 — Prince Snake

Xing Wang immediately entered the second layer as the sun revealed its form.

Just walking a few meters, he was surprised by the appearance of a very strange snake. The size of the snake was not too big maybe only about a meter. But, the scales on the body of the snake that make it different from other snakes.

The snake scales that were on the snake's body were sea blue in color and were enveloped with an aura of lightning energy that was quite powerful in each of its parts. And around the head there are golden scales that are similar to a crown.

Xing Wang walked up to the snake as it was still very curious. Perhaps this snake was one of the Beast rulers in this Forest. But, such a thing felt extremely impossible to exist in this place because according to the records Shen Yin Ye had left behind, all of the Beasts living in this second layer were medium-level Beasts.

Only a King-level or Emperor-level Beast was worthy of being the ruler of the Beasts. As for Sacred Beasts, it was a God for Beasts.

Xing Wang walked up to the snake because he was still curious.

But …

The snake directly attacked Xing Wang with its lightning power as it sensed the threat from the presence Xing Wang was spending which continued to approach him.

The snake scales that were on his body instantly emitted just any blue-colored lightning that pointed straight towards Xing Wang standing up.

Elan ....

Xing Wang immediately jumped to the side to dodge the lightning strike that was already about a few cents away from his neck.

“Quiet ... Calm .. I won't hurt you. I just want to get to know more closely a rare Beast like you,” Xing Wang exclaimed as both of his palms faced towards the snake.

Xing Wang tried to calm the snake down because he thought it was not evil. Because, the lightning attack that the snake had just done was completely devoid of any trace of killing intent. The attack was purely to scare his opponent away.

The snake's attitude suddenly softened after seeing the look in Xing Wang's eyes that was without a trace of lies. The aura of lightning energy that enveloped the snake's body slowly also regained its composure and gave Xing Wang a chance to narrow the distance between them.

Xing Wang saw three long incision wounds near the snake's tail. It looks like it's a Tiger's scar.

“If you believe me, I'll treat your wound. I make sure you won't experience the slightest pain,” Xing Wang said trying to take the snake's heart.

In this vast forest, other than the records that Shen Yin Ye had left behind, there was absolutely no other object that he could make a clue to walk through this forest. If he had a friend who was the Beast of the original inhabitants of this forest, it was the best direction and a blessing in itself for him.

It was possible that if he obtained such a friend, he would find some legacy buried deep in the interior of this forest. Because, the deepest part of this forest is never touched by humans. Including Shen Yin Ye though.

Those Beast Emperors were reportedly guarding the inheritance of the Sacred Beasts that had come to this Planet. In fact, there were countless Sacred Beasts in the God Realm or Underworld. But, the Dragon and Phoenix had the strongest position among the Sacred Beasts.

Without wasting any more time, Xing Wang immediately took out a few medicinal herbs Shen Yin Ye gave then applied them to the surface of the injured and lastly snake skin, he covered the wound with a tear from the shirt he was wearing.

“Thanks, man.”

The sound of this snake was quite shocking to Xing Wang. Because, a mid-level Beast should not have such high intelligence. A minimum of a Beast must be at a new high level his intelligence will match that of a human and be able to speak.

“You can talk it out?! Who the hell are you? And what level of Beast are you now? Then how can you be in this place?” although a little surprised, but Xing Wang still threw out various kinds of questions to treat his curiosity.

The snake paused for a moment as it was confused to start answering which question. Because, Xing Wang had showered him with some pretty tough questions.

“I am the Prince of the Sky Lightning Snake Beast Kingdom who is in the Lightning Rain Valley. I am a High-level Beast,” replied the snake without hiding anything because Xing Wang had helped him.

“It turns out to be true my guess. You are not a mid-level Beast,” Xing Wang replied as he held onto his chin. “Then why are you in this place? There should be a fairly strong barrier formation that will prevent you from coming to this place.”

Shen Yin Ye's artificial formation was indeed very powerful because Shen Yin Ye borrowed the power from the Snow Phoenix to set up this limiting formation. If Xing Wang did not obtain the special token from Shen Yin Ye, then it would be very impossible to pass through the barrier formation so easily.

“That limiting formation isn't a big deal to me. I was able to get through that barrier formation with the help of the heirloom weapon my father gave me. My biggest problem right now is the Shadow Tiger Beast that is hunting me. The beast wanted to kill me in order to take revenge on my father, so I was forced to flee to this place because the distance between the third layer and the Lightning Rain Valley was very far.”

Xing Wang only nodded his head even though he actually did not know where the location of the Lightning Rain Valley was. Because, that place was not in the records that Shen Yin Ye had left behind, so the place must have been outside of a five hundred kilometer radius of this place.

“What level is the Shadow Tiger Beast that is eyeing your life at?” reply Xing Wang.

“Beast it is at Master level,” replied the Snake Prince.

It just so happened that the current Xing Wang was indeed desperate to fight against a Master-level Beast to break the limits of his own abilities.

“Where is the Beast currently?” xing Wang asked excitedly.

“He should be heading this way and it won't take long because he also has an heirloom weapon that can be used to break through the barrier formation,” replied the Snake Prince.
