The Price Of Sincerity

The Price Of Sincerity
Third floor

Max parked his car on the side of the road. Jane who sat next to him looked dreamy and seemed to be unaware if the car had stopped. Even the gusts of night wind carrying leaves had already knocked slowly on the car window. Max could only faintly smile at the expressionless look on Jane's face beside him.

“Hey, what are you thinking? Don't tell me you're thinking of Dye and Ellen.” Max pinches Jane's cheek, resuscitating the woman from daydreaming.

“Ah, I didn't think about it. It's just—.”

“Justify. Don't think about it, they were just half-sisters, and- used to be in a relationship. Ex-lover, well long story. So stop thinking about that and tell me your home address, and if you still want to know we can tell you so until, okay?” Max raised his eyebrows looking at Jane who was staring at him and listening to his words carefully.

“No, no. Excuse me. I don't mean to interfere in their business. Really am. But to be honest, I was actually thinking about that, I was a little surprised to see them just now" Jane stopped her words immediately, and glanced at Max who seemed to be teasing him.

"See what?"

"none. Let's go home, straight and at the intersection turn right.”

“Good..”.

The night streets are not as crowded as usual, maybe people do not go to enjoy their weekend. Or just out of luck, Max and Jane arrive in front of a high-rise apartment at lightning speed. It didn't take long from where the car stopped a few minutes ago by the side of the road.

The trees surrounding the multi-storey building made the atmosphere of the night so cold, the wind blew quite hard on anyone who blocked it. Clouds of clouds cover the night sky. Looks like it's going to rain.

“Thank you,” said Jane after opening her seatbelt and intending to get out of the car. As soon as one of his legs was about to come down, Max held his hand so that he fell silent.

“Let me deliver,” dimples on Max's face reappear when he smiles.

“Bby. But we have to take the emergency stairs because the elevator is under repair. It's okay?”

“No problem.”

Max lets go of Jane's hand, and she pulls out of the car when Jane is on the front porch of the apartment building. It was quite dark inside the building, and some lights were turned off. Probably because it's almost midnight. Max and Jane walk side by side. They climb the stairs alternately, Max behind following Jane's steps.

“You live on what floor?”

“Three. If you're tired, you can come back down and go home. I don't feel good if I make you have to go up and down the stairs tonight.”

“I'm not that weak, have you not seen how sturdy the body I have, how could I be tired if only climbing the stairs like this.”

Jane did not answer but she nodded. The smile on Max's face suddenly turned into a mischievous little laugh. Easily and in no time Jane's body was in her arms.

“Hey, what are you doing. Put me down, what if anyone sees. People will misunderstand.”

“Why should others misunderstand, don't they have nothing to do with us. Want me to kiss you and fuck you now whatever cares about them.”

“Max, what do you mean. Don't joke like that,” Jane covered a part of her red face blushing at Max's words by leaning against the man's shoulder.

Max held Jane and walked up the steps one by one carefully. And he lowered the woman as soon as he walked out the door bearing the number 3. Jane instantly balanced her body standing up, and rushed towards a door located at the end of the hallway. He passed through several tightly shut doors while Max simply followed him with a smile still firmly fixed on his face.

“Thank you, I live here.” Jane seemed nervous to tell me that.

“Yes. I'll remember it," Max looked around. He was observing everything that was there to remember. And Jane seemed to be just standing in front of him saying nothing more. "Aren't you going to take me in? Maybe a glass of water.”

“Ah, yes. Sorry-sorry,” Jane immediately entered her door password, for the first time since she lived there just this time she entered the password wrong. The beep-like sound of the danger alarm embarrassed him to death as Max chuckled at him. Perhaps because he thought of the hot things in his head, he could not think clearly. He entered the wrong password twice, fortunately only the third time he entered the correct number.

“Please enter,” Jane allows Max to enter first. As soon as the man entered, Jane looked around. Blank. The door was locked again as soon as Jane walked in and closed the door. And to her surprise Jane was immediately shocked by the shock as soon as she was pulled and pushed to the wall. Max did. Jane could not see clearly because the lights there were off, but she believed her eyes were looking at Max in front of her.

At least a little dim light that penetrated the glass window gave it some help. Max held onto his chin and raised his little, the fingertips of the man's thumb touching Jane's soft thick lips. The touch made Jane pull out her tongue to wet her lips that felt dry right then and there.

“Looks like I don't need water anymore.” Max draws his face closer to Jane, gently sucking on her thick lips with passion and**********full as possible is in her mouth. And he just hoped that the woman would be fine if he just kissed her. She wouldn't risk it if Jane suddenly suffocated again as soon as she slipped her hand inside Jane's shirt. He held back all his might to place his hand on Jane's waist and not move anywhere else.

Max lets go of her kiss, she pulls Jane's body to cling to him. Being in his arms. “Thanks. But I can't linger, there's a little bit of trouble in the office and I have to take care of it. Maybe I will be busy the next few days,” His tone is clearly expressing disappointment. He had to solve the problem Dye had reported to him earlier this afternoon, while he was changing clothes.

“What if we go to Ethalos next week. Do you have time?”

“Sounds there. I'm on leave, most likely I'll be unemployed for two weeks, but my manager's leaving so I need a ride if I want to get there.” Jane's voice sounded faint because it blocked the chest field Max attached to his cheek.

“Take it easy. I'll pick you up.”

Slowly Max releases Jane's already heated body, with the weight of Max's heart backing off and passing away. Disappeared just after the door they had passed a moment ago closed and Jane could only see it. It seemed like it was not the right time to have a long chat and to get to know each other.
