Looky. He still arrogantly came here. Is he really shameless. Huu, you little bitch. ******. Look at that shitty face of hers, she still has the guts to come. Shameless. What's on his mind. She thinks she's still the queen of the school huh? Haha, that's funny. Bitch—shameless...

“Hah, hah—huh.” Jane sat on her soft bed. His chest tightened, his breathing quick and out irregular. Making her barely able to breathe, the shock in her head was still very painful as she suddenly woke up from her sleep. Waking up from a nightmare that always comes to him and getting into the flower of sleep and haunting him since the last 10 years.

With trembling hands and a stiff body, Jane grabbed the medicine bottle on the table by her bed. He ate two to three medicinal pills at once in two repetitions, probably more than the five pills he ate. Jane swallowed it as hard as she could without water, hoping to instantly relieve the pain she felt.

His phone rang, a message from the card service went into his phone. The sound that should have been slow became quite loud in the silence of the night that had almost passed. Early in the day, four o'clock in one minute. Jane tried to catch her breath, she laid her body back down. He was still trying his hardest to be able to calm his trembling body and his mind was running around all the time. Until he put her back to sleep.

The sun rises from behind a tall building next to a multi-storey apartment where Jane lives, Los Angeles. He arrived in the city yesterday afternoon, just six o'clock in the afternoon before the sun went down completely. Shortly after the morning sunlight tried to penetrate through the gap of the closed window curtain, someone entered his room.

Shara opened the door after a beep read sign that the coded door key was successfully opened. He greeted Jane to wake her up. Shara Zoel, manager and friend who has been with him since childhood or arguably they have been like brothers until now. The only person Jane has in her life after she lost both her parents when she was seventeen.

Shara put the small black bag she was holding on the sofa, take the remote on the table and press a button that makes the big curtain that closes the window suddenly open by itself to make the sunlight trying to enter can penetrate the glass window with effortlessly. Right illuminated Jane who was still lying on her bed.

Shara called her name several times, but there was no answer. Until she took the initiative to wake Jane up, she gently held onto Jane's tapered cheek. As soon as her palm touched Jane's skin, she immediately pulled her hand back. Like he was touching boiling hot water.

“Hot once,” Shara check again to make sure. From the forehead and on to Jane's neck, hot. It was hot from the normal temperature he had ever felt. Jane's face was so red and her body was shivering, the sweat on her temples made her feel like she had just finished exercising. Although it wasn't the first time she had seen Jane like that, but still her frantic nature couldn't go away.

Shara swiftly returned to pick up her bag on the sofa, picked up her cell phone and contacted someone. The phone call went long enough before someone across the phone answered the call.

“Halo, Dev. You where? Jane suddenly had a fever again. Can you come and help me get him to the doctor?”

Even though his call had been answered but he was still in a panic. And now what made him even more panicked was his interlocutor. It was supposed to be a man but why was the voice he heard was a woman?!

“Oh Shara, yes. Dev is taking a bath, but it seems like he can't help her. He had an important meeting this morning. Can't you contact someone else?!”

Shara who heard it immediately turned off the phone without answering again. He was annoyed yet he could not think of his ego right now. Jane, the model, isn't it. His friend was lying in pain with a high heat in front of him. He had to do something, but it was clear that he would not be able to ask for help from a man who already had a fiancee.

He should think—should. Whoever it is, whoever can—help it. But no one else thought of him. Isn't calling an ambulance too much, but what else he can do besides that. That's his only choice.

[Devan]

With doubt mixed with uneasiness, Shara answered the phone. Male voice, she's relieved.

“Shara. What was? Is Jane okay?”

“Dev. Are you that?”

“Yes. It's me.”

“Dev, Jane is so hot. Looks like he's got a high fever again. I really don't know who to call. Can—”

“Wait for me. Stay with it.”

Tut—tut's. His call was interrupted before Shara could finish her sentence. But he could calm down to hear that someone could help him. Shara returns near Jane, she envelops Jane as fully as possible. And also he wiped the sweat that still kept appearing on Jane's temple. Shara wet a small towel and put it on Jane's forehead, hoping that at least a little of her heat could come down until the person she was calling earlier came. Devan Smith's.

Devan Smith, a director who has had a close relationship with Jane since they first met on campus. Study at the same university and majors, making them close. And now he became a friend and boss of the owner of a fashion company that has many models. And Jane is one of the models in the company led by the man. Although the man already has a potential fiancee and will be engaged this month, his relationship has not changed with Jane and Shara as friends who once knew each other closely.

A beep on the back door rang out, there was a person opening the door. A man rushed in and approached Jane, who was still lying half-conscious on the bed. He pressed his hand against Jane's forehead before lifting her up in a thick blanket that was still firmly attached to her body.

Devan doesn't ask Shara much, she just asks what happened and Shara can only answer not knowing because she slept at her house last night. She is no longer living with Jane, a woman who was married a few months ago will of course sleep with her husband at home.

The man did not get the answer he wanted but something came to his mind, after he saw the medicine bottle on the table open. Panicking, Shara doesn't even realize it.

Devan exited the apartment holding Jane, wrapped in a blanket, into a parked car in front of the building. Followed by Shara behind him.
