The Price Of Sincerity

The Price Of Sincerity
Reasons Why

The window was wide open, the gust of wind whipping through the swaying white curtain. Max closes the door after lowering Jane from her embrace to the edge of the bed. She looked at Jane, looking at the half-naked body of Jane before her. Trying to restrain himself from getting any further and touching the smooth white skin of the woman.

But it turns out he can't. As soon as Jane stood up, she immediately hugged him. Max hugged Jane so tightly, softly and warmly. What she felt was different from how Jane felt. The woman rebelled, she tried to rid herself of Max's arms.

Plaque.

One slap landed on Max's charming slender face. Jane slapped him as soon as she managed to let go of the man's embrace.

“What are you trying to do now?” Jane snapped, her hands shivering. For the first time ever, his tiny hand slapped someone.

The slap didn't hurt Max in the least, he didn't feel any pain. But he felt a deep feeling from the slap marks that still felt like a small sting on his skin. He saw Jane's trembling hand after slapping her. Max smiled slightly, and the slap was forgotten by him.

“Don't come out like this,” said Max when he was about to put his leather jacket back on Jane's shoulder, but immediately pushed aside. Jane avoid.

“Not your business.” Jane took her eyes off Max. “It seems like there is nothing you want to talk about, I have no time to serve you.” Jane walks past Max, but her steps stop immediately as Max grabs her hand and pulls her.

Buk.

Jane was lying on the padded padding of the bed she had been sleeping on just a moment ago. His heel slipped, causing his body to fall backwards. Meanwhile, Max who clasped his wrist was also attracted and fell on Jane's body. Fortunately, his other hand swiftly restrained his body not to hit Jane.

Max and Jane looked at each other for a long time, feeling their breath together in a vacuum that became the gap between their faces. Max saw the sad feeling from Jane's gaze, he really couldn't bear to not kiss her right then and there. But looking at Jane's teary eyes made her undo her intentions.

Cup.

Perhaps one brief kiss that landed on Jane's forehead could represent her passion even a little. “We'll talk later. I have something to make sure before I explain it to you. For now I can't explain anything, seeing you okay is enough for me.”

Geck. Geck.

Someone knocked on the door, one of the men who came with Max stood behind the door and said, “Master, he's downstairs. Did we take him directly?” The voice sounded red but Max could hear it clearly, maybe Jane could hear it too.

Max rose from the top of Jane's body, wearing his leather jacket over the woman's upper body. “Don't dabble out like that, I don't want others to see my woman's body,” Max said before smiling and passing away, disappearing in the open doorway.

My woman?? Who did he mean by woman?!

Jane sat down, she took the jacket off her body. Warm, the scent of Max's body was still left on the jacket that was now in his hands. For some reason she felt better, Jane smiled faintly.

"No. No, Jane. What do you think, he's not a good man." Jane tries to awaken herself not to be captivated by Max's charms. But he was curious about the ‘dia’ that the man behind the door meant. Is there anyone else in that place besides him and Shara?

“Jane, Jane.. Are you okay?” Shara suddenly appeared agitated. And Jane can only nod her head in a sign she's okay. “Hah, great. You know, it turns out the woman who last night was her ex-fiancee. And you know, they suddenly took him away. How about this, do I have to tell her husband? But I don't know which apartment they live in.”

“Shara, what do you mean. Whose woman? Her fiance and husband? I really don't understand. Speak slowly.”

“It. Was he her ex-fiance you meant at the time?” Shara gives Jane her phone. She showed me a message sent by her husband, information about Max. Jane looked at the photo closely, and the woman in the photo was exactly the same as the woman she saw in the frame while at Villa Max.

“Ya, that's him.” Jane nodded. “But what did it have to do with me last night? What do you mean last night there was someone else here?”

“Look, she and her husband helped you last night. The door to her room was locked, so I asked her husband to help me break the door. And that woman helped me get you into my room. And just now he came carrying food, but suddenly the tall, muscular man pulled his hand and they took him away out. Just as I wanted to catch up with him, Max suddenly appeared and stopped me.”

“Hemm. All right, looks like you've already explained the details to me.”

“So do you think he'll be okay?”

“Entahlah. But for sure he won't do anything bad to her,” Jane replied with certainty.

“Wah, you are very sure yes. Rouse suspiction. What were you guys talking about? Are you and him.”.

“Hei. Come on, tell me.” Shara follows Jane, even when Jane is out of the room she still follows her and demands answers. Very ambitious.

Restaurant Gracey, a dining establishment not far from Domaine Santa Giulia Palace. Restaurants that are only filled by a few customers. And Max is one of them, he's sitting in the right corner of the building. He was sitting opposite a woman who seemed to be in a state of awkwardness. The woman who went in with him to that place.

Suddenly in the middle of the silence a servant came and offered a menu to the two. The woman looked silent as she glanced at the servant who was still standing there. He was reluctant to take the food menu that had been placed on the table. Meanwhile, Max chooses food. He occasionally glanced at the woman from behind the book-shaped menu he was holding. Max exhaled slowly before mentioning his order.

“And miss, you want to order what?” ask the waiter to the woman who was with Max. But he didn't answer.

“Same is the order.” Max.

After carrying out his duties, getting orders from customers, the waiter left Max and the woman who had been silent since then. That woman, Rose Alexis. Her ex-fiancee, who is now the wife of someone else.

“Is there nothing you want to say to me?” Finally Max breaks the silence between them and invites the woman to speak after a long silence since leaving Jane's apartment. Max glanced at a ring around Rose's ring finger before the woman covered it with her other hand. The ring that was different from the last one he saw was circular on that finger.

“I'm sorry.”

Two words came out of the woman's mouth, she lowered her head not daring to look at Max who was before her. For some reason he did leave the man, but in others he felt guilty about something else. Hearing that sentence, Max crossed his arms on the table and said, “I'm not here to hear an apology from you. Why?”

Rose's head instantly lifted as soon as Max asked a second time. The reason why she left him was, the reason why there was a ring that was not from her coiled around her finger and the reason why she could do that with another man. But Max did not get the answer, Rose just looked down and fell silent.

Crackling.

Max couldn't stand it, he had been trying to hold back his emotions from earlier and subconsciously he hit the table which had the attention of the people fixed on him for some time.

“Why? Is everything I've given you not enough? I even granted your request to release the man just like that, without the slightest suspicion of you. Butwhy? We. you and I haven't even done it yet, and you.. Now married? You married that man instead of me. Is that your wedding ring with her?”

The brief nod felt faint from Rose's head movements. Max clenched his hands tightly, very tightly. Attempting to hold himself back did not throw the punch to the table or to the wall, as he was unlikely to hit a woman. He took his breath and exhaled it heavily.

“Can't I get an excuse from you? You can tell me if you want something, I'll give it to you right away. Whatever it is, do you want the wealth I can give it to you, or do you want a child? I can give it to you too. Or that ring, I can even give you hundreds or thousands of such rings. Even better than that. Or are you going to discuss sincerity? Alright. Howmany? What price should I pay back then for your sincerity?”

Rose who had been silent and did not speak suddenly stood up, she looked at Max furiously. Finally their eyes met long enough before a man came and pulled Max's collar. He hit Max, twice hit. “Are you still not hurting him enough, ha?” said the man.

“Darling, what are you doing. Release him.” Rose surprised. He is shocked when a man suddenly appears between them, Rose pulls him away from Max. Her husband is Dominic Carl.

The waiter who had just been at the table was an acquaintance of his, it was fortunate that the waiter did not immediately greet him because Rose glanced at him and gave the code through his hands while Max was busy choosing food. She did not expect her husband would come sooner than she expected.

Instead of whimpering from the pain on his face, Max smiled cynically instead. “Honey? Hah” murmured slowly.

Suddenly Max stood up, he walked over towards the man who had just hit him.

“I hurt him? From the beginning until this second I did not even scratch even the slightest wound on him. Even I didn't let him get hurt in the slightest, and now you're suddenly coming and saying I hurt him? Are you crazy? Ah, ja. No, don't you feel proud after seizing someone else's fiancee? Feeling great after screwing and impregnating her? You, loser. Lowlife loser yang—. ”

Plaque.

One slap landed on Max's face, the second slap he received on the same day. Makes himself recall Jane's slap he received a while ago. And now Rose slapped him.

“You're outrageous Max, look at yourself before judging others. Although he is not as rich and as great as you are, he has a heart. He has genuine affection and knows how to treat women, not like a bankbook you always fill with your money. Do you still want to ask me why? You can guess it yourself. It's all because of you, Max.. Because you?!”

Max was silent for a moment before smiling faintly at the words Rose had spoken to him. Rose pulled her husband and went out of the restaurant, the three of them being the center of attention who diverted the lunches of the people there.
