The Price Of Sincerity

The Price Of Sincerity
Men In The Past

“You are beautiful tonight,” praise Dye while giving a glass of wine to Jane who just sat down.

“Hemm, thanks.” Jane smiled as she took the glass out of Dye's hand. But he just looked at her, not daring to drink it. He was afraid that he would lose his mind again and do nothing there.

Drrtts. Drtts. Dye's phone vibrated on the table.

“Wait a minute, you guys chat lah.” Dye went to the corner of the room. Leaving Jane with an unknown man. The man was handsome but not as handsome as Max and Devan, probably falling into the standard category due to his slightly brownish skin. Sweet black guy. At first they were silent before the man asked him to speak.

“Do you not know me?” ask the man to her.

“Hemm, apparently,. sorry.. “ Jane speaks as decently as possible, not wanting to hurt her interlocutor. The man did seem familiar to him, but he was not sure he knew the man.

“Really? Haha” Alex chuckles. He looked at Jane from top to bottom. “You changed a lot huh, Momo.” The man smiled, he stared at Jane's chest through the gap between the suits hanging on her body.

Momos..

Jane was trembling. The name made his whole body tremble. His blood seemed to be speeding very fast in his recovery, and at that very moment his breath was restrained because of the man's gaze on him. Jane held the wine glass in her hand very tightly. Not many called her by that name, her little name. Even Shara doesn't call Jane by that name anymore. That's him, the man in his past. Jane remembered. It's just that in her memory the man's skin was brighter than it is now, Jane didn't expect it.

Alex Miller is Max's identical twin brother. They were born five minutes apart, and Max was born. He's been in Italy all this time, and only arrived a few days ago in Los angeles. She brought her body closer to Jane, making her face very close to the woman.

“Momo... You're so beautiful now, I think I misidentified you when I saw you here a week ago. It turns out it was you.” Alex stroked Jane's face gently, and her other hand was on Jane's thigh. He stroked the thigh, making Jane instantly sweat cold with a touch that touched her skin.

No, he can't stand that. But his body did not want to move, his breath seemed to no longer want to come out. He really can't do anything. Suddenly the image of Max's face appeared in his head, filling the entire space in his mind.

“Do you still not recognize me? Do I need to do it again to make you remember my Momo?”

Jane looked at Alex with a sharp look and her eyes began to glaze over. And what he got from that man was the disgusting look he had seen ten years ago. Jane clasped the wine glass so tightly, before splashing it into the face of the man now in front of her.

Sontak makes Alex immediately make distance with Jane. He looked at Jane with a tangled look on his face, meanwhile with his hands still trembling, he pushed the man with all his might and quickly picked up a bottle of wine that was on the table.

Prangs.

Jane threw the bottle to the floor, creating a loud noise and shards of glass everywhere, creating a puddle of wine. Dye who was on the phone immediately turned off her call and walked over to Jane.

But there was already one piece of pointy glass shards in Jane's hand, she directly pointed it at Dye who was walking closer to her with her hand still shaking violently. Of course the glass made Dye's steps stop and slowly step back.

“Jane, what happened. Relax, it's dangerous.” Dye was trying to make sense of the situation, Alex was lying on the floor with a wet face. “What have you done to him?”

Meanwhile, the door opened. Max and Devan go in and rush to Jane. Both of their steps came to a halt as Jane pointed the end of the glass she held to her neck.

Max pulled the collar of the man's shirt to make him stand straight in front of him. “What did you do to him, ha?”

“I? I didn't do anything. Didn't you deliberately bring her here to have fun with us? To please—.”

Buk. One hard blow from Max made the man's face instantly hurt. “Do not try to touch it.”

Instead of being silent, Alex just smiled cynically. He looked at Jane again. “I've even touched his whole body, even—ah I remember once back then... very narrow, did you enjoy it Momo?”.

Max frowned at the remark, and for the second time the collar of the man's shirt was within his grasp but now coupled with a rude impulse from him, “What are you saying, say it is clear.”

“You don't remember either? Did you forget I almost died when I was beaten up by dad? It was because of that woman, father beat me mercilessly. If it wasn't for mom stopping him I wouldn't be here right now.” Alex raised his voice.

“So you mean, that time girl—.” Max glanced at Jane, the woman's face looking very frustrated with the tears that kept flowing down her cheeks. “You crazy bastard, jerk.”

Buk. Buk. Buk.

The punch landed on the face and stomach of the man in front of Max. Devan quickly grabs Jane's hand and makes the glass shards in her hand fall as soon as the woman's gaze is turned on Max.

Devan hugged Jane, calming her down for a while before taking her out of the room. While Dye is confused what to do. On one side Max appears to be on the cusp of anger, while on the other side Devan is already carrying Jane and disappears from his sight. He should also leave from there.

Drop by drop of blood fell to the floor, the man who was beaten by Max looked battered with many bruises and cuts on his face. It even made the man vomit blood, it could not. He can't let the man die and make Max a murderer. Quickly and with all her might she pulls Max and keeps him away from Alex who has passed out unconscious.

“Stop, are you crazy? You're gonna kill him.”

“He deserves to die, this bastard can't be let, you know that. If my mom hadn't saved him and hadn't fought with my dad, they wouldn't have been in an accident.”

“Hei. Relax, I know. I know how you feel. But that's enough, now calm down. Okay.”

Max breaks away from Dye, who is holding her back, and turns her eyes to where Jane was standing just a moment ago. “Where's Jane?”

“Dev took him.” Answer Dye briefly.

“Sial.” Max immediately rushed out of the room with a still fiery rage, leaving Dye with a dying Alex.

“Hey, where are you going. How about him this.” Dye glanced at the unconscious Alex near her feet. He crouched down and placed his index finger under the man's nose, still breathing.
