Chapter 40: The Beginning

1 month later.

The condition of the village is getting worse, many villagers are forced to hunt even though they know they have to risk their lives in the middle of the forest. Naura and Legarde were forced to help them hunt, it was a payment for living in the village territory, they had no other choice.

Meanwhile in a small hut. The scorching heat made Hela bored. He could only fill the time by flowing cooling magic into his own body. Naura forbade him to enter the forest because of the bandits who were still wandering around.

Hela was already unable to contain herself, she came out of the small hut to look for the Hornet Rabbit. Hela used the rabbit to practice her magic. He ran through the trees and jumped between the rocks with his little legs. Hela's physical strength had improved greatly since receiving the training from Naura, her small body was not an obstacle at all for now.

Hela slowly slowed down.

There's energy, there's someone here.

"Stealth." Hela uses magic that can make her invisible and eliminate her presence.

He drifted from one tree to another, the distance getting closer.

That's them!

There were 3 adult men with large swords on their backs. Their bodies were very stocky, they looked like bandits.

Hela kept coming closer to hear their conversation.

"Attacking will be done soon,"

"How long is it going to be exactly?"

"I don't know, however, 'he' will give you a signal soon."

What are they talking about? The assault?

Hela grew curious and kept approaching them.

"By the way, 'he' you mean that's the serial killer, right?"

"You're right, I don't think the boss used the services of that terrible killer, he didn't look at friends or enemies at all,"

"Stop wasting time! We bury that thing now and get out of here!"

One of them took out a small pouch the size of an adult's fist. The small pouch was made of cloth, tied with a rope.

"Quick the grave."

They buried that little bag. Before leaving, the bandits checked the situation.

"Safe."

One of them tore a small piece of paper. Magic circles appeared under their feet.

*clink!

They disappeared along with the magic circle.

Hela was very surprised to see the magic.

This was the first time Hela had seen teleportation magic, she planned to ask Legarde about the magic she saw.

Hela headed straight to where the small pouch was buried. His little hands started digging the ground quickly.

"What is this thing?" Hela shook the small pouch in front of her face.

It was humming magic energy, Hela sensed the magic energy. He was very curious about the contents of the small pouch, but his instinct told him not to open the pouch.

Hela was really worried, she was very curious about the contents of the small pouch.

"Ah, I'll open it!"

Hela's hand was ready to pull the rope, but ....

*bush!

A strong wind pushed him. The blast came from outside the border.

*bum!

Hela felt a terrifying aura after that gust of wind.

His body trembled, he had never felt such a terrifying aura.

Hela paused her intentions and immediately left the place. He continued to run even though his knees were still trembling due to that terrifying aura.

"Naura, Legard!" He kept calling out the names of the two of them to fight his fear.

Hela did not realize that she had been very far away before leaving the small hut and entering through the middle of the forest. It was like crying loudly, but Hela could not do that and kept screaming for her two friends.

That terrifying aura continued to chase after him.

Hela continued to run with all her might, the fear experienced made Hela forget about her magic rapes, Hela could only rely on her physical and mental for now.

*bruk!

Hela fell down because she could not withstand the intense pressure.

His little hand was still clutching the small pouch, he could only look towards the pouch. Her consciousness began to disappear, and eventually Hela fainted with magic energy enveloping her body.

The small pouch in his hand suddenly opened, stone pebbles coming out of the small pouch. The pebble floated right in front of Hela's unconscious face.

The pebble slowly expanded into magic energy. Hela's magic energy responded and absorbed the magic energy from the pebbles. Hela's body let out hot steam, sweat poured out, her face flushed red.

 ------------------------------

Far beyond the borders of human territory, the small headquarters of Red Heart. The three bandits had previously reached this headquarters, however ....

*Shelf!

Blow smashed a wooden table.

"Basic stupid! How can you be so careless?! It disappeared shortly after you left!"

The boss who led the small headquarters scolded them all out.

"Pardon us, Boss! We were sure that no one was there!"

"How dare trash like you yell at me!"

*bugh!

A loud punch was thrust right into the faces of the three of them.

The boss was very agitated at the loss of such an important object.

Goddamnit! It belongs to the Dark Claw! We will surely die! May the Leader protect us.

*No No No No

There were footsteps from the darkness.

The people in that place already knew who would come from behind that darkness.

The boss immediately knelt down facing the shadow.

"I heard my things are gone" said a voice from within the shadows.

The voice of that person echoed, faintly, no one knew what the gender of the owner of the voice was.

Dark Claws, he's here.

The boss was terrified, death was before him at this moment.

"That's an important item from my hometown, even I was willing to sacrifice my life to get it. But, you guys easily removed that thing,"

The pressure of the aura emitted was so intense, that it made some people faint instantly.

"Pardon our carelessness, please give us time to look for him again, sir,"

"Free, it's gone,"

"W-What do you mean, sir?"

"Someone has absorbed it. Looks like the plan this time will be pushed back until I can find that thing again."

The bandits were greatly relieved that the person did not scold them, that was how they felt before ....

*crack!

"Goddessa!"

The bodies of everyone in the room were cut into small pieces in the blink of an eye.

"Basic of lowly men! There is no more such thing in this world!"

Slowly the mysterious form came out of the darkness. Iron claws appeared followed by his hands and body. A pair of horns adorned his head. He did not wear a top that covered his body, so that his bright white skin seemed to shine, and his burly body looked dashing. His body had many tattoos made of blood, adding a sinister impression to him.

"I'm tired of doing this charade. However, this was the plan of the Demon King, and also the only plan that could be done without sacrificing the Devils."

The man sighed.

"That thing .. I'm surprised that there are people who can absorb it, what kind of person is he? The Demon King said he wanted to gather human mana with that thing. Well, in the end I'm sure I'll meet the person who absorbed that thing."

He was Coros, one of the 12 Demon Lords of the time.
