Chapter 45: The Trial to Restore Strength

*duaar!

The room we were arrested in exploded.

Delila put me in a ball-like shield.

Who did this?

Only our room was damaged, the explosion was designed just to blow this room up. No effect received by other rooms.

This surprised me a little, Delila only realized shortly before this room exploded. That guy seems strong.

"Mom's okay?"

"Yes. By the way, who's the one who attacked us?"

We got out of the room. The explosion left a huge hole in the 2nd floor, it would be very troublesome to fight inside.

My attention was on the shadow of someone on the ground. Delila and I looked up.

Someone was floating in the air while looking at us. He had a human-like appearance, but his right hand resembled a dragonewt, part of his body had scales.

"I managed to find the stalkers" he said.

This guy, it looks like he's Ghad, a familiar belonging to the Head of the Academy. He realized the eavesdropping portals and followed the flow of his magic all the way here.

"We're not your enemy."

Delila can certainly clear up this misunderstanding.

Ghad went down by flapping his wings.

He reminds me of Raymond.

"No explanation is needed, you must be the leader of the insects. The moves you're showing are very suspicious,"

We cannot rule that out, there is no reason for us not to see the situation outside. There's no reason I can convince her.

"Give yourself up, there's no point in fighting back, you'll never be able to beat me" he continued.

Ghad directed his killing aura at the both of us. Even through my protection.

Delila seemed unaffected, she was just acting as if the aura was pressing down on her body. Earlier, I told him not to be careless after the aura battle with the Head of the Academy back then.

"I don't know what your motives really are, but, you guys have already made a huge mistake by making a fuss in the Mystick Kingdom."

Ghad grabbed my shirt and pulled me into his arms. Our faces face each other. His hand went through the protector that covered me.

Full of scales, it seemed like he had not been able to change with a fully human form.

On the other hand, I glanced at Delila whose face was so scary. His eyes were wide open, the veins on his forehead were clearly visible.

I gave him a sign not to act rashly.

"The weak."

*bruk!

Ghad.

I kept pacifying Delila not to overdo it.

"Hey! We have nothing to do with this!" shout Delila.

"We are under the protection of the Queen of the Mystick Kingdom, Hela Naura Legarde," I said.

"Omong empty. I can't feel his presence anywhere, what exactly are you planning?"

This bastard, he's getting a misunderstanding with us.

"Whatever you say, you'll regret this rash act of yours."

 ---------------------------

Half an hour had passed, there was no sign of the rebels coming here.

Ghad's face looked anxious, he continued to maintain his pride like a dragon in general.

"I-I'll check the palace!" Ghad immediately left while covering his shy face.

You fucking lizard. Who will pay for the room repairs?!

"Delila, I told you to hold back, didn't I?"

"M-sorry, Mother. But, who wouldn't be angry if his mother was treated like that?"

Ah ... he's right. I felt ashamed when I heard this little girl.

"Eheem ... well, but, it's forbidden to go overboard, okay?"

"Good, Mommy."

It seems like we can't spy on them, I have to see the condition of the palace directly. I don't know anything else, I hope they're okay.

Before we set foot, we felt two auras colliding with each other. The aura came from Ghad's destination, the palace. One of the auras was indeed the same as Ghad's aura. However, I don't know who the other aura belongs to.

"Gate's." Delila used Gate's magic to go towards the palace.

We had reached the palace, more precisely in one of the large buildings not far from the palace. It would be risky if we went straight there without knowing who exactly the enemy we were fighting was.

The halam palace. Ghad is strangling someone. There was some damage at the site, signaling that there had been a brief fight between Ghad and the man he was giggling with.

"That guy, he's a Vampire" Delila said.

"How high?"

"898."

It was quite a high level, almost on par with Shishaa. But, it was strange if he was defeated so easily by Ghad. Judging from his level, he should be able to put up a fight. Ghad lived from the time the Head of the Academy was a child, the experience never lies.

No, wait a minute. Looks like the Vampire has still not given up.

The empty courtyard was suddenly filled with blood. This is a blood control technique belonging to the Vampire race.

Ghad throws the Vampire into the pillar of the palace. His hand was covered in blood from the Vampire.

The blood clots gathered together to form an object like a huge spear.

That's Blood Spear. A blood spear that would continue to attack its target. It is a level 8 magic. It's surprising, it's so rare to see it.

The spear drifted, attacking Ghad by blindly stabbing. Of course Ghad dodged the attack easily, however, the spear would splash blood on Ghad.

Ghad was uncomfortable with blood on his body.

To my knowledge, that blood will slowly deplete Ghad's HP. It could be called an invisible attack, as Ghad was unaware that the blood was causing his HP to decrease. And there was another effect after that.

The fight still continued, the man got up and attacked Ghad from the other side.

I can't hear their voices from here. If we use CCTV, maybe Ghad will attack us again.

Puddles of blood circled Ghad like a tornado.

Those bloods, he must have gotten them from the corpses all over the city.

Ghad jumped out through the blood tornado.

A lot of blood covered his entire body.

"He's here."

Ghad landed on the roof of the same building as us.

Huuh ...he's like he just finished a blood bath. My stomach's nauseous.

"You guys?" Ghad is aware of our whereabouts.

"Looks like you're making amends, huh?"

"You ...." Ghad turned his face in shame.

Kukuku ... You don't even apologize to us. I'll make this an excuse to drop your pride, Ghad!

"Eheem .. By the way what are you doing here?" Ghad walked towards us.

Delila wanted to get in the way, but I held her back and I also got close to Ghad.

"We're just wondering why so much blood is heading to the palace."

Of course it's a lie. I can't say that we feel your aura. If my guess is correct, the aura is not shown to others, we are too sensitive to feel their aura. My sensibilities are slowly starting to return.

"You better get out of here, I don't want you to stop me,"

"Don't worry about ka-"

The blood on Ghad's body shone.

Damnit damnit!

*Out!

Big explosions happen.

"Mother!"

I heard Delila's screams even vaguely.

Huh uh? I can't feel my body, does Delila protect me with her magic?

No, I felt the pain afterwards. The explosion, I was hit by the explosion.

Delila caught me and took me downstairs.

My body hurts so much, I don't know what my body is like right now. I could only see Delila's face filled with anger.

"Hey! I told you to get out of this place!" shouts Ghad faintly.

"Haha! Turns out you brought a weakling by your side!"

It was the voice of a vampire.

"I'll kill you both."

My consciousness, I must maintain my consciousness. Delila's out of control. I could see a blue light shining brightly in his eyes.

"Aghhh!"

It seemed like he was releasing an aura of intimidation, as I heard the two men moaning.

What am I supposed to do now? Damn, my head is so dizzy.

Connect ....
