Chapter 62: Deciding on Choices
"Young Master, the representative of the Holy Church, Mr. Neno has arrived." The voice was heard from outside the room, right behind the door.
"Send him in."
The door opened, a brownish-haired man entered the room. His face was clearly visible, wearing one green fur earring.
She ... A neno?
Justin was surprised to see the appearance of Neno who turned out to be young and handsome. It immediately irritated him for a moment.
Justin came to a conclusion after Neno showed herself.
His previous appearance looked like an old man, covering his face in a white robe. He's not using a disguise, I think it has something to do with how important this talk is.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Justin," Neno said in a soft tone.
His voice was so gentle to a man, Justin thought this man was not a real man.
Impossible, this person was even deeply immersed in his role as a grumpy old man before. Maybe this ....
"Can I sit down?" asked Neno in a similar tone.
Justin was increasingly doubting the manhood of this man.
"Please. It's probably gonna be a long talk."
"Then can you get these ants out of this room?" neno asked back with a smile.
Justin almost stood up from his seat after hearing that.
He was aware of the assassin hiding with a high-level skill. I had expected this bastard was indeed not a careless person, considering that he had once exuded a terrifying aura during that meeting.
"All of you, go."
The entire assassin went out of the room without a word. A high-level hiding skill that others could easily detect, it shook them slightly.
Justin thrust out a file containing a list of weapons on the table. He only took the top ten list of weapons which were limited items.
Four of them are produced by the Maphas Witch Kingdom. I hesitated to show him these four weapons, even more so he asked for a "friendly" price".
Neno saw the list of weapons on the file. His eyes looked meticulous as he examined them, his posture was also very graceful. Once again Justin doubted the gender of this person.
"I just need this." None pointed to a weapon on the list.
"Ah, that's a hard weapon to use for the first time, maybe you should start practicing hard."
"This "small weapon is perfect for close combat, even more so for an assassin. What's the name of this gun?"
"Kukris."
Kukri is a knife-type weapon that is slightly larger than a regular knife. It has a curved shape with an enlarged and very sharp part in the arch of the top. A knife used to slash and make enemies die in one attack, even die instantly.
It's a very terrible knife, I've seen slash marks that are likely to be very difficult to stitch back, it takes even more mana for healers to disguise their scars. One of the undead kingdom's masterpieces.
Justin is aware of something.
Wait, he said to the assassin? He asked for a cheaper price with another benefit for me. It was likely that the Holy Church knew nothing about this, no, she had blatantly filed this meeting right near her bodyguards who were Holy Church people.
"You don't have to think that hard, Mr. Justin." Neno approached Justin. "I will officially introduce myself from now on. My name is Eiden Reiya, better known as the Saint of Extermination."
"Eh?" Justin was silent in a thousand languages after learning the identity of Neno who was a saint.
I didn't hear wrong, Saint Crush? The strongest saint among the twelve saints now remaining eleven saints. Saint Extinguisher was famous for his combat strength which was equivalent to a thousand elite soldiers of the kingdom. He was able to fight the dragon, but that was only a rumor because he did not participate in the dragon's suppression at that time. He is depicted with a dashing figure, but this ....
"Eheem .. I didn't expect the Saint Crude to come alone to this meeting."
No mistake, he's real.
"I'm looking for something here" said Eiden.
"Who are you looking for?"
"The man who named himself Red Own."
Justin narrowed his eyes, placing suspicion on Eiden.
Justin is confused as to what he wants to answer, he doubts if the saint has bad intentions on Red Own.
"Your doubts are clearly visible in my eyes." Eiden looked at Justin with a seductive look. "Calm down, I didn't mean anything bad. I have business with him, of course business. We had a conversation, but I lost track of him right after he offered me something. However, I received information he was here."
He must be talking about caoy.
Justin throws a package at the table. He looks proud and confident doing just that.
I'm not letting you meet with Mister. Only someone like me has the right to see him.
"Oho, right, this thing that my subordinates have tried. So he's really here, huh?"
Justin shook his head. "Mr Red Own just left town yesterday, but I made a business deal with this thing."
Justin lied because of his pride.
Eiden sighed, his face looking grim. "It's a pity that he's my type."
Justin is getting amused to see the abnormalities that Eiden has.
"Well, it doesn't matter, this is what I'm looking for."
Justin did not understand, caoy did not have a useful effect for battle, it was just an item used to get out of "reality" for a while. But the effect is indeed very influential, even on S rank adventurers like Alissa Hart who fainted a while after using it.
I don't care about that, now I can spread caoy to other kingdoms through Eiden. I will be rich and may be able to make the City of Mediator into a kingdom.
Justin gave Eiden a blank. A deal between a buyer and a seller. The seller will give the blank paper to the buyer who wants to buy a lot on one kind of item. The buyer will offer the best price until both agree.
This method is indeed prevalent in trade, this is to eliminate awkwardness so that both parties feel free to write prices until they agree. Talking is just a waste of time, long-winded, and the percentage of nullity is increasing. Therefore, blank paper is a way to directly focus on the main point.
Deal made.
"This is the price I can offer right now."
Justin was a little surprised by the nominal offered. He thought Eiden didn't have enough money to do this. But the estimate is wrong.
He doesn't just rely on his muscles to make money.
"All right, we agreed."
A deal was made. Distributing the caoy out of the region was a success thanks to Eiden's help. Justin no longer needed to bother to trick the higher-ups.
Eiden took the offer paper they had filled in before, he wrote something behind the empty paper.
Justin was curious as to what the man had written, until Eiden returned the paper.
"This is the real function of the caoy, I wrote down how it works here, you should be able to use it in the crucial moment" Eiden said.
"Is this really real?"
"Depends on your belief."
Even Mr. Red Own didn't tell me about this. I don't know why, I feel like I've lost a lot to this guy.
Eiden stood up from his seat. "All right, I'm gonna step down, Mr. Justin. It's not good if I'm in this place too long. You can send it through my subordinates who will settle here."
"Thank you for your cooperation, Saint Eiden."
Eiden smiled as he clasped a small object in his hand. Soon a magic circle appeared under his feet and took him away from the place.
"Item teleportation, huh? It seems like he really left this town."
Justin sighed and leaned on his couch. "really exhausting. Hmmm ... Where are those two fools? I haven't heard from them since this morning."
Justin's expression changed, an expression filled with lust and greed. "I'm really looking forward to you, Alissa Hart. This time I'll really enjoy you."
Elsewhere, Eiden appears in a room with minimal lighting. Hundreds of people stood in a prepared manner before him.
Eiden smiled haru, but what was in his head was inversely proportional to his smile.
I can definitely shift you from top position, Saint Luna.
Connect ....
