120. Invitation

“Nona Ethelyne? Where are you from?”

Ethelyne who was walking while sneaking around was startled by a voice that suddenly appeared behind her, she turned her head and grinned. “Oh, hay Meli. Why are you here?”

Meli was silent for a moment. “Oh this, I deliver food to Her Majesty Queen's room.”

Ethelyne nodded her head in understanding. “Means Kathel is in her room right?”

“Sorry, Miss. But His Majesty is not in his room, that's why I brought this food back.”

Ethelyne's face turned disappointed. “Yeah, what a pity. I wanted to meet him. But never mind, I'm going to my room.” He turned around and waved his hand, the look on his face turned flat. ‘Kathel actually went where? For some reason, I've been having a hard time meeting her lately, has something happened?’ Ethelyne smiled. ‘I must be too worried, after all Kathel is the Queen of darkness, there is no way she can be defeated so easily. I better think of how I can sneak into the palace.’

The days went by boringly, for Ethelyne. Over the course of a week, Kathelyne goes missing and Ethelyne is forced to take over her heaping job.

During the week too, Ethelyne could only sleep 2 hours each day. Not only him, the subordinates of Kathelyne were the same. They are even worse, working every day without a break or just breathing fresh air.

“Enough, I'm fed up!” Ethelyne stood up while throwing the pen in her hand, she stared at Laurie and Vio in annoyance. “Can't you help me at all?? Look at this dark circle under my eyes! You are completely heartless!”

“I don't understand anything about the demon kingdom, how can I help master?” laurie asked reasoned.

“Sorry, Miss. But I cannot help you much because our contract bond is not strong, moreover, I do not understand the contents of those documents at all,” replied Vio firmly.

Ethelyne stared at the two resignedly, she sat down and propped up her chin while opening the document in front of her boredly.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door.

Ethelyne glanced at Laurie.

“Yaampun master, I am lazy to move.”

Ethelyne stared at Laurie flat, she turned her gaze towards Vio. The man seemed to avoid his gaze, yet. Not for a minute.

Vio sighed. “Good, good. I'll open the door.” He walked to the door and opened it. “What's up?”

“Sorry to disturb, Sir. But there is an invitation from the kingdom of Man.”

Ethelyne who was playing the pen in her hand glanced at Vio who received the invitation and again closed the door, the man seemed to read the invitation at a glance.

“What's up? Invitation from whom?” ethelyne asked as she noticed the change in Vio's countenance.

The man looked at Ethelyne with a strange look, he walked quickly towards Ethelyne's table and handed the invitation without saying a word.

Though overwhelmed by confusion, Ethelyne took the invitation and opened it. He was instantly stunned when he saw the name listed on the invitation. ‘Cannot..’.

Vio stepped back until he reached beside Laurie who looked curious about the contents of the invitation.

“What is it?” murmured Laurie.

Vio glanced at Laurie at a glance, he approached and whispered.

Laurie who heard that immediately rounded her eyes, she looked at Ethelyne in shock. “M-master..”.

Ethelyne stood up from her seat. “Let's attend, this wedding invitation.”

“But master--”

“Back, Laurie, Vio.”

Laurie and Vio are unable to refuse orders, both disappearing and leaving only a slight trace of magic.

Not until a second after the two were gone, Ethelyne again sat in her chair, she slumped her face onto the table, silently crying. ‘Why..’.

The palace is beautifully decorated and magnificent.

Meanwhile, in another room. A beautiful girl was dressed beautifully. A gold dress with the same colored lace, her hair styled in such a way that it looks like a queen.

“Wah, you are so beautiful. Miss Sela,” compliment a waitress.

“Ah, really? It's all thanks to you guys, you dress me up so beautifully. Thank you.” Sela, the fiancee of the 7th prince, Eadric. Now smile thin, sweet and impressed graceful.

“You could have, but all this because Miss is very pretty, any dress looks to suit you. Even without any makeup, you are already like a Goddess, no, even more.”

Sela gave a small chuckle, she lowered her head with a sad look. “If I were that pretty, Prince Eadric would definitely not ignore me.”

“That's not true, Miss. I'm sure, His Highness the prince did not mean to ignore you, he must have been just too busy so rarely to meet you,” entertain other servants.

Sela looked up and smiled. “Iya.”

“Don't be cold so.” A man who was none other than Zachary shrugged his shoulders indifferently, he looked at Eadric who was being dressed. “Ethelyne has long since disappeared, but that doesn't mean he's really gone, right? “Eadric shit!!” Shouts accompanied by quick footsteps made the two men turn their heads.

Aliya walked in with an angry look, she walked towards Eadric and grabbed the collar of the man's shirt with her tiny hands. “What do you mean huh?!”

“What did you say?” ask Eadric flat.

“Stop pretending you don't know! Why would you marry that witch?! He was just pretending to be gentle! He's even worse than monster-”

“Enough!” interrupted Eadric with a high tone of voice, he brushed aside Aliya's hand and looked at the girl flat. “On what basis did you interfere in my affairs?”

“What's the basis?” Aliya. “About basis I'm your step-sister!”

“Step sister?” Eadric laughed, he pointed at Zachary. “My biological sister just doesn't take care of my business!” Eadric approached and whispered. “Slowly people like you don't deserve to interfere in my business, don't think just because your mother became my father's concubine, you became my equal. Remember this, Aliya. Until anytime, you will still be a lowly people that I can trample as I please!” he said with emphasis.

“You! Don't insult my mother!”

“Heh, why?” Eadric distanced himself from Aliya, he crossed his chest and looked at Aliya lowly. “Don't what I said be true, you are. Only lowly people.”

“Shut!” Aliya raised her hand and was about to slap Eadric, but the result...
