The Queen Of The Demon World

The Queen Of The Demon World
98. Escape From the Kingdom

“Marilyn, you think. Am I pretty?” ethelyne asked as she showed off the sea blue dress she was wearing, she stood in front of the mirror twirling her dress with a fluffy smile.

“Very! You are always beautiful in any dress, Princess!” praise Marilyn with a look of amazement.

Ethelyne chuckles. “True, I'm so happy that Marilyn has been willing to be my servant all this time. Marilyn, thank you yes.”

“What do you say, Princess. It is precisely me who is very grateful for being able to serve the Princess as well as you, usually. A noble will treat his subordinates arbitrarily, but you never act rudely to us.”

“Long.” Ethelyne puffed her cheeks in annoyance. “But yesterday I shouted at Marilyn while bringing food. Marilyn, I'm really sorry. I still can't accept an engagement with a stranger, let alone a prince I've never met.”

“I understand how you feel, Princess. I also felt the same way, if only the Princess had not helped me at that time. It's possible I've been sold by my parents.”

Ethelyne turned around and hugged Marilyn. “Marilyn, boho~ why did Erik cancel our engagement? Does he hate me? Has she cheated since the beginning??”

“That's not true, Mr. Princess.” Marilyn was eager to explain the truth, yet she had no courage at all. Marilyn could only shut up and calm Ethelyne who was crying a mouthful.

‘Indeed just acting anyway, but why does my chest really hurt? Nyut, mrs. It feels like being stabbed by a knife many times.’ Ethelyne sank into her daydream for a moment, she regained her senses upon hearing the sound of knocking on the door. Ethelyne quickly took off her embrace and wiped away her tears. “Sorry yes. Marilyn, I'm such a crybaby. Let's hurry to the hall.” He walked out of the room first and left Marilyn who was still standing still in front of the mirror.

“This is not your fault, Princess. After all, you're still a teenager. You shouldn't have experienced all this.” Marilyn clenched her hands full of regret. “I'm sorry for not being able to help the Princess at all.”

“Gawat, Your Majesty!! The Princess is not in her room!” report a soldier in haste.

“What?” Fiona who was in the middle of the self immediately stood up from her chair, she stared at the reflection of the mirror with a face holding back in anger. “How can Lyne escape?! Have you been looking for him all over the palace?!”

“K-we've been looking for him, Your Majesty. But we were unable to find the Princess, our-” The soldier instantly grimaced when he heard the sound of broken glass, he timidly looked forward.

Fiona stood in front of the shards of the pot with a dead red face, she walked out of her room. “Tell the King and order all the soldiers to search the whole country! If you don't meet, you'll die!!”

“B-good.”

~~~♥~~~
“Are you sure you won't get caught?”
“Take it easy, Lady. We will escort you out of this world safely.”
“Hopefully.” Ethelyne had her chest crossed, she was now wearing the clothes of a man with a hat covering her face. Her appearance was really similar to that of a man with a little makeup.
“Lady, are you worried?”
Ethelyne turned towards William, she smiled. “No, I don't care at all. I just ... feel very happy to meet 'with him' in person.”
“Do you want me to tell you what your Dark Soul does when you're not around?”
“Mau! I really want to! Quickly tell!”
“Well, where should we start?” William looked at Murry and Eadric who were just silent expressionlessly, he sighed.
“Tell me after I left, what did he do? Is he sad?” Ethelyne turned her gaze towards Eadric who was speechless pensively while continuing to look at him. “Eadric, what Soul-I mean. Ethel treated you well?” He looked at her with squeaking eyes. “He didn't let you starve right?”
Eandric regained his senses from his daydream, he looked at Ethelyne with a faint smile. “He did as you wanted.”
“Hah, thank goodness.” Ethelyne breathed a sigh of relief. “If he dares to hurt you, then he will get my anger! He's always been acting arbitrarily since a long time ago, you stupid girl!”
“You guys look familiar ya.”
“You must be hassles yes, Lady.”
“Be-”
“Stop the horse carriage!”
Ethelyne no longer continued, her face turned flat. “That's Sir Leo's voice, I didn't think they'd be so quick to the border,” he muttered.
“Who is inside?”
“Begini, Lord knight. The person inside is a guest from the kingdom of Victoria,” said the coachman.
“Victoria Kingdom? What do you mean the prince and his aide? Has His Majesty allowed them to return??”
“I don't know, please see for yourself.”
Leo walked to the back of the horse-drawn carriage and opened the blocking curtains.
“What's up? Sir Leo, you can't possibly disturb the prince of the Victorian kingdom right?” William looked at Leo with a faint smile that seemed trivial.
“Sorry, Mr. Wil. But I want to know if you've got permission to return to Victoria, you have to remember. It's in Gezeweith kingdom, you can't come and go as you please.”
“Yes, we've got His Majesty's permission. Here's the letter.” William gave me a piece of paper.
Leo took the paper and read it seriously, he glanced into the horse carriage. “Who is that young man? I thought only the three of you were royal guests.”
“Ah, She is the slave I just bought.”
“Slave?” Leo's eyes seemed to be squeaking suspiciously, he looked seriously at Ethelyne who was always looking down. His eyes turned toward William. “I think there are better slaves in the kingdom of Victoria, why are you interested in slaves from the kingdom of Gezeweith?”
“Don't you not have special permission to inquire about it, Sir Leo.” William looked at her coldly, both of them were now staring at each other with intimidating auras.
“Sir Leo-”
“Can you guys end this conversation?” asked Eadric who had been silent, he turned his eyes towards Leo. “Sorry because we left suddenly, but lately. There was a rebellion in the territory of the Victorian kingdom, that's why we left in a hurry. After all, Ayahanda is too old to take care of the rebels.”
The atmosphere turned silent, a gripping aura continued to rule the horse carriage. Even the coachman broke out in cold sweat.
“Good.” Leo turned his head towards the soldier and the knight friend. “Let them pass.”
“Thank you for the understanding, Sir Leo.” William smiled and closed the curtain.
The horse-drawn carriage returned, after making sure the horse-drawn carriage was away from the kingdom of Gezeweith. Then Ethelyne exhaled. “Hah, surprise me. I thought he would recognize me,” muttered as he rubbed his chest in relief. “Oh, by the way-”
“Stop there!!”
