Ethelyne clucked, she shifted and let Dior's body fall to the floor covered in blood. “Why did you even take my prey?”
“I don't like to see you close to him!”
Ethelyne clasped her chest with a nosy smile. “Are you jealous?”
“For what?”
Ethelyne crouched down and checked Dior's pulse. “Yes, who knows you secretly like me right.” He pulled out the arrow that was still lodged in Dior's stomach. “The wound is quite severe, his pulse is also weakening. I better use it,” muttered while taking out a small bottle from behind her dress.
“What is it?”
Ethelyne unscrewed the bottle and poured it into Dior's wound. “Healing medicine, I made it according to the healer's recipe. But ...” He looked up with a finger over the lips. “I changed the recipe a little, it will not affect the healing.” Ethelyne looked back down and looked at Dior's wound that was starting to heal. “But he will feel greater pain than death.”
“For what? Isn't he unconscious, just free your potion.”
Ethelyne smiled faintly, she stared at the arrow that was on the floor. “You know nothing, Your Majesty. The potion I made was not just an ordinary potion, he would start to feel pain when he woke up. In addition, I added a poison that can make his internal organs rot.”
“Wait! Then how do we interrogate him later?”
Ethelyne stood up and walked towards the dressing table, she sat back down and removed her necklace. “That's not a hard thing, I've been protecting his heart and his heart. As long as his heart keeps beating, he won't die even though his entire internal organs are rotting.”
“How can it happen?”
Ethelyne stared at the mirror reflection of Eadric who looked confused, he smiled faintly. “Nothing is impossible for me, Your Majesty. I may not be a poison master, but one of my friends is very good at making any kind of poison. He can even use deadly poison to make a person's body rot but his heart still beats and lives, he can make a person's whole body melt but his heart still beats and his lungs keep working.”
“How ... how?”
“I don't know.” Ethelyne took off her earrings. “For sure, he used ingredients that would render a person unconscious or even die of shock.”
“You mean?” Eadric frowned, he did not understand Ethelyne's words at all.
“Heart, lungs, liver, intestines, all the organs in a human being are needed to make that potion. It might feel disgusting, but my friend mixed the internal organs into the poison. You'll know what I mean when I go to his house.”
“So, huh? By the way, why is your hair brown? Are you still manipulating your hair color?”
Only then did Ethelyne realize about her hair color, she smiled clumsily. “Y-yah, I want to see my appearance with a different hair color. It turns out not bad.” Ethelyne closed her eyes, as she opened her eyes again. The color of his hair and eyes had returned blue, only then did he breathe a sigh of relief. ‘I thought I'd get caught, fortunately Eadric was already unsuspecting so didn't make him ask a lot of things.’
“So yeah? Quickly change your clothes, we will soon return to the palace.”
“Ok.”
Ethelyne stretched her shoulder muscles. “Eugh, I'm very tired.”
“Please rest for a while, it still takes a lot of time to return to the palace.” Eadric stared out the window with a lazy face.
“He'em.” Ethelyne closed her eyes, not long ago. He fell asleep while leaning on the horse carriage.
“He, Eadric. Isn't this girl very similar to Alyssa?” zion whispered softly, he glanced at Ethelyne. His hands were itching to pull the veil that always covered the girl's face.
“ … ”
“Hei! I'm talking to you!”
“What is your business, do you want to take it again?”
Zion's got a chest. “Not really, anyway. I will remain loyal to Alyssa all my life.”
“Oh.”
“Cih, not cool at all.” Zion turned her head out the window, she fell silent while observing the trees around. “Do you also feel anything strange?” tanyanya whispers.
Eadric simply cleared his throat without taking his eyes off.
“What do you think, the man who runs the horse-drawn carriage is not your subordinate?”
“Hem? What's up?”
“Mr Duke, some-argh!”
After that shout, the atmosphere suddenly became silent. Zion who felt something strange immediately got off the horse carriage, her gaze immediately directed to Eadric and who was dealing with many bandits within a considerable distance from the horse carriage.
“Wah, whew. Why doesn't that Eadric call me for fun?” Zion stepped towards Eadric and stood beside him. “I didn't know you were playing an interesting game.”
“Don't babble much, let's finish them all before Rimuru wakes up.” Eadric picked up the dagger hidden behind his clothes, he threw one dagger at Zion and attacked the bandits first.
“Oh come on, you should have invited me to play.” Zion raised the dagger in her hand and helped Eadric finish off the bandits.
In the midst of their busy lives, someone sneaks into a horse-drawn carriage and holds Ethelyne hostage who is still sound asleep.
“B-stop fighting or this girl will die!” said a young man stammering.
Eadric and Zion stopped attacking, both of them turning to the origin of the voice.
“Don't be a coward by holding a girl hostage! If you dare, fight me alone!” zion shouted, he was about to step forward but was immediately stopped by Eadric. “Eadric, why are you just standing still??”
“Stay there, and drop your weapon,” muttered Eadric quietly.
“Why are you doing this??”
“According to only.”
Zion clucked, she threw her dagger back. So did Eadric who put his dagger.
A bandit came down from the horse and picked up the two daggers, he returned to his chairman and handed the two daggers over.
“We will not fight, release the girl now.”
“G-this girl seems very valuable to you, j-if so. I-I'll just kill him.” The young man brought the dagger closer to scratch Ethelyne's neck and bleed.
Suddenly, Ethelyne held the dagger and made the young man unable to move the dagger despite having used his magic energy.
“Whisper once, can't you guys just be quiet for a minute?” ethelyne asked as she opened her eyes, she glanced at the dagger that was now touching her neck. Ethelyne clasped the young man's wrist until it was almost crushed.
Fortunately, the young man quickly released his dagger and was about to escape. But Ethelyne didn't let go of his grip.
“Hoamm, don't ever think of escaping after disturbing my sleep.” Ethelyne flicked her fingers, two gray-haired wolves with sharp blood-red eyes suddenly shot out from her shadow.
The two wolves immediately lunged at the young man and rooted him, bit him, and ate him alive.
