23. Suspicions

Ethelyne shook her head slowly. “Can't, somehow I tried. I can't do like when I made Meli into a demon.”

Laurie held her chin. “What is possible because they have become demons.”

“Don't talk about it here, you go back to your place. I'll take Aelene back to room.”

“Good! Beware master.” Laurie's legs started to disappear bit by bit, she waved her hands with a sweet smile.

‘Now, I just need to take her to the room. But I can't seem to erase his memory, dark magic drains a lot of my energy even though I eventually cancel.’ Ethelyne jostled in frustration. ‘It looks like I have to return to the demon realm to gather energy quickly.’

“Eugh, where am I?” Aelene woke up holding her head which hurt.

“Rimuru? Why would I be here? Wasn't I in the castaway palace before?”

Ethelyne tilted her head in confusion. “What do you mean Brother Aelene? Since the afternoon you went back to the room and said very tired, so Big Brother wants to sleep. Could it be that Brother Aelene is dreaming.”

“Hem, could have. By the way, what time is it?” Aelene stood up and walked towards the bathroom.

Ethelyne gasped in surprise, she looked back while stroking her chest. “You surprised me half to death! What if I die of surprise?”

Ethelyne let out a long sigh, she walked over and passed Ned. “Where is His Majesty, I will meet him.”

“Your Majesty is in her study, you go there. I have other business.” Ned suddenly disappeared.

Ethelyne quivered, she walked towards Eadric's study at the sun palace. ‘Why did he suddenly call me anyway? I'd like to bask in the sun, it sucks!’

“A-what is this?”

“Do!” eadric orders with his flat face.

Two soldiers immediately held Ethelyne's hands together.

“Hey, what the hell is this! Let go of me!” Ethelyne tried to rebel, but for the sake of her image as a weak and innocent servant girl. He only exerted 5 percent of his strength.

Eadric glanced at the other soldiers, he gave the code. The soldier nodded and pointed the spear in his hand at Ethelyne's right shoulder.

‘Do-not ..’ Ethelyne's eyes are rounded. “Wait-wait! What the hell are you doing?? Unhand me! I'm innocent, don't torture me!” He's biting his deep lips. ‘Sial, if he hurt me and heals. Then Eadric's suspicions will come true! I have to how now?’

“I'm sorry, Miss,” said the Soldier while stabbing Ethelyne's shoulder with a pointed spear tip, he then pulled the spear to make Ethelyne's blood splash into several places.

Ethelyne grimaced, her lips so bloody that she bit him too hard. ‘Sial!’ He closed his eyes, but strangely. The pain in his shoulder was still felt.

The two soldiers also let go of their check, Ethelyne who lost his balance immediately fell to his knees. He opened his eyes while holding his shoulder which kept on removing plus teary eyes.

My identity is not exposed here.’ Ethelyne heaved a sigh of relief, she wiped her tears while standing up and held her shoulders which were unceasingly bleeding. “You are very evil, Your Majesty! You really are a tyrant, I hate you!” Ethelyne turned around and ran away with blood dripping onto the ground.

Eadric massaged his temple dizzy. “You can go.”

The soldiers walked out with confused faces.

“What does this mean by His Majesty calling us?”

“Maybe, so from the beginning. We're asked to hurt a girl for no reason.”

They all breathe at the same time. “Already, let's get back on patrol.”
