The Queen Of The Demon World
99. Truth

“Stop there!!”

Ethelyne who heard the voice instantly fell silent, her eyes seemed to tremble. “Kak Xander,” murmured almost silently.

William got off the horse-drawn carriage and saluted. “What's the problem, Prince?”

“Who is in the horse carriage?” xander asked coldly, Gavin who was sitting on the horse next to him looked at the bewildered brother.

“What's up, brother? Why sister suddenly-”

“Do you think you can take Lyne away!”

Ethelyne's heart stopped beating for a second. ‘Dia knows! Lothawat! What am I supposed to do?? Will I be brought back? Will I not be able to come back?’ The grip of someone's hand made him realize, Ethelyne stared straight ahead. Precisely in the direction of Eadric who closed his eyes while holding his hand.

He was silent for a moment, a faint smile rising on his face. ‘Thank you.’

“I don't understand your intent at all, prince. The ones in the horse carriage were His Highness the third prince and Tio's aide, besides. There was a slave that His Majesty had just bought.”

The aura around turned intimidating, Xander got off his horse carriage and walked towards William. Without warning, he hit the man's jaw hard.

“How dare you call my sister a slave!!”

“Kak, actually you-”

“Shut! Take Lyne back to the palace.”

“But--”

“No want!!”

The three turned to the origin of the sound, even Murry and Eadric were not aware Ethelyne got off the horse carriage.

“Lyne! Do you want to make mom and dad worry??”

“You are a liar!!” ethelyne shouted with clenched hands.

“Lyne, what ... did you say?” ask Xander not to believe it.

“You guys just want to keep me here right!” Unknowingly, tears flowed from the girl's eyes.

Xander and Gavin's hearts were as if they were sliced by a knife when they saw their beloved sister crying in front of them.

“Lyne, what does-” mean

“It turns out so, you already remember ya.”

Gavin turned towards Xander with a puzzled look. “What do you mean, Brother? What do you remember?”

Xander nodded in silence. “Ah, I didn't expect you to wake up.” He looked at Ethelyne with a faint smile. “It turns out you're better than I thought.”

“What, what do you mean?” Ethelyne stepped back with a frightened look, she felt strange with a faint smile on Xander's face. “What don't-don't, sister. Big brother made this happen?”

“Not only me, mom and dad are involved in this problem. They knew from the beginning that you were ... not our Lyne.”

“What?” Ethelyne and Gavin were both stunned.

“So, mean Sister. The Lyne with us, isn't our Lyne the real one??”

“Yes, Lyne was dead two years ago from a violent impact on her head. But mother and father were unwilling to accept the truth, so both performed forbidden rituals. Father and mother want to revive Lyne's soul by sacrificing their soul to the demon nation, but instead the soul of the alien girl is dragged away. Mom and dad don't want to accept it, but it's because of the girl's memory loss. Mom and dad plan to turn it into a whole Lyne and bury the truth forever, huh. But it seems like they never thought that there would be a day where the girl would get her memories back.”

“So, all this time ... Lyne whom I consider as my sister is a stranger??” muttered Gavin in disbelief, he looked at Ethelyne who also looked surprised.

“So ... all this time, mom and dad knew that I wasn't Lyne. You're selfish!” ethelyne shouted in anger. “Do you not think, what about my family in my world?! You just do what you want without thinking about anyone else, why are you so evil! You're disgusting! I really hate you guys, so hate it!!” The nails in Ethelyne's hand were stuck because of his powerful fist, blood dripping to the ground.

Instantly a tornado-like white light surrounded Ethelyne, the wind as if sucking all the magic energy around.

“Quick! Hurry along!! Lady's magic energy is back out of control!” Mika and the other spirits lined up in front of Berier with both hands outstretched forward, they closed their eyes and cast a spell.

Magic energies of different colors shot out from their palms and wrapped around Ethelyne's soul which was entered abnormally by magic energy.

‘May you be fine, Lady.’

Suddenly, a bright light appeared from Ethelyne. The spirits instantly closed their eyes due to the eye-piercing light.

Not long after, the light seemed to crack like it kept hatching. Surprisingly, droplets of blood appeared on the floor along with the cracking of the light that formed the egg.

Fractions of light shells fell down along with the blood dripping down bit by bit, Ethelyne's dress turned white with the same colored lace that looked sparkling. Her brown hair color slowly turned silver, her eyes slowly opened and displayed a beautiful bright blue color.

The chains that remembered him suddenly shattered like shards of glass, slowly. Ethelyne's feet retraced to the ground containing the magic circle, her blue eyes scouring the surroundings.

“Ah, I've returned yes,” she said with a faint smile, she walked towards the barrier. “You guys okay?”

Mika and the other spirits opened their eyes as the light completely disappeared, their gazes instantly directed towards Ethelyne who was also staring at them confused.

“L-lady Ethelyne.” Mika's teary eyes held back tears, the girl rubbed her eyes and smiled.

The originally confused Ethelyne smiled faintly. “I'm back.”

“What do you mean, huh?? You think I can't do everything?!” ethelyne asked curiously, she heartlessly threw the servant against the wall.

“S-I didn't mean it that way, Your Highness.” The waiter coughed, there were even large cracks on the wall.

“So you mean, I was wrong??” Ethelyne looked more and more at the servant and made the servant look down in fear.

Meli and Loreen did not dare to stop him, because a year ago. When they were 'admonishing' Ethelyne, the girl without cause hurt them and assumed that she was never wrong.

“Cih, servant base hina.” Ethelyne clucked, she walked away indifferently.

“Why has His Majesty changed like this?”

“I don't know, Loreen. His Majesty has indeed been acting strange since a year ago, let alone. It has been two years since the last time His Majesty met a human, I fear His Majesty will vent his anger onto an innocent human.”

“What should we do, Meli? If we stop His Majesty, it could be us who will end tragically.”

“I also don't know.” Meli stared at Ethelyne's back which was getting further away and disappeared from her sight, she sighed. ‘What should I do, Brother?’

“Et-hel,” said Aelene stammered, she had trouble breathing. Especially when the dark aura that was suffocating him grew stronger.

“Damn it! Release Aeli!!” Zachary banged on the black barrier that locked him up with Ned and Zion, all three of them completely helpless. They could only see Aelene continuing to rebel.

“For what?” Ethelyne grinned. “Should have, I did this from the start. I was a fool for believing in that damn dragon, but. Now I can make you an outlet for my grief, approximately. How would it be if your fiancee saw you die torn to shreds right in front of her directly? That would be so much fun!”
