5. The Crown Prince of the Demon Kingdom

Ethelyne took a deep breath. “A-I ran away from the palace because I did not want to meet second brother,” murmured softly.

“Hem, what's wrong with Zen?”

“Kakak don't know!” Ethelyne looked seriously at Ryan despite the obvious fear in her eyes, she glanced in another direction. “Sister Zen has always bullied and tormented me, Brother has no idea how Brother Zen behaves when you are not around!”

Ryan raised his eyebrows, he stared intently at Ethelyne's facial expression as if trying to find a lie. Ryan sighed and rubbed Ethelyne's hair gently. “You know, I'm worried about you. Humans and demons are different, Ethelyne. You can't be in the human world for too long, in this world. There are humans who can detect demons easily.” Ryan's voice is soft.

Ethelyne nodded. “I know my brother is worried about me, but I still won't return to the kingdom. I'm into the human world to look for something and I won't be back before I find it.”

“Ethelyne, why are you so stubborn?”

“I still won't be back! I will continue to be in the human world until I discover the truth!” Ethelyne turned around and ran away.

“Do you mean to live in the human world?” ryan muttered while watching Ethelyne's back which was getting away and disappeared. “Then this is your decision, but. Someone should replace you serving a sentence.” He walked out of the alley and leisurely walked in the opposite direction from Ethelyne.

“Your Majesty!”

Suddenly, two men dressed in black with buffalo horns and one with pointed ears like an elf appeared.

“Bring Princess Ethelyne's personal servant to the execution room, she will be punished for her carelessness.”

“Eh, then what about Her Highness Princess?” ask the pointed-eared man.

Ryan glanced at him coldly. “Stop the search, just let him be killed by a human for being stubborn.” He walked away with a cold aura.

“What's up with Your Majesty? Why did he suddenly stop the search for Her Royal Highness the Princess?” The buffalo horned man glanced at his friend.

The pointed-eared man shook his head not knowing. “We have no reason to ask, all we need to do is obey the orders of His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Second Prince.”

“I feel sorry for Servant Meli, even though she has been very good to Her Highness Princess but ended up executed.”

Both of them disappeared and only left a faint trace of black magic.

‘Kathelyne? How could that holy maiden look familiar to the Crown Prince of the Demon Kingdom, who exactly was she. She is not the holy girl I saw first, her attitude is very different even though she is very similar to that holy girl.’

“Ugh, I'm tired. Finally, Ryan let me go voluntarily. At least, no one will come after me and force me back.” Ethelyne stretched her stiff shoulder muscles, leaning against a large tree and looking straight ahead. “Flowing, how? Did you find him?”

‘Yes, Master. I've found the person you want to know, he's now in a restaurant on the edge of town. Do you want to go there?’

“No.” Ethelyne took a dry twig beside her and broke it in half, she then threw one side of the twig to the right and another side in the opposite direction. “I'll make her own to meet me.”

‘Hem, how to do?’

Ethelyne smiled meaningfully. “You'll know later.” He took another twig and broke it in two, now Ethelyne put the two twigs together into a cross. “Let's make him leak all the information he knows, Mr. Duke. Wait until a few more days, I make sure you bend your knees in front of me.”

‘Whatever why, I feel you're very confident. Master, what if your plan fails?’

‘Good, it's up to you. Just don't get me involved in the problems you cause later, Master.’

Flowing who was lazy to argue with Ethelyne is now resigned to whatever his employer will do, anyway. He would not be able to defy orders from his master.

Ethelyne let out a heavy sigh, she looked up. “Forget it, I'm not interested. Activating power is tantamount to suicide.” Ethelyne massaged the base of his nose. “I'm so confused, how can Mom activate her power at the age of 10 years.”

“It looks like you're depressed.”

Ethelyne immediately lowered her head and pulled the cloak hood to cover her face. “Who are you? Why are you here?” ask him with maximum vigilance. ‘How is it possible, since when was he sitting there? I didn't see it before, nor did I feel anything not even the wind. And he suddenly sat under the same tree and right beside me, what the hell is this?? Is it really my blunt detection skill or is it great, but how is it possible. He is just an ordinary human being and there is no way I could not feel his presence before!’

“You don't recognize me?”

Ethelyne nodded. “Ya, I'm new in this city.”

“I'm sure I never saw you, oh yeah. I'm Zion Brielle. I'm from Iceworld kingdom, I'm here for a mission.”

‘Zion Brielle? What does Duke Zion mean?’ Ethelyne grinned. “It so happens, I am also from Iceworld Country. I'm here for a walk, can we be friends. Zion?” ask her in a friendly tone despite the opposite of the expression hidden behind the hood of her robe.

“Berfriend huh? Could it be, what's your name?”

“My name is Et-I mean Katrine, I'm just a commoner. Are you still sure you want to be friends with me?”

‘There are ordinary people who can make the leaves of this tree glow.’ Zion smiled faintly. “It's good to be friends with you, Katrine.”
