The Second Ring
Chapter Ten

Kenzo was silent for a moment. He doesn't know how to explain it to Adelle. It's just that he can't keep quiet or lie to Adelle. Kenzo would not answer honestly. And show his weakness to Adelle.

"I'm not picky eating. Just can't eat spicy food because my throat is sensitive to chili, pepper or ginger. Any spicy food will hurt and become inflamed" Kenzo explained.

Adelle looked at Kenzo. He had a chance to think, why Kenzo long answered his question and like busy thinking of answers. He realized that Kenzo did not want to show his weak side to others. Adelle, who does not want to make Kenzo uncomfortable, tries to make Kenzo feel better by reminding Kenzo not to eat spicy food.

"Ah, so. You should be careful when ordering food at restaurants then. If you like to eat, next time we eat again. Eating together is more fun than eating alone" Adelle says.

"Can too. We'll make an appointment another time" said Kenzo.

"Are you offended, Ken? or feel uncomfortable?" ask Adelle to know what Kenzo's thinking is.

Kenzo smiled, "It's not so. I just admit my weakness. In this world which man is weak against spicy food. Don't I look stupid for not being able to eat chili and stuff?" kenzo clear.

"You're wrong to think that way. Not being able to eat anything is like Alegi. Allergies should avoid the cause. You're not stupid, nor are you wrong" Adelle said.

Arriving at the restaurant, Adelle and Kenzo immediately ordered the desired menu. Both have the same taste. When they knew the menu was the same, the two of them threw smiles at each other.

Seeing Adelle's beautiful smile, Kenzo said something surprising. She praised Adelle's beautiful smile and asked Adelle to continue to smile in front of her.

"You're beautiful when you smile, Adelle. Smile with me. I mean at the same time as it is today" said Kenzo in praise.

Adelle nodded her head slowly, she would try as she did not normally smile indistinctly.

"Yes, I'll try. So far, I rarely smile because no ads can make me smile. It's strange if you suddenly smile indistinctly" replied Adelle.

Silent mood. I don't know why Adelle was suddenly silent. Kenzo patted Adelle on the back of his hand, so that Adelle would throw her daydream. Sure enough, Adelle was shocked and immediately looked at Kenzo.

Adelle asked, did Kenzo talk to her? Kenzo asks, is there a problem or is there something Adelle is thinking about?

"What are you thinking?" ask Kenzo.

A beautiful smile expands on Adelle's lips, she says, if she thinks about her ex-husband.

"Ah, not important. It's just the past" Adelle replied.

Kenzo asks again, does Adelle still love her ex-husband and want to make up?

"Are you still expecting it?" ask Kenzo.

Adelle shook her head quickly, "Where might I wish on such a trashy man," Adelle replied.

She explained that she no longer loved her ex-husband. It's just that she felt sorry for both of her ex-husband's parents.

Adelle is also upset, she is angry because her ex-husband did not tell her about his second divorce to anyone including her ex-husband's parents. Though Adelle's relationship with her ex-husband's parents was so good, she felt awkward because she had to tell Mama James about the divorce.

Kenzo asked, Was the time Adelle left earlier, the time to talk between Adelle and Mama James? Talking about Adelle's divorce with Adelle's ex-husband?

Adelle nodded her head, "Yes, inevitably I have to explain. Strange, but what else. We were divorced when I asked about James I didn't like it" Adelle said.

Because there was no reason for him to cover up the crack of his relationship with James in front of James' mama. Adelle also told how Mama James reacted when listening to her story. As someone who knew James' parents well, Adelle understood his feelings.

"You've done the right thing, Adelle. Sorry, I don't want to interfere in your personal affairs. I just don't want you to bend your face. If I were in your position, I would do the same." Kenzo looked at Adelle.

Adelle smiled, "You're pretty excited to talk to, yeah. I thought you were a stiff as a robot. Hahaha .. " said Adelle laughing.

The two continued to talk until the food ordered came. They continued to enjoy food together.

After eating and talking about work, Kenzo took Adelle back to the office. Adelle's back at work like nothing happened. To be honest he wanted to immediately forget the bad events that always loomed him like a ghost.

Adelle told her Assistant that she would soon receive an important job related to the Star Hotel. Adelle asks the Assistant to prepare for everything in the future.

"We have to do better and pay attention to everything" Adelle said.

Adelle's assistant nodded her head, "Yes, Mom. I've understood. I'll prepare everything according to your orders" replied the Assistant.

Adelle's assistant leaves Adelle's room. While Adelle again checked the documents and signed some files that need his signature.

Other place. Precisely in the Lalisa department. James was drinking from Lalisa's car and the two quarreled.

"That's enough. How long are you gonna drink alcohol, James?" lalisa said annoyed.

"Be quiet and disturb me" said Kenzo.

"How can I just shut up to see you like this? and also, when are you going to marry me?" ask Lalisa.

Lalisa holds James responsible for marrying her. James, who was silent, exploded.

"What did you say? married?" james was upset.

"Yes, married. Can't you just ignore your son?" lalisa looked at James.

"Can't you see the current situation, Lalisa? please don't make me more upset and emotional. Please understand," said James furiously.

James was upset that Lalisa could not be patient and looked at the situation. Lalisa is considered selfish, only concerned with personal desires without thinking about how James is. Even mouth can't be avoided. Both James and Lalisa, have their own opinions and want to justify their own words.

Lalisa couldn't stand it, James kept asking her to be patient. He went to Adelle and asked Adelle for help without shame. When she found out that Lalisa wanted to meet, Adelle was shocked. He doesn't want to be involved with Lalisa anymore, especially James.

Adelle asked her Assistant to deliver a message, if she was busy and could not meet guests.

"Tell me like that. I don't want to meet her, so please take care of it, yes." Adelle asked.

"Well, ma'am" said the assistant.

Adelle thought, that's the subtle way that she can wear right now. He returned to work thinking that Lalisa would leave after hearing his Assistant's explanation. He focused his mind and forgot for a moment about Lalisa.
