The Second Ring
Chapter Eight

Adelle and Mama James sat side by side. They were sitting in a place some distance away from where Kenzo was. With awkward feelings mixed with restlessness, Adelle also told what happened to her and James.

"Ma .." call Adelle to look at Mama James.

"Yes, honey. What was? why do you look so nervous?" mama James wiped Adelle's pretty face.

Adelle looked down, "Sorry, Ma. Sorry .. " muttered Adelle.

Mama James was silent in confusion. He had no idea what Adelle's apology meant.

"Actually .. I. ahhh, how can I explain it, Ma. It's not easy for me." said Adelle looking sad.

Mama James rubbed Adelle's head, "Slowly explain it. Tell me what you want to say, son. If it's too heavy then you don't have to say. It's okay," said Mama James softly.

Adelle was silent for a moment, before finally speaking.  Although it was difficult for him, but it was his chance to explain what really happened.

"James and I got divorced a month ago, Ma. I cannot forgive James for betraying our sacred promise. James ...he was having an affair and the woman was also pregnant with James's child. Sorry .. I can't be a good daughter-in-law yet. I hope Mama understands and understands our decision." explained Adelle who involuntarily cried.

Mama James looked shocked, until her mouth gaped. He did not expect his son to commit such an embarrassing act.

"Not only cheating, even to conceive a baby?" mummy Mama James.

"I don't know if James hasn't told Papa and Mama about our divorce. The last time I met her, she said she would tell me and take care of everything." Adelle explained.

"No news from him. If I had known, I'd have rebuked her so hard" Mama James replied.

Adelle's speechless. He wiped his tears slowly which kept dripping down both cheeks.

Mama James feels guilty for the bad deeds of the child. She hugged Adelle's body and cried.

"Sorry, Son. Because of my son you have to suffer and be hurt. Sorry .. " said Mama James.

Adelle took off a hug, "No, Ma. Mama is not wrong. Don't apologize for her" Adelle said.

Mama Adelle shook her head, "No, son. As parents, we have the obligation to educate children well. We ultimately failed as parents. How could he do that to you? she ... "the words of Mama James came to a halt because her phone rang.

He took his cell phone from the bag. Apparently Mama James received a call from her son.

"James called. Mama pick up first, yeah" said Mama James holding the phone tightly in hand.

"Yes, Ma. I went to the bathroom first" said Adelle, who left Mama James.

James's mother also received a call from James. He asked his son to come to see him at Caffe where he was. When the mother mentioned the location, James was immediately shocked. James asked what his mother was in the area for, knowing it was the area around his ex-wife's office. Without thinking the mother replied, if you want to meet the daughter-in-law.

Hearing the answer of the mother, made James immediately end the call unilaterally. He soon sent a message, asking his mother to remain at Caffe until he arrived.

Mama James seemed to be deliberately silent because he was upset at his son who told him nothing, he could not even call. He didn't tell James if he had met Adelle and talked to her.

In the bathroom. Adelle was just crying in one of the rooms. Feeling quite relieved, he went out and walked closer to the sink to wash his hands immediately.

His eyes looked at the mirror before him, "I can cry. Didn't I not want to cry about my farewell

with that son of a bitch?" inner Adelle.

He immediately wiped his tears. He took a few deep breaths, then exhaled slowly.

His mind was still thinking about the incident when he caught James and James' mistress in the hotel. The incident was so deep in Adelle's heart that it was hard to forget. If you remember it all, Adelle's chest seemed to rumble to explode.

James and a woman got out of the car in a hurry. Both of them went to a cafe.

James looked around. He was shocked when he found out his mother had met Adelle, seen the two talking.

"Ma .. "call James. Breathing gasps.

Mama James, Adelle and Kenzo turned their eyes toward James.

"Oh, you've come" said Mama James.

Adelle looked away at Kenzo, "We continue our discussion elsewhere" Adelle said.

"Ok, no problem." replied Kenzo.

Adelle stood up and looked at Mama James, "Ma. Excuse me," said Adelle politely.

Mama James smiled, "Yes, go. Thank you for accompanying me. Next time come eat together," said Mama James hopes to still be able to establish a good relationship with her ex-daughter-in-law.

Adelle smiled beautifully, "Maybe. Please contact me if your mom is happy. Dahh, Ma .. "given Adelle's departure.

Adelle leaves with Kenzo, leaving behind James, his mother and a woman who is none other than Lalisa, James's mistress.

Seeing Adelle leave with a foreign man, makes James a little uncomfortable. His gaze was so sharp looking out at Caffe.

"James .. " call the Mama.

The mother saw her son silently staring out at Caffe. More precisely looking at the departure of Adelle and Kenzo.

"Who's that guy, Ma?" ask James.

"Why are you asking? It's none of your business" Mama James replied upsetly.

"Ma .." said James annoyedly looking at his mother.

"Sit down, Mama wants to talk" said the mother.

James sat down, followed by Lalisa next to James. Mama James's eyes stared at Lalisa, his forehead wrinkled.

"So you're the one?" mama James asked Lalisa.

Lalisa's shocked, "W-what?" said.

"You're the third woman among my son and daughter-in-law, right? you can seduce someone else's husband. You are so shameless, yes. Is this how your parents educate?" mama James said emotionally.

"Ma, don't be angry. Why are you feeling this way? we're in a public place" said James, calming the mother down.

"How can Mama not be emotional. You're embarrassing Mama, James. Even if Mama never taught you to do bad things. Maybe you cheated on her and made this woman pregnant. You've hurt two women, your Mama and Adelle's heart. Even if you kneel apologizing, your mistakes will not be forgiven. Hahh .. (sighs) just do as you please. Never go home to your mom or your dad" said Mama James sadly. He got up from a sitting position and left James and Lalisa.

"Ma .. "call James run pull the hand of the Mama.

"Mama .." call James again.
