Chapter Seventeen

Kenzo lay down again, though he could not sleep, he wanted to rest his tired body and head as he continued to be forced to work overtime. His mind was busy thinking about the meeting tomorrow, as well as his preparations to review his new Hotel branch.

Just as he wanted to close his eyes, he was startled by something. Suddenly Adelle rolls over and falls onto the mat, right by Kenzo's side. Kenzo saw Adelle still sleeping, did not seem to feel shocked when she fell because of the thick mattress and there was also a sofa pad that Kenzo deliberately lined up before just in case.

"Why did he fall? and that's not felt?" inner Kenzo.

Kenzo pats Adelle on the shoulder, tries to wake Adelle up, but Adelle is still sound asleep, leaving Kenzo with nothing.

Kenzo's face flushed. He saw that half of his body had been controlled by Adelle. To the extent that Adelle's legs flank one leg, and hugged one hand.

"Kenzo .. looks like you'll stay up until morning. Enjoy the long meeting of tomorrow with blackened eyes," Kenzo's inner self-mockery.

Kenzo looked away, he looked towards Adelle who was sleeping by her side. He rubbed Adelle's head, feeling Adelle's hair soft. Unconsciously Kenzo smiled, he also patted Adelle on the back.

Kenzo thought, Adelle must be tired of working. Just don't show it to anyone else. Moreover, he had just experienced the most difficult time in his life, namely divorce.

Kenzo's head rewires Adelle's meeting with Mama James, until James and a woman arrive. It was indeed at that moment that Kenzo who had nothing to do with them could only look and pretend to know nothing. But he had time to adopt Jame, his mother and the woman who came with James.

Adelle woke up and opened her eyes slowly. He immediately remembered that he was taking care of Kenzo who was sick. He sat down and looked around.

He was shocked because he woke up on the mat, not on the couch. Adelle scratched her non-itchy head and thought, What happened.

"Why am I sleeping on the mat? didn't I lie on the couch? it was Kenzo who frowned at me and we exchanged positions," Adelle's mind frowned.

"Hey, what do you think about daydreaming?" ask Kenzo whispering.

"Haahh .. You are a surprise!" adelle looked at Kenzo.

"Oh, sorry. You I called since earlier did not answer, so I purposely surprised you. Haha .." replied Kenzo admitting to having surprised Adelle on purpose.

"Ken ... mmh, have I done anything? Ah, that, I mean I kicked you out maybe. Or did you move my bed? Are we supposed to switch beds, but I didn't realize I was so sleepy?" adelle asked curiously.

"Forget it. Later if you know, you will be ashamed." replied Kenzo.

Adelle frowned, "What? i-i'm embarrassed? whatchu mean?" adelle asked, getting curious.

"That's it. Quickly wash your face and brush your teeth, then breakfast. I've made breakfast with potluck in your fridge. You're a woman, but your fridge is full of mineral water, juice, and milk." replied Kenzo, commenting on the contents of Adelle's refrigerator.

"Ahh, yes, that .. I haven't bought it yet. Today's plan is to shop after work. But I don't know, if I don't forget and don't get lazy. Hehe .. " replied Adelle smiling funny.

Kenzo shook his head. He stood up and left Adelle.

Adelle stood up immediately. She tidied her hair and walked to the bathroom. His stomach is hungry, he wants to have breakfast.

Adelle and Kenzo have breakfast together. Kenzo makes corn cream soup and toast. He also warms up milk for Adelle.

"Hmm... Did you really make this? Rasany soup is savory and delicious. You're good at cooking, Ken." Praise Adelle.

"Yes, of course. As the Owner of the Star Hotel, I should know about what dishes will be served to Hotel guests. I also took special classes for an entire year to learn everything without being missed. Because of that, I don't carelessly recruit cooks at my hotel." replied Kenzo.

Adelle was stunned to hear Kenzo's explanation, "Wuahh. Imagine taking a special class, and only learning it one year. If it was me, it would have flown a white flag and roared" Adelle said.

"I did a bit more. You can take her to the office and share it with your staff" said Kenzo staring at Adelle who was eating soup.

Adelle nodded her head, reciting the word Kenzo. Seeing Adelle like his cooking, Kenzo felt relieved and happy. This was his first time cooking for someone other than himself.

"Slowly eating. Later you can choke," said Kenzo reminded.

"Ah, sorry. I was too excited to eat, yeah. Hehe .. " replied Adelle smiling.

"Crazy, crazy! this is the best corn cream soup I've ever tried. It even tastes better than I ever bought at our restaurant, uh. Ahh ... It's so delicious, how could he make this delicious cuisine? I as a woman envy her, "inner Adelle looked at the corn cream soup before her with sparkling eyes.
