The Second Ring

The Second Ring
Chapter 71

Vino's agitated. Today, exactly two weeks the wife left. The woman promised to go away for a week on vacation. However, in addition to passing the promised deadline, Olivia also could never be contacted. It can never be.

Over and over again, he made a call. Many times he also experienced despair, because the number contacted was never active. In fact, Vino makes calls almost every hour.

I don't know how many messages he sent. And, as much as that, none of the other ticks turned into two ticks, let alone changed the color to blue as a sign has been read.

Every time his phone rang, Vino's expectations were high, thinking it was a call from his wife. But hope remains hope. When he excitedly saw the glowing screen, the spirit was instantly dashed along with the name that was plastered there. It is not the name of the wife, but the name of another. Her mother and sister were the most dominant.

Like this time. Vino is leading the meeting. Two weeks ago, there were two laundry branches that escaped his attention. Until, he did not know if during this week he branch has no income. No customers come to wash their clothes. In fact, on a day usually quite crowded.

Until, in the end, a customer close to Olivia who came to the headquarters, looking for the whereabouts of the woman.

Tell Vino! How could he not miss that woman? Meanwhile, let alone his daily problems. For work problems, Olivia was very influential.

"I am surprised, why the workers there can be as reckless as that? My shirt got a smudge there were also a lot of loose buttons." The woman who looked to be in her fifties complained.

After getting the complaint, the next day Vino immediately invited the laundry guards for an emergency meeting. Early in the morning, even before opening a place of business.

"Please explain who is in charge of the two branches there?" asked Vino with a firm look. He circulated a glance, staring at each guard with a peeking gaze.

All heads bowed in. No one dared to return their boss' gaze. In fact, this was a new occurrence as long as the venture stood.

"If this incident lasts until the next week, our efforts may be out of business." Vino said with a lower intonation, but his gaze was still sharp looking at his employees.

"But not long ago this effort went on. And, this is the most fatal mistake ever. Moreover, the report to me was already very late. I am sure, if there are no customers who complain then there will be no reports coming in until the end of the month. So, what are you going to pay?" Vino said at length. He exhaled violently. At a time like this, the shadow of Olivia's face flashed in memory.

Vino thought what would Olivia do if she were in the current state? Ah, she realizes that she cannot live without Olivia by her side.

"I'm sorry, sir." One of them finally spoke. "Actually, before today there was a problem that happened. But, that time Olivia's mother instantly took action-"

"What's? What did my wife do to solve the problem in your place?" ask Vino enthusiastically. His eyes sparkled brightly. The longing ... emanated clearly on his face.

The employees present could feel the sadness as well as the longing that Vino felt. They also know that Olivia's name is very capable of quelling the anger that a moment ago overpowered the man.

The man cleared slowly. He had a glance at the man beside him, as if to tell that they would definitely survive this matter. After getting a nod from his peers, he immediately faced their boss and explained excitedly.

Vino nodded. Awe was rising in his chest. He looked up while pressing both ends of his eyes, holding back his tears from flowing in front of his employees. Shy dong!

"alright. Do as my wife does. I just follow it," Vino said later, making up his mind.

The two faces that had been haggard now looked radiant. They nodded simultaneously, like they had obtained a code simultaneously.

Not yet had his steps swayed leaving the meeting room, the phone rang. He took it with full fervor, thinking that the wife was the one making the call.

However, it is a pity because it is not the name Olivia displayed on the screen but the name of the mother who shimmered there. He answered the call in a daze.

Vino greeted me softly. His hand rubbed his face violently, closing his eyes for a moment before completely exiting the meeting room leaving behind a prickly rafter that was faintly caught in the ear.

"Sister, Mama's in the hospital. It's critical." It was not the voice of the mother but the voice of the younger sister, Raisya.

Raisya spoke with sobbing. He was crying and sounded very worried.

"Wait a minute, get there. It just finished the meeting. Wait, don't go anywhere." Vino said softly. He was also worried about what his mother was going through.

Moreover, two days ago there was a debate between him and his mother. Vino realized that he had been rude to make the mother cry.

Oh, don't let her mom drop that.

Vino kept chanting prayers in his heart. His steps were wide out of the building, nodding at a glance at the employee who greeted him.

The car is moving at the fastest speed possible. Vino's hand to the point of shaking due to the feeling of self-controlled worry.

Arriving at the hospital, he immediately contacted Raisya asking for the room where the mother was treated.

Apparently, his father was waiting for his arrival.

"What's going on, Vino?" ask the man that Vino is most disinclined about.

"I don't know either, Pa. Raisya calls and says if Mama is being treated here." Vino explained what it was.

"Yes. Mama you indeed fainted immediately rushed to this hospital." The father said the word Vino.

The door of the room opened, Raisya appeared with an anxious face. "Sister, Mama called Kak Vino," he said hurriedly.

Vino interrupts then immediately follows Raisya's steps into the room. He stepped wide carefully, approached the bed and sat down beside the mama who was lying weak.

"Ma ...," call Vino.

"Want you to come here? I guess I'm just busy thinking about Olivia and no longer care about Mama" she said. Her tears flowed and it made Vino feel sad.
