Chapter Twenty

Adelle was busy working. The door of his room was knocked, and his Secretary hurriedly entered the room to convey something important.

"Mr Director .. "call Jessica, Secretary Adelle.

Adelle turned her eyes to Jessica, "What's wrong? you running around in the office? your breath so breathless." asked Adelle.

"Mom, Mister and Madam came and waited for you in the waiting room" Jessica replied.

Adelle patted her forehead, "Ahh. They will come. Sorry, yes. You don't have to worry, they've known about my divorce for a long time and James. They came here because they wanted to talk about business. You can go back to work, Jessica" Adelle explained, then asked Jessica to continue her work.

"Oh, so. I'm thinking you're gonna get angry. Okay, Mom. I will continue my work. Happy conversation with your parents. Excuse me," Jessica said goodbye, and immediately left Adelle.

Because Papa and Mama have come, Adelle inevitably has to postpone her job and meet her parents.

Meanwhile in the waiting room. Ferdinan and Arianna sat quietly waiting for their beloved daughter to arrive.

Arianna looked at her husband, asking if she had contacted Adelle and told him in advance, if she wanted to come to the office?

Ferdinan nodded his head. It is impossible for Ferdinan to come without prior notice. Adelle asked Ferdinan to come to the office, because Adelle's old house had been sold, and she had moved into the apartment.

When Ferdinan and Arianna were talking. The waiting room door was slowly knocked. The door opened and Adelle entered the waiting room.

"Pa, Ma, sorry to wait so long. I'm a little busy" Adelle said. Walk closer to Papa and his mother.

Arianna stood up to welcome Adelle and immediately hugged Adelle tightly. Arianna was crying, she had long missed her daughter.

"Mama misses you, Adelle" said Arianna.

"Madie misses Mama too. Is Mama healthy?" ask Adelle.

Arianna let go of a hug, she looked at Adelle and nodded her head in reply, if she is okay. Arianna rubbed Adelle's face, asking if her daughter was okay?

Adelle smiled, "I'm fine, Mama. Don't worry" said Adelle.

"Thank God, Mama has been very worried since that day. Sorry, we can come now. Your father can't travel far because his health is declining." explains Arianna.

Adelle looked at Ferdinan, "Papa .." call Adelle.

Adelle immediately hugged her Papa tightly and burst into tears. He felt guilty, sad because his father was sick.

"Sorry, Pa. Forgive Adelle" said Adelle as heckling.

Ferdinan patted his daughter's back gently and rubbed her head. He was also sad when he found out his daughter was divorced and what the reason for the divorce was.

"That's who should be sorry, baby. When you are alone, sad and in need of comfort, Papa and Mama are far from you" Ferdinan said.

Adelle looked at her Papa and shook her head. He said that if he was the one who was guilty for not daring to come to see Papa and Mama to talk and just tell by message.

"We can find people and hire them to take your place" Ferdinan said, wiping Adelle's tears.

"Adelle's fine, Pa. I cried out of guilt, when I remembered that day. Even I never received Papa or Mama's call because I didn't want to hear Papa and Mama ask this and that. To be honest, I'm lazy to explain over and over again the reason why my divorce and James could have happened. Especially when I found out that Papa was sick, I was more afraid to talk to Papa." explained Adelle.

Adelle said firmly, if at this time Papa and Mama no longer need to worry. Adelle is not sad because of divorce or bad. Because Adelle has met someone who can make her happy.

When asked who the man was by his mother, Adelle intended to bring her parents together with Kenzo and have dinner together. Arianna agreed, so did Ferdinan. They were curious, also wanting to know who the man who could make their daughter beamed.

Adelle told Papa and her mother about the beginning of the divorce. About how he caught James who was alone with another woman.  Even when Adelle met Mama James, it was told. Ferdinan and Arianna carefully hear their daughter's story. For both, Adelle is their only treasure that will never be replaced.

Adelle came with her Mom and Dad. They're waiting for Kenzo who's still on his way and almost there. While waiting, Adelle orders a drink for her, Papa and her mother. He ordered dinner. And ask the waiter to serve the dish after someone awaited to come.

Kenzo came soon. Adelle was surprised, as it turned out that Kenzo did not come alone. Except with Grandpa.

"Sorry, we're late" Kenzo said.

"Oh, it's okay. You didn't say come together .. "Adelle's words stopped. Because I don't know who Kenzo brought.

"This is my grandfather, Adelle. Grandpa, this is Adelle, the woman I told you about. And this is Adelle's parents" Kenzo said, introducing her to Adelle, as well as to Papa and Mama Adelle.

"Hallo, I'm Eric Jonathan. It's good to see you guys. Especially you, my son-in-law's granddaughter." said Eric, Kenzo's grandfather.

"Hallo, sir." said Papa Adelle.

"It's nice to meet you" said Mama Adelle.

"Ha-hallo, Grandpa. It's good to see Grandpa. Oh, yes, Ken. This is my dad, this is my mom. Pa, Ma, it's Kenzo" Adelle said, introducing Papa and his mother to Kenzo.

"Hallo, Uncle, Aunt. I'm Kenzo Jonathan. It's nice to meet you both, and I'm sorry I came to bring Grandpa in without notice" Kenzo said.

"Oh, Hello, Son. You're very handsome" praised Mama Adelle.

"It's okay. Instead I'm glad you took your Grandpa, Ken." said Papa Adelle in praise.

Kenzo smilingly looked at Adelle, Adelle also smiling beautifully looking at Kenzo. Both faces flushed.

Eric talked to Papa and Mama Adelle. Talk about each other's business.

Adelle brought her face closer to Kenzo's, "You surprised me. I thought you were late because you were stuck on the road. Turns out to pick up Grandpa, huh?" ask Adelle.

"Sorry, yeah. Are you surprised? because you said you wanted to introduce me to your Papa and Mama. I was also thinking of introducing you to my Grandfather. I don't have any parents anymore. The only family I have is my grandfather" whispered Kenzo.

Adelle looks sad. He doesn't want to mock Kenzo when he wants to introduce his parents. He just wants his parents to know, who is the man who can make his daughter smile again happy. Adelle apologized, she felt guilty.

Kenzo held Adelle's hand under the table. Asking Adelle not to think. Kenzo also wants his grandfather to know that Adelle is the only woman who can make his granddaughter's heart beat until it feels like it wants to explode.
