The Seed of the Heir

The Seed of the Heir
Chapter 14

A few days before Dea and Julian's wedding.

That night Dea fell silent in her room staring blankly out the window. Since that fateful incident, the girl's sleep was no longer as quiet as it used to be. Herman, who had just come out of the restroom, immediately approached Dea's room after realizing that her sister's room light was still on.

Tok tok!

"Dea, are you still not sleeping?" herman asked quietly while knocking on the door of the girl's room.

Hearing the call from Herman, Dea was shocked and immediately replied. "Yes, Brother. I'm not sleeping yet."

"Can Brother come in? There's something I want to talk to you about" Herman said.

Dea immediately got up from her position and walked to the door. He opened the door and invited Herman in.

"Why don't you sleep, Dea? Isn't it late at night?" herman asked as he sat on the edge of Dea's shabby bed.

After closing the door to his room as before, Dea immediately approached Herman and sat down beside his older brother.

"No, Brother. I'm not sleepy yet" he replied.

Herman looked sadly at Dea and now his eyes looked teary after remembering the ordeal his sister was facing.

"Dea, forgive Brother. Brother hit you back then. No brother should have done that. Evil brother! Brother is so evil!" Herman smacked his hand that had hit Dea's cheek that day hard.

Seeing that, Dea panicked. He stopped Herman and hugged his brother's body while sobbing.

"No, Brother! Don't do that! Brother is not wrong, Big Brother deserves to hit me because it was all my fault. Had I listened that night, Susi said, the fateful incident would have never happened, Brother," Dea said.

Herman returned Dea's embrace tightly and was seen several times he had her warm kiss on the top of the girl's head.

"Sister will always wish you all the best, Dea. I hope Julian won't make a big deal about it. However, if Julian doesn't accept it, Big Brother promises to step in and explain to him that this isn't your fault."

"Amen. Hopefully and thank you for being willing to stand beside me." Dea breaks her arms with Herman and tries to smile.

"Ehm, Dea. I've been trying to figure out who got you that night. But, honey, everything is nil. None of the citizens knew the information about the three bastard men," said Herman with his head bowed.

Dea smiled wryly and the girl's face returned moody. "I don't even know who they are. It happened so fast and the dark night made me unable to recognize them, Brother."

Herman gently stroked Dea's back, which was now covering her face with both hands. "Confirm, Deck. There will be rainbows after the storm. So did you. There will be happiness waiting for you after you have made it through all these ordeals."

"Amin, brother," said Dea.

Next day.

Dea seemed to be pacing around in her cramped room while squeezing both hands in turn. The girl's face looked paled and she was very anxious. It's been almost a week now that Dea's been feeling down.

"I have to tell Julian the truth. Got to! Otherwise I will continue to feel guilty towards him" Dea murmured.

After feeling confident, Dea immediately came out of his room and sauntered towards the front yard. However, as he passed the television room, Susi who was sitting relaxing with Virna, called the girl.

"Dea! Where are you going!" call Susi with eyebrows that are linked together.

Dea believes that if he responds to the call from his brother-in-law, he will be interrogated like a criminal. It was impossible for her to meet Julian anyway.

"I have to hurry!" mumbles Dea in the heart.

Susi was upset that her call was not made by her sister-in-law. She screamed and screamed a second time.

"Dea! Are you deaf, ha?!"

Again Dea did not pacify him and continued to step towards the front page. After arriving at the front yard of the house, Dea immediately ran a small path to the Julian residence which was not far from the house owned by his brother-in-law.

Susi got up from her sitting position and was intending to catch up with the girl. He walked in a hurry to the terrace. But it turns out he was late. The girl disappeared from that place.

"Damn it! Where's that brat girl?!" squealing Susi while turning her back looked around the place with an anxious face.

Meanwhile.

After a few meters from the residence of his brother-in-law, Dea suddenly crossed paths with his brother. At that time Herman had just returned from Julian's residence to help them set up tents and so on. For the marriage of Dea and Julian would take place at the man's residence.

"Dea, where are you going?" herman asked with an astonished face looking at the hurried-looking Dea.

"Sister? Um, I want to see Julian. Is he there? Brother just got out of his house, didn't he?" ask Dea back.

"Yes, ada. What do you want?"

After hearing Herman's words, Dea ran back without answering the man's question.

"Dea, don't be long! It will not be nice to see people, not if the marriage is only two days away," said Herman again with half a shout.

"Good, Brother." I heard the answer from the girl in the distance.

After Dea disappeared from his sight, Herman again continued his steps towards his simple residence.

Just arriving at the front of the house, Herman was greeted by the Wife with a question.

"Mas see Dea? She just left the house without asking me for permission!" annoyed Susi while putting a sour face to her husband.

"Yes. We just passed by. He said he'd go to Julian's, but I don't know what he'd be there for," replied Herman as he continued to step into their residence and passed Susi who was still standing on the porch of the house.

"Whoevering Julian? What'd the girl want to do there?" susi asked, but Herman didn't bully her.

Suddenly it crossed Susi's mind about the girl's problem. Susi's facial expression suddenly changed. Somehow he was convinced that Dea wanted to tell Julian the truth.

"Don't the girl .... Ah, this can't be allowed! I have to catch up with the girl!" he muttered which then immediately ran towards Julian's residence.

Herman looked in surprise at Susi who had suddenly left in a hasty move. "Where else is that woman going?" murmured Herman.
