One month later.
Herman sat pensively on the porch of his house. The man's face was crumpled and looked desperate. Susi just came out of her house carrying a basket of clothes that had just been washed.
"You don't work, Mum?" greet Susi as she breezed towards the front yard of their house. The woman wanted to dry her clean clothes.
Herman nodded slowly. "No. Today we want to repair the ship first, tomorrow just leave again" said Herman.
Since then Dea has been watching Herman and he knows his brother's mind is in turmoil. Dea ventured to approach Herman and sat down beside him.
"Sister. Brother why?"
Herman turned his head then let out a heavy breath. "Today is the last day where we have to replace that money, Dea. During this month Big Brother kept looking for a loan, but no one could afford to lend that much money to Big Brother."
Herman lowered his head to the floor. Herman felt his burden this time was really heavy and he was unable to carry it alone.
Not only Herman, Dea was already as strong as helping to raise money by way of odd jobs. Whatever he does as long as it is halal and makes money. A month is not a long time for them. To raise 150 million, it is not easy.
"Then, how now, brother? Should I come there and rest before them so that they may forgive us?" lirih Dea's.
Herman raised his head then shook his head quickly. "Don't, Dea! Don'tdon't. They will never listen to your words. They're gonna insult you even more."
"But, Sister ...."
"Let them do what. Now we'll just step down" continued Herman.
"Hey, Dea! Just jump at his job! What's your job done?" shouted Susi who was drying her clothes. He doesn't like to see Dea relax with Herman. He was busy with those clothes.
"That's all, brother. This is I want to go to Omah's house. Help him dry the fish again" Dea said. Susi looked grumbling there. Dea says goodbye to Herman.
However, just as Dea wanted to step away, suddenly there were several members of Julian's extended family coming to their house, including the man's mother. Their faces looked cynical, not a single hint of smile was on their faces.
"Heh, Herman! Where's our money! Today is the last day on which you must pay off your debts to our family!" julian's mother shouted with her help even the neighbors next door heard her screams very clearly.
"debt? What debts?" Questions that lie in the minds of the neighbors. Not to mention the question of why Dea was divorced on the night of her bride, now the family of the girl's ex-husband even came to collect a debt.
"Mom, calm down. Let's talk about this inside. Don't be here, we're ashamed, ma'am. There were neighbors," said Herman, staring intently at Julian's mother.
"No need! Let's just be embarrassed. Let the neighbors here know what's the reason my son divorced this girl the night of their bride! If you don't want to be embarrassed, you better give us our money back!" upset Julian's mother while extending her hand before Herman.
"But, for now we still can't pay for it. Give us more time so that we can collect the money" said Herman once again.
In that village, Julian's extended family belonged to a distinguished family. Even the villagers were disinclined to their families. And even though the position of Dea and her family is not wrong. However, people will still blame them because the villagers will certainly trust the words of the man's family.
Julian's mother laughed cynically at Herman's reply. "What did I say!" sahut Julian's mother while snorting in annoyance.
Not only the woman, the rest of her family laughed. Laugh at Herman and his family. Herman and Susi who were now standing next to him, looked at each other with resigned faces.
"We promise to keep paying it to you, even if we have to pay it" Herman said again, trying to convince.
"Painting, you say? What do you think we're spending that money on that way, right? That's right!" upset Julian's Mother. "Already! Now you accept your fate! From now on prepare your ears to listen to the babble of the villagers!"
"Please, Mom!"
"Already, Mas. No matter how much you give, they will never care about you. We better get in." Susi pulls Herman by the hand and invites her husband into their house. While Dea was still speechless at the place while paying attention to the attitude of the Julian family that he really never expected before.
"Good! Go ye! You wimps!" julian's mother shouted loudly.
"Hey, you're Muara Asri villagers! You must be wondering why my son Julian divorced this girl on their first night? The answer is because this girl is no longer holy. I don't know who he did it with! The man ate his jackfruit and Julian got his gum. It's delicious!" yelled at the woman again.
Of course the screams of the woman were clearly heard in the ears of the neighbors and they began to gossip there. Talk about the disgrace that befell Dea and her little family.
Dea shook her head slowly. "Oh my God, Mom. I never thought Mom's mouth was like that. Isn't the Mother of the family well-regarded, but why doesn't Mother's mouth have any manners at all?" said Dea astonished with teary eyes.
"From you! Your face and attitude look innocent, but it turns out that behind your innocence, there is an uncontrollable naughty soul! The proof is that you are no longer holy!" resounding.
