The Seed of the Heir

The Seed of the Heir
Chapter 30

"Why did the man come here?" whispers Susi To Virna.

"Where do I know, Mom. I'm still a kid. What are you talking about, I still don't understand" replied Virna.

"Gee! Quiet, Quiet! We'd better just listen to what that guy wants Dea to talk about."

Dea invited his three guests to sit on the sofa in the front room and they immediately sat there. Dea watched the three guests one by one with a serious look.

First, Julian. The man looked indifferent and it was as if between himself and the man there had never been any relationship at all.

Second, the woman. The beautiful woman who had been holding and hugging Julian's burly arms while continuing to smile sweetly for him.

And lastly, the man. A man is almost the same as Julian, but looks more mature. His clothes were neat and it seemed like the man was no ordinary person. He was carrying a black tote bag that had no idea what it was, Dea did not know.

"What do you really want?" ask Dea.

"Ehm .. previously I wanted to introduce my name. I'm Martin. I'm Mr. Julian's lawyer."

"Lawyer?" Dea looked confused.

"It goes without saying, Mr. Martin. After all the girl won't understand even if you explain your assignment here. It's best to just hand over the file and ask him to sign it" Julian interrupted with a lazy face staring at Dea.

The formally dressed man named Martin turned out to be a lawyer who was deliberately hired by Julian to take care of his divorce with Dea to quickly finish. And now they just need Dea's signature and everything will work out.

Mr. Martin nodded slowly. The man grabbed the tote bag he had been holding and opened it. He took the divorce papers Dea had to sign and handed them over to the girl.

"Please sign here" said Mr. Martin, pointing to an empty room where Dea had to sign his signature.

Dea grabbed a pen that was indeed provided by Mr. Martin with trembling hands. Before signing the divorce papers, Dea again asked the lawyer.

"If I sign this paper, does that mean that Mas Julian and I are officially divorced?" dea asked with a sad look at Mr. Martin.

"Yes." Yeah." Very short and clear answer. There was nothing more that Dea had to ask the man.

Deep down, Dea refused the divorce. His love for Julian was so great. Even he still wished he could live with her, just like their promise once was. However, all of that is just a memory and it is impossible to happen again.

After signing the dossier, Julian and the woman finally smiled. While Dea again dissolves in her sadness. How not, now their status is really officially divorced. Whether it is by religious law, or by state.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Julian took out an invitation from his jacket pocket and handed it to Dea and Dea greeted him immediately.

"This is my wedding invitation with Reva. You know him already, right? Yeah, she's Reva, my cousin and my future wife." Julian proudly introduced the woman named Reva to him.

Julian didn't even care how devastated Dea felt back then. Yes, forgetting someone so special in our hearts is not as easy as turning our palms. The same was felt by Dea at the time. He could not even forget Julian's figure and now easily the man introduced his new bride.

"Reva!" The woman extended her hand before Dea with a faint smile.

Dea tried to smile even though her heart felt like it was being ripped apart. "Dea."

"As promised, right? I will hand over my wedding invitation as well as take care of our divorce. Oh yeah, don't forget to show up at our special event, yeah. I make sure our wedding will be the grandest and most festive wedding in the village. So, you won't feel wasted coming to our wedding party later."

Julian hugged Reva's shoulder while kissing the top of his head. "That's right, honey?"

Reva nodded slowly. "Yes. Don't forget to come, Dea."

"Yes. Sure oes. Thank you for the invitation" Dea said.

"All right then. Since everything is in order, it's time for us to go home." Julian immediately got up from his sitting position then grabbed Reva's hand and helped her up.

"Thank you so much for your time, Dea. Good day," said Mr. Martin.

"Good day" Dea said.

With a heavy heart, Dea delivered his three guests to the doorway and after they left, Dea immediately closed the door tightly.
