Julian stood on the shore crying for his fate. He stared at the depth of the night with tears continuing to pour out on both cheeks.
"God, why did you give me this kind of trial twice? Why?!" he shouted, trying to bring out all his frustration and disappointment in that place.
Julian ruffled his hair violently then dropped himself between the waves. He again sobbed and continued to curse indistinctly at the place.
The next day, at Susi's residence.
As usual, Dea woke up early today. After completing his task in the kitchen, Dea rushed to open the window because the sunlight had begun to show its light.
When opening the glass curtains in front of the house and Dea gasped in shock when the two neutrals saw a person with a tangled appearance standing on the porch of the house.
"Isn't that Julian? What really happened to him and why is he here?" muttered Dea while linking her two eyebrows in wonder.
For quite a while Dea was silent in front of the glass while paying attention to Julian's pathetic-looking appearance while thinking hard. Eventually, he decided to approach the man.
Slowly Dea opened the main door then walked a few steps outside and stopped at a fairly safe distance. Julian, now aware of Dea's whereabouts, smiled, though his face still looked disheveled and pitiful.
"Dea ...."
"Why are you, Mas? Is there a problem?" asked Dea cautiously.
He kept trying to keep a safe distance from Julian. He was afraid that the man was drunk and did nothing to him. Julian tried to take one step forward while Dea retreated two steps back.
"Don't be afraid, Dea. I'm not going to hurt you, trust me" Julian said.
Although Julian had already convinced that the man would not hurt himself, but it was not that easy Dea believed.
"Don't come any closer, Mum! I could have shouted and woke up the people around," Dea said.
"Trust me, Dea. I have no evil intentions for you. I just wanted to apologize, that's all." Julian cupped his hands together on his chest with his face parched at Dea.
Dea is now on the doorstep and ready to enter and leave Julian there. However, Dea had not entered, Julian desperately ran and hugged Dea tightly.
"I'm sorry, Dea! I'm sorry! Very-very sorry!"
Dea flinched in shock and could not escape Julian who hugged her all of a sudden. Dea gathered all her strength and tried to break away from the man's embrace.
Julian's dirty body, full of sand and smelling of alcohol, made Dea very uncomfortable. The girl's stomach churned again and her head was suddenly dizzy.
Hearing the noise outside, Susi and Herman rushed up from their beds. The couple ran to the front porch and saw something they had never imagined.
"Heh, let go of my sister!" herman shouted as he approached Dea and Julian.
Herman was already unable to contain his emotions when he saw Dea who was so frightened in Julian's arms. He gripped tightly onto Julian's dirty shirt collar and then hit the man hard in the face.
Bughhh!
"Akh!" it was Julian who finally broke his embrace.
Herman pulls Julian's body and takes him to the front yard of the house, where Dea's position is safely out of the man's reach.
"Brengs*k you, Julian! Are you still not satisfied enough to hurt my sister, ha?!"
"No, Mas Herman. Mas misunderstood, I just want to apologize to Dea," said Julian while holding Herman's hand that wanted to slide into his face.
Meanwhile, Susi approached Dea who was still frightened and then stood beside her. The woman smiled sinisterly as she looked at Julian who was now being compassionate to Herman.
"What happened to that haughty man? And where's his wife, who he so flattered?" Susi threw her gaze around the place and looked for the whereabouts of Reva or her other family.
"Eh, Dea, Julian said are you the same?" ask Susi later.
"Di-he said he was sorry and wanted to apologize. That's it, brother," Dea replied stammeringly.
Susi smiled again. "Repent? But, why? Didn't he just get married? It should have been the most beautiful night for him and his new wife. Right, right?"
Dea shook her head slowly. "I don't know, Brother."
Right at that moment a horde of Julian family arrived there with panicked faces. The exorbitant mother immediately approached Herman and Julian, then broke up with them.
"Julian! What is this actually?! Why are you even here and leaving your wife alone?" tekik Julian's mother with an annoyed face looked at her son.
Julian's head was bowed to the ground and his lips were still tightly locked. While Reva, he also followed to the place and sobbed in the arms of one of Julian's cousins.
