The Story of the Children of the Juragan
136. Visiting the oma

That afternoon Salman invited Wulan to go to his oman's house. To announce the departure plan of Umrah. Wulan happily came.

After saying farewell to his family, they set out for the residence of Oma Rohmah. Salman opened the door for Wulan. Then the car drove at medium speed.

Wulan seemed to enjoy the scenery along the road to the Oma residence. The vast expanse of rice fields, feels so refreshing to the eyes.

Salman deliberately let his wife enjoy her time like that. The car stopped in front of the counter.

"You want to buy a pulse, ma'am?" Wulan looked at Salman.

"I never bought a pulse, anyway. That counter guy has papa." Salman said lightly.

"Ish, evil huh. Turns out papa had a counter business huh. Why don't you ever tell a story?" Wulan hit her husband's arm slowly.

"I used to tell you, I told you. Maybe you just forgot. Because I think too much of me." Salman immediately got out of the car, before getting another blow from his wife.

After exiting, Salman opened the door for Wulan. Salman clasped his wife's hand lovingly as he walked.

"Fatim." exclaimed Wulan, when he entered the courtyard of the house, and saw the girl who had been present to his wedding was sitting talking to his grandfather.

"Guil." The two threw smiles and hugged.

"Why are you in Oma's house?"

"I helped my grandfather sell, Wulan."

"Maa shaa Allah, awesome. You're a great girl." Wulan praised Fatim with a sparkling face.

"I'm going in first."

After saying goodbye, Wulan and Salman headed home.

"Assalamu'alaikum" said Oma as she opened the door for her grandson.

"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat. Oma, it should have been Salman who said. It was Salman who was visiting." they chuckled at the same time.

"It doesn't have to be like that, baby. It just so happened that Oma heard the sound of your car. When Oma looked through the window, it was true that you were coming. Let's go in."

They also shake hands and kiss the back of Oma's hand with reverence before entering the house.

While Wulan and Salman sat down, Oma went to the kitchen to make drinks and snacks.

Wulan circulated her sweeping gaze to every corner of the house that might be as vast as her bedroom.

"Oma Rohmah's house is simple. Not like Oma Ani's house. Both are comfortable to live in. Sometimes Aisyah and her husband stay here too." Salman explained to his wife. Even if he knew his wife would not insult his mother's house.

"Yes, the important thing is comfort. I'm happy here too. Minimalist house. No need to be tired of cleaning it. There are rivers and rice fields too. If I'm saturated, see the rice field directly back fresh."

"Thank you, Oma. Shouldn't bother.Wulan can really take it yourself."

"It's okay. Let's eat." Oma repeated, reminding.

Wulan without hesitation tasted the serabi cake.

"Sweetie, Oma. Tastes savory. Wulan likes."

While enjoying the serabi cake, they talked about umrah. Oma Rohmah, was very happy when he got the offer.

Without feeling, the voice of the Dhuhur Adhan was heard. Salman and Oma said goodbye to prayer at the mosque.

Wulan who was in trouble did not come to the mosque. Instead of approaching to Fatim who is serving buyers.

"I'd like to try it too. Make for me. A lot of saos. Because I like spicy." pinta Wulan.

"Okay. Just a minute." Fatim immediately prepared Wulan's order in a plastic bowl container.

"Nih" said Fatim while thrusting a peek that reflected the hot smoke.

"The smell is good." said Wulan before trying.

He stabbed the biggest one and then bribed it into his mouth.

"Enak once, Fatim." chanted again, bribing.

Fatim smiled at the woman who was able to melt his heart.

Both conversing. Tell me the difference between the two. Sometimes they both throw jokes.

When there are buyers approaching, Wulan also learns to serve. It feels good to have friends of different professions.

Until he was unaware his family who had paid to the mosque had returned home. They sat down near Fatim and Wulan.

"Grandfather, don't expect that. The Caucasian people are also willing to eat lilok." joked Somad's grandfather. Those who heard also chuckled.

"Tomb whistle whatever you want, cake. He has also lived in Indo for a long time. Grandpa's tried western food yet? If not, when to play at Wulan house is the same Fatim. Let mommy make it." Wulan chimed in on Grandpa Somad's words cheerfully.

They joked around while waiting for the buyer. When the buyer comes. Wulan rose from her seat to serve. It is very easy to serve the buyer. That was his first experience.

Buyers are increasingly coming when they see that serving is a bule. They even wanted to take a picture with Wulan. Salman's wife agreed with pleasure.

It is a beautiful partnership if we are willing to open our hearts to others.
